Reviews for El Nido Resorts - Lagen Island
Review 1:Not sure value for money is that good.. If you charge like luxury resort you should provide few more facilities.. Breakfast and dinner buffet is poor.
Review 2:Great resort, relaxing and quite spot out of el nido hussle . Awesome staff.
Review 3:The wifi was very spotty, but considering how remote the island is, it's amazing they even have wifi.
Review 4:The staff was really friendly and helpful. They went the extra mile to be accommodating with our food allergies and activities. The island is so beautiful!!
Review 5:Spa treatment (Orange wrap - wouldn't recommend). But this is such a small thing on a big scale of things. I would definitely recommend this hotel - taking holidays in a place like this is memory for life!
Review 6:Personalised service, all staff remembered your names and room number. Kayaks available at all times at no cost. Activities options are brilliant and reasonably priced. (Not more expensive than on the main land). We took a hiking trail through the woods which ended on a private beach on the other side of the island, staff organised beach towels, 2 vests and kayak waiting for us!!!! so we can kayak back. That made us feel cared for. We had a special table setting organised by Gami (cheerful barman) for my birthday by the pool and looking into the ocean. And we had a special dinner prepared for us! Price in the restaurant and the bar is very reasonable. At all times you are treated as VIP. Staff are very attentive to your needs! View is breathtaking.
Review 7:Sometimes staff could have been more attentive, a la carte menu a little limited.
Review 8:Beautiful location, excellent facilities, accomodation was lovely. Very quiet and an excellent resort to just relax in.
Review 9:It is admittedly quite pricey - especially for the Philippines.
Review 10:We were trying to decide between El Nido Resort at Lagen or at Miniloc. (We looked at Pangalusian, but it's more than $800 US per night.) We chose Lagen, and we are so glad. The backdrop is stunning - such spectacular mountains that no photos can do justice to them. And it's far more peaceful than Miniloc. (Miniloc definitely had advantages: It has great snorkeling right in front, and it's also right near the famous lagoons, so you can kayak there. But it just didn't seem as peaceful. After we visited Miniloc, we were so grateful to get back to the serenity of Lagen.) We stayed in the Water Cottage, which was gorgeous. Not sure if the forest rooms would be as nice; the highlight was the view. Moreover, we were there during a typhoon. In the comfort of the water cottage, we still loved our stay. Even though it was pouring rain for two days, it was still so beautiful, because of the mountain views from the water cottages.
Review 11:The resort offers an extra package which includes lunch and dinner and some activities. We could not determine ahead of time exactly how it works. We found that we could do a one day package, so planned our activities for that day. The resort offers buffet meals as well as ala carte, but on the package only the buffet is available.
Review 12:The staff is over the top in their efforts to be friendly and helpful. The location is beautiful and very peaceful. The activities were well planned and run efficiently. The swimming pool is very large. We visited Miniloc and found they have no pool.
Review 13:Food (buffet) and drinks are very expensive Overwater bungalows are nice but didn't quite live up to our expectations Very hot and humid in November
Review 14:Extremely friendly and helpful staff Guests feel very welcome there Great setting right within natures best Good snorkeling and diving
Review 15:The spectacular views, the staff were so helpful and always friendly, and the organised day-trips were well worth doing as part of the stay (rather than organising them yourself in town).
Review 16:Overpriced.
Review 17:Absolutely beautiful location. A paradise.
Review 18:Nothing avrey thing is perfict food staf location
Review 19:Location very perfict and view and staf very frendly

Review 25:awesome people at Lagen Island. seen Monkeys, Lizards, Birds, Fish, Very relaxing, peaceful, trip, Highly Recommend....
Review 26:Wish there were more a la carte menu options. Also wish we could visit other islands without being restricted to timetable of planned activities. Some elements of rooms could use renovation.
Review 27:Scenery was breathtaking, service was wonderful, many activities available. You can't beat the views though!
Review 28:The restaurant facility was very institutional feeling, it did not fit in with the setting not incorporate the view enough. It was actually quite depressing feeling. The outdoor buffet stations were very smokey and you leave the restaurant smelling like food. It could definitely use a redesign with operational and aesthetic improvements
Review 29:The setting, the location, the staff, the accommodations and activities, the pool.
Review 30:Need to fix the electricity in the room. But anyway, staff are there right away when we call them to check and fix it..
Review 31:Amazing location.. Peaceful, perfect place for relaxing.. Me and my wife enjoy and planning to go back again.. We like the activities and we enjoy the snorkeling in every island.. Such a nice experience and foods are all delicious!
Review 32:It would have been good to have Tea & Coffee making facilities in the room but not essential as a quick call is all it takes for anything to be delivered to your room.
Review 33:Beautiful location and resort with excellent facilities. Staff are fantastic, friendly & professional which made our stay even more enjoyable. We will certainly return one day for another visit as we had a very relaxing time. There are plenty options for excursions or events to see outside the resort which I would recommend as there are so many beautiful sights to see.
Review 34:fishing is not allowed on or near the island law and resort is strictly abiding by that. there is no beach on the resort island itself but day trips are arranged by the resort to nearby islands with astonishing beaches.
Review 35:location, nature, food and service. staff and management close care of guests needs and security from before arrival to the resort till after departure
