Review 1:In my booking, i did request for connecting rooms, but it was conveniently disregarded and my mom had to make a fuss before connecting rooms were given to us. If there wasn't any, it should have been made known to us.

Review 2:Fourth time staying in this hotel. Good for a couple nights and value for money.

Review 3:The staffs were not knowledgeable about the rate and policy. Each said different thing. Booked 2 rooms but either said no room or 1 room. Booked with breakfast but said no breakfast. Got to further prove by showing what's indicated in the booking confirmation. In the room only has 1 power point to charge phone. Breakfast only has limited variety. The staff knocked at my door at 3am, asked me if I want water, although I put do not disturb sign. I aaked The concerige if there is a message place nearby. The staff told me 5th floor but I was rejected when I walked in because The spa in the hotel only serves men.

Review 5:The air conditioner control was not working, the room is freezing (either freeze or has to be turn off), mirrors are tinted (can't put any makeup on as you can't see the colour), spa was "only men" service, very small gym

Review 7:Pillow case and bed sheet not properly iron. No electricity supply from 1:30am to 5:30am. Upon check out, tax invoice was not provided. I called two days later requesting for it but was not done. Overall service is deteriorating.

Review 15:We requested for a extra large double bed, what it turns out to be is a twin bed put together as one. The room floor including the bathroom floor are sticky. Basin n shower both with water blocking issue. The mattress are some poor spring quality bed - back pain the next day. The shower glass has white paint and writings on it - looks 'new' in an uncomfortable way. The lightings in the room works fine in the night, but unable to turn on in the morning.. Seems like some sort of energy saving mode. Luckily it was just a one night stay, can't pack our stuffs any faster to seek another shelter.

Review 21:i stayed on 9th floor. poor water pressure in the morning. wash basin no water. shower no hot water. there is a controller in the room but for aesthetic value only. aircond is centralised and even if controller was switched off it was still cold. also, the drainage problem in shower cubicle, will flood. my room is 909. there was also cockroach in the room, refer to letter photo attached.

Review 25:Concierge seemed not interested in helping people with their luggage upon checking in, they were just chit-chatting on one side. Housekeeping and reception had a miscomm - was asking for an adaptor to use the iron; housekeeping came with a full ironing set and when I told what I really needed - said that the iron can be plugged into a special socket on the table under the TV. This info would have been useful (i.e. put on hotel info book, sticker near the ironing board in closet, etc) so I need not have waited for 20mins for them to sort out their miscommunication.

Review 26:Linked to the VIva Mall. Clean and spacious room (booked a room on their Platinum Floor - 12th). Modern amenities. Not as central to the main KL sights. Fast checkout.

Review 27:staff don't replace toilet paper, need to ask several times in different days. room was not cleaned properly. staff is friendly but slow and not efficient. seems that they are going out of business.

Review 29:My first impression of the entire hotel was spoilt by their front office staffs; namely Afnan, Rita and Fezril. Although check-in time is stated as 15.00hrs, I only reached the hotel around 16.30hrs but was told that the room was not ready and was asked to wait for 30 MINUTES! It doesn't make sense as room is supposed to be made ready for me to check-in by 15.00hrs anyway. I was also told that rooms were not available, and when I made noise, I was told I can be given a twin-bed room when I clearly requested via Booking.com for a King-size bed and my request was approved and notified few days in advance. The front-office staff has a very careless attitude, no smile, no greeting and should really be trained to deal with customers to communicate. Being in the hotel industry, the front-office staff should not not use even short phrases like "wait ah, wait ah". The hotel front-office staff really needs a revamp. In short, the entire front-office staff brings a bad reputation to the hotel.

Review 30:The bathroom essentials were really poorly made. There was literally a drop of shaving cream in the packet. Some old soap was left in the shower. The staff have called an executive taxi instead of a normal one.

Review 32:Location is not centralized but I was just looking to stay somewhere near my Proton Service Centre at Jalan Chan Sow Lin. My room only had small towels (hand/face towels) but not big ones for some reason.

Review 36:The water pressure isn't consistent - it was pulsing (gets stronger & weaker repeatedly). One time, the water suddenly turned very hot and another time turned very cold. The bathroom lights above the sink aren't very bright making it a little challenging for applying make-up. The tv channels are quite limited. The location is not very near the city centre but there is a monorail station nearby.

Review 37:We went for an expo at viva mall. The hotel is directly linked to the mall, so it is very convenient. We did not have much interaction with the staff nor did we eat in the hotel's restaurants or used the facilities. The room was nicely decorated - we had a huge photo of the Grand Canyon in our room, it's beautiful. The "open bathroom" concept is very nice too. We left a note for the room attendant to leave more toothpaste and bath gel, and we were really pleased that the room attendant went a step ahead by leaving more bottles of water and shampoo as well as keeping our room exceptionally clean. Thumbs up to room service who served the platinum floor!

Review 38:I didn't like some reception staff, find difficult to under stand us what we want, off course not all them few of them. But still they doing will.

Review 39:I like food at lunch time, the staff with there manger was so nice giving service. There manger was so good, in giving the service. Really it's good staff leading by the manager.

Review 43:We seriously loved the cleanliness and the location of the hotel. However, the first impression we got for the hotel is not that good but once we are inside the hotel we were very satiafied.

Review 44:When i first stay at Vivatel, the room rate was only around Rm170, which was very compatative and good value for money hotel..but after a while..its became 210+..220+ ..and even i paid around 250+ for one occation...not a smart move by the management..will sure to loose lots of customers soon..

Review 46:I've been staying in this hotel for 7-8 times, staying in different rooms, but sad to say i hv encounter several bad experience - 1) the very 1st time could not open the door, and even change the room key still not able to open. 2) the next stay air-con was bad..not working well..hot in the room. 3) another time when i stayed, the toilet was so so smelly, terrible..it was not properly wash n clean.

Review 54:1)house keeping didnt do the job perfectly ,the room is still dirty after room makeup n didnt refill tisue etc... 2) didnt get any notice for bomba test as my leg had surgery last year n i have to walk 11 floors wif staircase n i get hurt again!!!!! 3) my access card keep got problem n cannot use !!!

Review 59:There is a ktv just opposite the hotel, couldn't sleep up till 2am coz it was noisy despite having stayed at level 7 It would be great if they allow to check in earlier before 3pm . I reached at 10am but was told that early check in requires an extra rm 100. So I sat there for a few hours. Having had a long haul flight earlier on. And the hotel wasn't fully booked then. Yes of coz it is their policy, but hopefully can work on it as well their hotels can offer early check in too .

Review 63:I book the hotel through booking.com, and it state breakfast included. But when i go to have my breakfast at the cafe the staff told me that my room not include for breakfast then i go back to reception to check with the staff and he just told me that the system problem. Second thing is when i check in to the room on the floor and bed is full of dust, somore there is still left out a cotton bud on top of bed which is left by previous guest.

Review 69:Front desk staff are rude, have absolutely no courtesy and are unprofessional. They also write down clear credit card numbers on pieces of paper along with expiry dates (which is totally illegal and against merchant regulations by Visa and MasterCard). The hotel front desk have no respect for guests whatsoever and don't care less.

Review 71:The room door was left unlocked when I first found it. The door lock was not functioning normally but I thought it was no big deal so long as it could be locked and unlocked. Power suddenly tripped in my room at mid nite. Maintenance guy who attended to my call pointed out that my door lock had been smashed and torn. I immediately chose to move to another room arranged by the hotel.

The attached mall is great for furniture/home decor shopping but not much on offer otherwise. (Probably the reason for the ample parking spots)

Room was well designed but they kept the broken ornament (fern shaped glass) in the room 1007, a disaster waiting to happen. Housekeeping did not check behind the curtains, found notes and paper airplane from previous occupant.

Review 89:We thought we were only paying $98 Aud for two nights but when we went to pay at the end a whole bunch of taxes were added on we were not told about so we ended up paying $126 Aud. We arrived at 2:45 to check in at 3 but had to wait for over an hour to get in to our room. We also had to wait for over 20 minutes sometimes for taxis. And the first taxi we caught had a fixed price of 30MYR which was double the price of what we should have paid, we would have liked it if the hotel made sure we paid by the meter and not a fixed price. The T.V quality was average, crackling sound etc.

The waiter down at the coffee house was amazing.. can remember the name.. its a chinese guy and a tall malay guy.. you guys make the difference and i will for sure come back and stay with vivatel as the chef and the waiter make my day.

Review 95:I pay rm40 to jockey parking for whole day then I go out to dinner when I come back my parking lot Are parking with another car,then I must parking at the roadside too angry about this hotel greedy behavior.2nd is hotel not ready a shower towel must call operator and wait about 20 min only get the towel

Review 113:Room 1226 - Shower : water temperature & pressure not stable. Sometimes it will stop, like the water tank is empty. After abt 20 seconds, it will start to flow with high pressure. Tv : a bit outdated, will be good if upgrade to the one which can use pendrive and wifi connection. Power points : Number of power points are not enough and there is no power points near the bed.
