Review 1：No window in family room, dusty furniture, paint peeling and mould in bathroom. Air con made strange sound. Terrible value for money so I'd suggest looking elsewhere!! Stopped off for 10 hrs only prior to flying out but would have struggled with this room if there any longer!!!

Hotel is not recommended for people travelling with children, (red district location and this is a motel, if you know what i mean), not so friendly staff, but if you are just looking for a place where you can rest and freshen up for a short time, this will be ok for the price.

Review 11：Room is too small.For an area of app.80sq.ft. to accomodate a double bed and a wash room, one has difficulty to find a place to place his luggage.There is only one lift for the whole building.I have to climb 8 flloor to my room because the only lift break down during my stay in this hotel.

They said to me as long as she pay for one night and when I arrived from AustraliaI can pay the rest of the bill, however when sister rang to confirm the one night payment she was told that it's not so,I was disappointed my family and myself had stay inHotel 81 before it's great location for family gathering

Review 18：Don't expect high level service however they get things done when asked. The sheets and towls gets changed everyday however you will find some stains on some. Something worth mentioning is that the hotel is usually used for short stays by "couple". Not exactly suitable for families with kids.

Review 32：The deal that I was supposed to get was a superior room and it looks spacious in the picture. When i checked into my room, it was so small, there was hardly any space for me to do my prayers. In the end i had to pray near the toilet door. The bed covers kept coming off the next morning. The lightbulb blow and the time taken for the serviceman to come was really dissapointing. Not to mention, there were sex workers checking in and out of the rooms. Might not be a suitable place for families with children.

Review 35：Stayed here 24-27Dec,travel with my spouse and 01kid,is not comfortable for us sleep on a small bed.very small room-very small-,clean toilet and nice shower.poor bed -the bed sheet easily remove from bed :( Room no sound proof,you can hear people walking and talking outside the room corridor,luckily everyday we back to hotel late and tired,can easily sleep :) very good WIFI From hotel walk to orchard central for 20mins,walk to Dhorby Gout MRT 8mins,walk to bugis 15mins.Nearby hotel have lots of restaurant,most of the food buffet Korean BBQ and Chinese restaurant ,nearest halal food restaurant 2mins walk from hotel.starbuck just 3mins walk from hotel :) 7-11 next to hotel,but usually I don't buy from there because the price always expensive than other shop,just walk a little far from hotel there a convenient shop price more cheaper. Will not stay here again if travel with my kid,because you will found that at day/night there people plan doing dirty business in the hotel.you now what I mean....as you can hear their conversation with the receptionist they request check in only 1hr in the hotel :/ Hope my review helps :)

Review 42：The room was very small, even by my tolerance standards. 2.75 metres x 3 metres.....there are prison cells bigger than this. The sheets on the bed are too small, not fitted sheets. They don't stay in place and it makes sleeping quite uncomfortable, as they move with you, and then you end up sleeping on a plastic covered mattress, stuck to your skin. Not cool. Hotel 81, please invest in fitted sheets for your hotel-room beds. I will be one of the thousands of guests who'll thank you. The walls are paper-thin, so you you hear all the other guests in their rooms, especially those you don't understand that shouting into their mobile phones at 120 decibels in Chinese is unnecessary, or that shouting at 120 decibels is totally unnecessary anyway, as the person in the room with you is just 75 centimetres away from you, and can hear you perfectly well when you speak in a quieter tone. A land of rules,, Singapore, could add "Speak quietly in the hallways and rooms of Hotel 81" ("请在走廊和房间悄悄说话") and it would be a good thing!

Review 43：The hotel staff are great, fast to respond to requests, polite and friendly. The location is perfect, 500 metres from the Little India MRT station, a supermarket, a cheap Chinese food mall and the best Indian food around. I would stay there again.
