Reviews for Mini-hotel Tri Kota
Review 1:A short, 10 min walk to the center. Good satisfying breakfast with several choices. Comfortable bed. Quite residential area. Polite and helpful staff. Possibility of renting a sauna with a small swimming pool.
Review 2:Please consider that there is step and narrow staircase inside the hotel and last 100 m of access road are in poor condition.
Review 3:Central location in very quiet district, private parking, good breakfast, clean room. Excellent value for money.
Review 4:Many narrow stairs. The bathroom pod wasn't attached properly and the water pressure wasn't good.
Review 5:Staff were very obliging. Within walking distance to the Kremlin. Modern building with quirky cat decor.
Review 6:It didn't bother me, but be advised - 10 minutes walk from Kremlin towards the hotel brings you into almost rural area.
Review 7:Small, cute and comfortable little hotel. Almost perfect value for money. Clean rooms, OK breakfast, a lot of figurines and paintings of cats.
Review 8:Although the people who run the hotel are very pleasant, non-Russian speakers should be aware that no English is spoken. Also, it is not possible to pay by bank card and the stairs leading up to some of the rooms are steep and narrow, which might be a challenge with luggage.
Review 9:The room was comfortable, very clean and inexpensive. A simple, tasty and filling breakfast was included in the price. You can walk to the hotel from the Novgorod Kremlin in just a few minutes.
Review 10:We found this classy B&B straightout wonderful. The staff was very nice and helpful (big plus that they even knew German!), the rooms just like the whole hotel were decorated very fancy with those cats everywhere. The whole place is very nicely renovated and perfectly equipped. However, what matters most are all these little things that show that the staff is aware of its guests: in the sauna, they had a water cattle with tea and even sugar. The fact that it is a B&B with not too many guests gives you a feeling that you are a guest at your friend's house.
Review 11:nothing
Review 12:The location is very good. Not in the very center, but in 10 minutes walk from Kremlin park. In 300 m from a gorgeous massive tower. Close to the station and to the shops and restaurants, but at the same time in a quiet place, it a house, not in a block of flats. So location is really good. As far as it is a house, there is a yard there. It's convenient, if you travel with kids. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Mattresses are good. All There are kitchen facilities, such as microwave, fridge, electric kettles, dishes and cutlery. So if you want to make meal yourself - you are welcome. There is also breakfast served. Not buffet, but preordered menu. Porridge is very nice. There's a small swimming pool and a phyto barrel. So you can warm yourself after a frosty day or just relax. The service is nice. Really welcoming and friendly. Will definitely come again! With kids!
Review 13:No hair dryer, no bedside lamp
Review 14:It is a clean, cozy, and well-organised B&B. It feels like staying at home. The house is just outside the city wall in a quiet, safe, residential area (15 min walk to kremlin) and is - as well as the interior - modern and well-maintained. The bathroom was new and breakfast is served in the family kitchen (it seems) downstairs. Although my bus left at 7am and I did not expect breakfast outside the breakfast hours the host lady got up for me to prepare breakfast. Very, very nice place.
Review 15:The staff was lazy and not very polite. There was no toilet available for checked-out guests (we arived at 7 a.m., after a train trip and we couldn't use the toilet till our check-in). All the information are in russian language so is impossioble to understand for a foreigner (some misunderstanding about the breakfast system, the room cleaning and towels changing). Rooms were not soudproof.
Review 16:The position, not so far from the Cremlin and near bus stop (7 or 7A). The room was big and confortable. The breakfast was tasty.
Review 17:Only minor things, nothing serious - windowns should have different types of shadows for white nights. Steep stairs.
Review 18:Small family run pension. Large, clean and comfortable rooms. Nice place to stay indeed.
Review 19:Preferably to have breakfast in time ....
Review 20:The hotel is located quite close to the city centre - within walking distance, the staff was very kind and outgoing, the room had a comfortable king size bed.
Review 21:Street to get to the hotel need to be fixed. Some confusion for the breakfast process, long time of preparation.
Review 22:Nice and quiet area. Very near to the city center. New building, clean and confortable.
Review 23:Everything was fine.
Review 24:Nothing.
Review 25:- The staffs don't speak english. - The room is quiet and clean. - location is near the kremlin - breaksfast is good
Review 26:clean,cozy,beautiful
Review 27:Location, interior.
Review 28:Stairs to the 2nd and 3rd floor are to steep.
Review 29:Everything!
Review 30:It is a really nice hotel, the staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is good and location is really good. One thing, if you are arriving at night I really recommend you book the transfer with them. We paid 250 rubbles and they picked us up from the train station at midnight so we didn't waste any time looking for it.
Review 31:This is a nice hotel in an interesting place to visit. The woman whoruns it was very nice to us! Even though we don't speak Russian andshe doesn't speak English we were able to communicate quite well. Wearrived quite early on the train and expected to just drop off ourluggage, but she kindly invited us into the dining area for tea whilethey cleaned a room for us. Breakfast was really good and served at thetime we requested- you get a choice of meal options on check in (inEnglish). We booked this room before reading the comments on this siteand were glad we did. The location is great! It is in a residential areaand only a short walk to the Kremlin and other sites. The hotel is acombo house and hotel so the woman who runs it lives there with herfamily (we're pretty sure). It is easy to take a city bus from thetrain station if you can figure out which stop to get off, but a taxi isequally easy and inexpensive if you prearrange or barter with thedriver. There is a bus stop very near by so you can take the city bus tothe farther sites. We told the taxi driver the name and he knew it rightoff, but we had the address and general location written down since aprevious poster had difficulty. The room and hotel are more like whatyou would expect if you were staying in someone's home. Ifyou're looking for an American style 5 star you should probably skipNovgorod all together. If you're looking for a basic, clean hotel inan old town with great places to see, Trikota is for you. If you'resomeone who needs a lift/elevator, there is not one, but the hotelis only a few stories. Our room was quite large and had a king bed withprivate bathroom. The bed is traditional style mattress on a platform(not box spring) and the linens were clean, everyday sheets andblankets. This is not the Hilton. Do not expect it to be luxurious. Itis a warm, friendly, clean, new, nice place with kind people running it.
Review 32:Although it was not much of a problem for us the road nearby was pretty pot-holed and muddy. We misunderstood the bedding arrangement and for us the sofa bed was a bit too small for an adult. The shower is also not very big.
Review 33:We were greeted very warmly, although we only knew a few words of Russian, and provided with a bottle of champagne. For us the much smaller atmosphere of this little bed and breakfast was more relaxing than a larger hotel. We loved the sauna which was scheduled as a private retreat!!! There is also a small pool which we did not use as much but children would like. Also having a small breakfast cooked for us at the time of our choice was very convenient. Since use of the kitchen is allowed we also enjoyed making a couple of little meals for ourselves. Veliky Novgorod was absolutely magical at Christmas.
Review 34:Nevertheless not so centrally located. The bus near the hotel departs infrequently. It is not so comfortable if you are without car.
Review 35:Nice private accommodation. Quiet surroundings. Not far from the Kremlin.
Review 36:Not easy to find as in a small street not in the city center. 20 min walk from the forteress entrance.
Review 37:Very nice room, kind staff (even if they don't speak english).
Review 38:There isn't any reading lamp at the bedside, scanty meal, no lift.
Review 39:clean,quiet,cosy, walking distance from the Kremlin. Kettle, fridge and pastry in the kitchen.Your owm key.
Review 40:Отличное место из разряда bed and breakfast. В Новгороде всегда проездом, будем теперь здесь все время останавливаться! Есть питьевая вода, отличный завтрак, дружелюбный персонал, прекрасное расположение.
Review 41:The hostess was lovely its right in the country but close to the old kremlin lovely relaxed place to stay the boat trip is nice. You can swim but the water looked pretty brown.
Review 42:Inconvenient access to the hotel. If you arrive late, can not stay on-site parking. Breakfast is small.
Review 43:Spacious room, comfortable bed. The staff are polite and friendly.
Review 44:Hard to find hotel location. GPS would be solution. Attention to car ties due 200m dirt road.
Review 45:It is 10 room cottage. Located near old Kremlin in pedestrian availability. And about 6km to Wooden Art of Buildings and Uriev Monastery. I had good impression from modern room furniture and fanny wall papers.
Review 46:Air conditioner at our room wasn't worked and personel wasn't able to solve it during a daytime. Night was very warm and uncomfortable. This is not a hotel, actually it is a guest house located at the rural area - quite place from one hand, but you can bee seen in your room just from the neighbor houses. Dogs was also a problem with their voices during the night.
Review 47:Nice, clean room. Hotel is close to the main city cites. Good enough breakfast. Price is ok.
Review 48:Cozy family hotel with great bed and puzzling shower. Staff are benevolent, breakfast is tasty and location is really great, just near the medieval city defense ditch and tower and in ten minutes of walking is XV century Kremlin.
Review 49:In shower no place for shampoos and you have to put then on the floor...No bedside tables - it is not good...
Review 50:Good location, friendly and quiet place. Modern furniture
Review 51:They take 100 rubles (3 $) for each hour of your early arriving. Sotravellers should take care of check-in time not to pay for this.
Review 52:Closeness of the hotel to the castle and the main sightseeings ofnovgorod is the first advantage of choosing tri kota. Friendly staff,cat-furnished rooms and entrance, small but cosy kitchen, calmenvironment... Everything you need for a cultural trip in this hotel. Also, half an hour walk from train station and easy to find location arethe plus sides of the mini hotel.
Review 53:Staff could not speak English well (it will not be a problem if you havebasic level in Russian language )
Review 54:Not far from the center of Novgorod Very clean hotel (mini hotel sinceit has only 6 rooms) Comfortable rooms Friendly Staff
Review 55:No place in bathroom to put towels and clothes for taking shower
Review 56:Ssuna is very good
Review 57:Very nice family run hotel, near to Kremlin. Calm and quiet.
Review 58:The roads around the hotel are in bad conditions
Review 59:bad
Review 60:very nice
Review 61:To find the hotel is rather difficult.
Review 62:The BBQ facility in the garden
Review 63:sauna, flexible approach to the client, delicious breakfast.
Review 64:Tiny shower, narrow stairs (bad for old people)
Review 65:Location, close to the old fortress. Fresh air, neat apartments
Review 66:nothing at all
Review 67:nice, clean mini-hotel with a private parking, conveniently located
Review 68:The Best!
Review 69:very thin walls
Review 70:Awfully rigid mattress
Review 71:hotel is beautiful, clean and nice, I recommend to young people
