Pension Lipa, ideally located in central Kranjska Gora in the center of the Upper Sava Valley, is a small family-run hotel.
The guesthouse offers not only comfortably furnished, spacious rooms, but also a winter garden and a big terrace for the summer season.
Pension Lipa boasts a restaurant which is known for an excellent selection of international cuisine. The meals are prepared from fresh and carefully selected ingredients.
The specialties of the house are seafood, meat dishes, game and cake with homemade ice cream. In addition to all the dishes 25 different pizzas are baked in the wood burning stove.

Review 2：Perfect. Clean, big room, new bathroom, good location. Best restaraunt in the town. But it would be better to have breakfast upstairs at the veranda. Very hospitable owners. Best hotel we've met during our stay in Slovenia.

Review 6：The place, Kransjka Gora have lots of opportunities in Summertime to stay 10 days at the same hotel as we did. Tourist Authority organised some evenings concerts for the tourists.

Review 8：- Great Location in the mountains - Clean rooms, spacious and comfortable - Enough choice of food (buffet) at breakfast and they provide you with fresh baked food (eggs, pancakes etc) from the kitchen every morning as well. - Very friendly staff and they can give information about the area - Discounts to nearby spa/sauna - the restaurant for diner is amazing! the food is wonderfull and so good! We can defenitely recommend this penzion. I would stay there again!

Review 12：Staff is good but few speak English and I rated not excellent since I think they should try to be more friendly. During my staying period, it was -12 to -8 degrees Celsius but the heating was not so warm and I always needed the blanket.

Review 13：Clean room and comfortable enough. I think the location is a bit far from the slopes but Granjska Gora is so small so it is not a problem. The staff kindly booked the shuttle for me to come and back from Ljubljana.

Review 16：Lovely pension with a super breakfast. The staff were nice and the room was very comfortable. The restaurant was always full of locals (always a good sign!) and the food was great and reasonably priced. You could use the bikes for free, there are loads of cycling and walking trails that run near the pension. We really enjoyed our 4 nights here and would definitely go back.

Review 44：The pension is located a walk away from the city center, hiking trails and a bus station. a super market and a good confectionery. The Pension's restaurant is very recommended and breakfast is reach. There are also cookies and fruits are free and available all day long.

Review 45：The room was very spacious with a large very clean bathroom. The balcony had lovely views of the mountains. The staff were exceptionally helpful and willing to please. Stella was brilliant and had lots of good suggestions about places to visit. We thought the location was amazing and there were lots of easy bike rides to do. we even cycled to Italy for lunch. We had a superb holiday that was truly enhanced by the wonderful accommodation, staff and generous portions of delicious food. Thank you Pension Lipa.

Review 46：We stayed in the pension one night and were not at all pleased. We made the reservation, knowing this is a pretty expensive hotel comparing to others in the same location, expecting quality. It turned out that the room was smaller than what appeared in the pictures, the bed was squeaky and small and although there were 3 rooms available when we made the reservation, the receptionist told us that we got this room because it was the only one available. The place clearly does not justify it's rating any longer. Not recommended!

Review 47：The weather was very hot when we were staying at the Lipa and without air conditioning the bedrooms were somewhat stiffling. That said I understand that a considerable amount of work is planned at the end of the season to extend and improve the premises.

Review 48：Our room was spacious, comfortable and clean and had a wonderful view from the balcony to the mountains beyond. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We were on a bed and breakfast package although in the evenings we ate in the restaurant on a number of occassions. A cooked breakfast was available if required and offered a very extensive range of options. The dining menu was also very extensive and offered something for all budgets, such as pizzas and pasta up nouveau cusuine type dining. The pension was ideally situated just outseide the centre of the village with plenty of parking if you had hired a car. There was also a bus stop just next to the pension which was very handy for visiting other places in the area. This was our third visit to Kranjska Gora over the years and the best pension we have stayed in so far. We had a very enjoyable time and certainly look forward to going back again in the future.

Review 64：Arrived at the Pension Lipa after a long drive from Kaprun, Austria.Having read the online reviews before booking, I expected the bedroomfurniture to be dated. It was. However, the bed was absolutely terrible.As I sat on the bed, there was no support at all. It was possible tofeel each individual spring and I sank to the point where my posteriorhit the bed frame. I have never experienced such a poor bed in 40 yearsof staying in hotels worldwide.I explained to the reception staff, who was doubling as the bar staff, that I was not prepared to sleep in such a bed. I enquired as to the age of the mattress and he told me that it was only 3 years old. It felt more like a mattress from the 1950's. He showed us another room and the bed was the same. Terrible. He told me that it was my problem as we had prepaid the room. We left! Sure enough, no refund.
