Review 1：Room wasn't properly cleaned and had plastic bottle under bed. Waiter at restaurant took forever to bring menu and never smiled.

Review 3：Dirt stains on the room carpet, but also on the corridors. The very modern elevator couldn't be called from the 3rd floor. Very dirty children seats in the restaurant (we refused to use it).

Review 5：The hotel is nicely renovated, with modern furniture and appliances. It is situated right across the street from the beach, it has a nice and large enough pool, a pool for kids and a playground. The breakfast is ok, with a great variety of food and drinks. The personnel was amiable and very helpful. I would definitely return to this hotel again.

Review 9：Personalul si serviciile atat ale hotelului cat si ale restaurantului au fost exceptionale. In primul rand am avut o surpriza placuta in momentul cand am intrat in camera. Am avut mai multe discutii pe e-mail referitoare la faptul ca vor fi doua persoane adulte care vor dormi in pat cu un baietel de 3 ani, in final solicitand o camera cu pat dublu. In schimb am primit un pat enorm, facut din doua paturi simple si un pat pliant la mijloc pe care era pusa o saltea la acelasi nivel cu paturile. Cred ca patul avea apropate 3 m, foarte incapator si confortabil pentru toti. A fost extraordinara ideea si le multumesc celor care au facut acest aranjament, fara cost suplimentar. De asemenea, pe toata perioada tot personalul a fost foarte atent la dorintele noastre, de la receptie, persoane care faceau curatenie in camera si domnisoara de la restaurant care ne servea prompt, facea recomandari foarte bune si deborda de energie pozitiva cu care era imposibi sa nu te incarci si tu.

Review 10：Frigiderul ar fi trebuit conectat la un circuit electric separat de cele controlate de cardul magnetic, pentru a functiona in continuu, si nu doar in perioada in care eram in camera; Locul de joaca pentru copii situat in plin soare; Uneori nu gaseam disponibile scaunbe de masa pentru copii; Pacat de aceasta oaza situata intr-o statiune in paragina.

Review 11：It was very empty when we were there so breakfast was not open buffet, but order-based. Juice was bad (artificial). Close to the beach, but no sun beds available for hotel guests.

Review 12：Modern, everything seemed new, good staff, nice park for children, nice pool, large free parking. Overall very good.

Review 13：The hotel also hosts pool parties and they are loud and you can't escape the noise anywhere in the hotel. If you stay over the weekend and value your night sleep, INSIST on getting a room on the parking lot side - they are a bit quieter. We knew of the "party problem" from friends, asked for a room with a parking lot view, but the person at the reception desk dismissed our concerns. As a result, at 2 o'clock on Saturday morning, after trying hard to sleep for a couple of hours, we were moved to a room as originally requested with the profuse apologies of the personnel. We still heard the music from the party, but it was possible to sleep.

Review 14：Very good location in a very green area a couple of minutes from the beach. Very clean. Enormous and comfortable bed. The personnel is very nice and helpful. Good and decently varied breakfast. The food at the hotel's restaurant is very good, if a bit pricey.

Review 15：Unfortunately the staff is typically Romanian. The bell boy, who is eager to show you the way to your room on arrival but doesn't bother how you manage to carry the luggage on your own is only the first impression. Worst of all is the restaurant. If you have 15 minutes till the waiters finds out you exist, another 15 minutes till you are asked if you want to order something and all in all one hour, until you get a one-star-food, then this is the place where you should go every evening. Pity, the owners invest in the hardware and disregard the training of the employees. All in all a nice place to sleep, but this is it.

Review 16：The hotel is very nice with it's modern design, has all facilities and deserves the four stars. Parking is for free and the entire hotel compound is very well taken care of. Neither the size of the room nor the cleaning is something to criticize - it was really OK.

Review 17：The location (the hotel in itself its a great place to be, but the sorroundings...are dirty, not lightened at night), some days with "reserved places" in the pool area, although there were planty of sunbeds available, the restaurant (quite expensive for the quality and quantity offered), noise on the corridors during the afternoon hours

Review 19：Breakfast definitely not a four star; presentation is trying to mimic four star, but quality-wise not sure is worth two; first of all, you get no service, not even coffee service..nothing on the table is fine quality or home-made except for the eggs.. only cheap meets, hotdogs, cheeses, pastries, some fruit...no good choices of cereals either, no porridge, etc, etc.. Bread choices (two only) are absolute cheapest.. Same goes for the fruit, I tried the kiwis and they were sower.. They constantly ran out of cups, breads, croissants, tomatoes, etc.. So a lot of room to improve.. We also had twice lunch there ...tastier than the breakfast.. The room temperature inside the dining area, too cold, we were freezing. The pool area looks good, I would recommend moving the playground for kids on the left side, so that the kids cannot go out on the street..or, just put a fence 100% around it as it too easy for the kids to walk out directly on the street.. The beach and the way to it through bushes and fecal matters are lame, including the sand, the surrounding amenities and the sea-water quality.. In the end, we preferred to stay to swim in the hote's pool..

Review 20：Nice update of the facility; very clean everywhere, with attention the detail; staff very friendly, even when appeared overwhelmed; food is good, but I would not say it deserves four-star.

Review 21：Not enough shadow by the pool especially at noon when the sun is really hot. The beach close to the hotel is not that nice. The room we had didn't have a safe though we received info on how to use it in the room.

Review 23：We had to wait till 3pm to get a room due to some sort of ...slow motion housekeeping work. The room at the end we had to decline as was not even equipped with a deposit box and the view was straight on the restaurant's roof. Then, I was amazed how ppl simply occupied the sun beds by the pool even for a whole day ..simply by letting some toys or towels on each of them. Only in ro one can do that.. Breakfast still horror, unfortunately not much to say was just bad...

Review 24：We like the idea of the hotel and we decided to return this year also. It is without a doubt the most comfortable place to spend some days and get a good time sleep( very comfy beds and pillows).

Review 25：Families with little babies should think twice before choosing this hotel. You can not move the stroller among the hotel's areas without lifting it up or down, dangerous slippery main hotel ramp half covered by water in rainy days, hardly accommodate a standard baby cot due to the room size, the music coming from the restaurant and bar area is too loud in the evening (until around 23:00), private party during the weekend evening with very loud music ... we experienced 10 minutes of booming fireworks (22:30-22:40, how is this possible?! we had to cover the baby's ears), no soundproof rooms, they did not fix the bathroom ventilation which was broken from the very first day, shower hose and head broken, no bed sheets replacement for a 5 nights stay, if your baby's nap ends at 13:00 you better don't ask for late checkout in the day you leave.

Review 26：Modern design (perhaps the architect(s) did the best for this refurbished hotel), very clean (but not spotless), good food, nice outside pool & bar area, playgrounds for kids, free and secure parking place, wi-fi everywhere, attentive stuff (most of them). Recommended for all groups of travelers but not for families with young children (read further).

Around Melodia resort ( exterior : road, beach, green area ??? ) very poor image, a lot of garbage, and local authorities ( Mangalia administration ) should do more on cleaning aspects everywhere in Venus - no garbage containers on the beach and the cleaning on beach is missing totally.

Review 61：I am working in the same industry and is great to see such a well runhotel, great staff always trying to help, great location even though notright close to the sea but with an excellent pool amenities, fitnesscenter indoor which I did not get the chance to visit and outsidefitness machines set up in the yard next to the pool. Everything wasspotless clean from the rooms, pool with towels provided by the hotel,the reception and the restaurant. We witness a night of entertainmentcombined with wine tasting on the terrace of the hotel which was donewith a great taste with Romanian poets and writers giving their ownprospective on the importance of wine in the process of writing, and Iam sorry to say but for Romania was a first. We absolutely loved ourstay and we definitely will come back for more next time.

Review 62：The hotel does not benefit of its own beach therefore you have to "experience" an unpleasant sharing of sea side with a lot of ordinary people and an uncleaned sand beach across the street. To lease its own beach side it is a must !

Review 70：Excellent! Venus is not bad - quiet, pretty clean, beach is very nice, water is mostly clean (there's also a huge beach at 10-15 min walking distance - South). There were also decent restaurant choices near the hotel.

Review 71：There is a live band playing in the restaurant every evening and they are doing this very loud. Half of the hotel rooms are facing the restaurant and I was in one of them; At 10PM I called the reception because the kid could not sleep and I got moved to another room on the other side. To be fair to the hotel staff, they reacted very quickly, in 5 minutes they found me another room. The second negative aspect are the cleaning ladies who were making a lot of noise around 2-3-4 pm, time interval when the kids are usually sleeping (adults also since you are on vacation). When I asked them why they are doing this they explained that during the weekend people are checking in and out and it's their job. I understand this and I understand the vacuum noise but I see no reason why you need to scream and smash the doors. But again, to be fair to them, after I talked to them they stopped screaming and smashing doors
