Review 1：I have stayed at Sierra motel several times. the owners not only keep it up. they replace things - - like showers -- before there is a need. I never seen anything that looks worn. Everything always works.
Review 2：In the winter they don't preheat the rooms and it takes a while (half hour plus) to get the room to a comfortable temp. Also our room door was EXTREMELY difficult to latch securely. We had to slam it several times each use to ensure it latched at all. Even with all the slamming, we came back once to it STANDING OPEN about three inches. One last issue is that you only get one room key. For myself and my partner this was a pain as we were there on business and weren't always on the same schedule. Made planning more difficult than it needed to be.
Review 3：Nothin fancy here, but for the budget traveller it's perfect. Outdated rooms, but they are well cared for, have fairly modern appliances and were very clean. Good location a mile or two from downtown Traverse City. Unforeseen perks: Staff is super friendly and they actually use fabric softener on their bathroom towels, so they aren't as picky as some of the larger corporate chains. Overall- for the area, location and price, if you don't need fancy accommodations I would recommend the Sierra.

Review 5：There is no way to get a better business case on that. Staff was amazing, rooms are enough to sleep and really clean. To complete my excellent experience I parked my car just in front of my room.
Review 6：The room was very clean and exactly what we needed. We stayed for two days and housekeeping noticed one of the pillows folded in half and left us an extra one, very thoughtful! We would definitely stay again!

Review 10：The only negative things I can say is that our ice box wasn't clean, there was some dust and cobwebs on the radiator, and the vending machine outside ate my money and there wasn't an "out of order" sign on it, but the staff reimbursed me for that, so none of these things are a big deal at all.
