Reviews for Killington Grand Resort Hotel

Review 1:The various staff gave conflicting information on when the coaster would be open so we used all three rides on day one., only to find out that it was open each day. You needed more staff at breakfast.

Review 2:Love this hotel. They did well considering the limitations of the weather.

Review 3:while staff was friendly it seemed like they were ill informed of certain amenities the resort had to offer. Staff was always willing to find out the answer, although it seemed that there was little to no communication about certain snowboarding packages & conflicting information. It was frustrating, although I would still recommend this resort to others.

Review 4:couldn't beat the location or convenience. Staff was friendly, food was absolutely delicious everywhere we ate.

Review 5:The only down side was the arcade/game room. Neither the pool table or the air hockey table were working and the room itself was dirty and disheveled. These days I know small personal electronic devices are everywhere, but I feel that the game room/arcade is a very nice option for families and this was disappointing.

Review 6:The Grand is fantastic for a ski trip with kids...right on the slope, all the amenities, and the heated indoor/outdoor pool and spa area really makes it! Even without kids it's hard to beat the convenience and well thought out plan of the place. The large double sided fireplace is a great spot to hang out. Also this year the new restaurant, Preston's, is wonderful! All the staff is very helpful and friendly. The breakfast that the hotel provides is very nice. The Grand is upscale and first class without feeling fussy. Generally a warm, comfortable yet luxurious atmosphere.

Review 7:Restaurant is closed for renovation.

Review 8:Loved the outdoor pool! Amazing. The off season rates are reasonable and worth the trip! I will definitely be back.

Review 9:Corridor floors were uneven, suggesting remod work needs attention. Calling oneself a resort in other locales usually suggests that activities are included in the price-of-stay. Not here. Everything beyond Killington Grand, though connected, is a la carte, so bring your checkbook... It was our anniversary, and while I noted that in a recent conversation, asking for suggestions to be ready for dining, entertainment, etc...none were. Again...it's an important touch, quickly dispatched in other high-visibility resort locales (Orlando, Vail, NYC...)

Review 10:Certainly the location of the Killington Grand has it over their competition. Bath facilities are quite nice, as is having a basic kitchenette setup available. Staff were friendly enough, but not trained to 5-star concierge level. If the Killington wants to compete head-to-head with Stowe, that's the focus area.

Review 11:We were the only couple checking in. Front desk seem bored and apathetic, not very friendly. Didn't matter to us, but I did notice their attitude.

Review 12:After many days of traveling, having a kitchen was great. There also was a Starbucks next to the check-in desk that had a great variety of foods available.

Review 13:We really enjoyed how much there is to see and do here. The pool is so nice and the fire pit , hot tubs, and excellent outdoor furniture... All very nice. So many nearby restaurants and trails.... Don't miss Deer Leap! Hotel was well decorated for Fall, clean, and all the rooms have kitchenettes and tables in case u get tired of restaurants. The mountain views are beautiful. The carpet is new. The hotel is non smoking so it stays fresh smelling! The front desk staff will explain everything to u. Karly and Alana were exceptionally warm and welcoming, don't miss this fitness room/ it is outstanding! Overall Aplus here

Review 14:Trouble with heat/cooling in room, trouble with TV, ice bucket had big crack and leaked, no TV station lineup in room. First attempt at having heat fixed was unsuccessful. Had to get manager involoved

Review 15:View of mountains.

Review 16:Everything. It was peaceful, beautiful and everything we wanted for a relaxing mini moon away together

Review 17:Beautiful scenery, friendly staff, perfect place to escape

Review 18:It was booking.com who I dealt with before I came to the hotel that was horrible, most ignorant man I ever dealt with and I deal with a lot of customers, he should never answer the phone!

Review 19:The staff and the people at the hotel were amazing - had a great experience

Review 20:Nothing

Review 21:Comfort of our room with seating area and useful kitchen had wonderful view of ski area and small lake from balcony. Swimming in outdoor heated pool an absolute delight even in the rain!

Review 22:I like the fact it was next door to the Killington ski center. I was taking part to the Spartan Beast race and it was just a few steps away. No need to take a car. It gives me more time to rest before the race. The kitchen, spa and pool were a must.

Review 23:This is primarily a winter resort that's going through the motions in the summer. The staff was lukewarm in service and response - surely not up to resort standards.

Review 24:when we checked in , we had a murphy bed..that comes out of the wall, very uncomfortable ..did not request a full kitchen and dining table for 6..they changed our room to accomodate us though to a queen…we had to pay $30. to switch though.

Review 25:gorgeous views and location., nice pool

Review 26:Wi-Fi was terrible. Also would have liked to have a small refrigerator in the room. Housekeeping seemed a little spotty as well. Did not receive new drinking glasses.

Review 27:Ketsup bottles and caps in restaurant were very dirty. Looks like they were never washed. Hard to access pool through gym.

Review 28:Beautiful mountain views. Comfortable rooms. Great pool.Appreciated the large laundry facilities.

Review 29:The young man at the pool/spa was not very pleasant. This is advertised as a family friendly resort. Our group had 5 children, ages 8 , 11, and 3 boys age 12. They had 3 water pistols they brought into the pool and were using. The young man took them away from them when they were playing in the pool. He said someone complained. None of the adults with them saw anything disruptive. I was not there but when I did arrive to the pool I could not believe that toys were taken away. What right did he have to confiscate them? He said they could have them back at the end of our stay. We took them back the next day. Also we have stayed in many hotels with pools and never have I been told I could not bring in an adult beverage of my own. Everyone we spoke with at the pool also felt offended that they were told they could not have their drinks. Those were the only two things that we found upsetting and most of the time at the hotel was spent at the pool so that did mean a lot to us.

Review 30:Loved our one bedroom suite and the view of the mountains and the Beast Coaster. The staff at the front desk were so friendly and accommodating! We asked who delivers pizza and they handed us a menu and told us they deliver right to our room. It was a delicious selection from iPie .Great customer service from staff.

Review 31:The only problem was their smoking policy. For some bizarre reason theirdesignated smoking area was along side the beautiful outdoor pool. Ajerk smoking a cigar, who sat there every morning (not kidding) was areal bother.

Review 32:Everyone who works their is very polite and friendly. Immaculatefacilities.

Review 33:The groceries offered downstairs at the store was way over priced and there was no grocery store near the hotel. Also no room service is available.

Review 34:Staff was friendly and quite helpful. We were part of a wedding party and they accommodated us in a great way. It was nice that most rooms had a kitchenette with dishes.

Review 35:None

Review 36:Beautiful, very comfortable hotel. We visited in the "off season" July so it was not crowded and we had a chance to fully enjoy the place.

Review 37:The toilet was not clean upon arrival. Cleaning person place cleaning rag on wife's makeup and the deposit bottle, which were no where near the trash were removed.

Review 38:Location to the event I attended

Review 39:Having to check out;(

Review 40:The staff at the Killington exemplify the definition of excellentcustomer service! The accommodations were perfect. We had zerocomplaints. It was awesome!

Review 41:The room was a nice size but due to the arrangement of beds u couldn't push the rolling luggage cart into the room. Wifi was spotty! Overall excellent time

Review 42:The first thing I noticed was how clean the place was. They have the cleanest pool I have every been in. The staff were all very polite and friendly. Yannak who worked at the front desk was extremely helpful to us. We will be back.

Review 43:The only issue we had was that where the TV was placed in the room we couldn't lay in bed and watch TV unless we laid at the foot of the bed.

Review 44:The rooms were spacious and room enough to enjoy friends and company with plenty of space to sit

Review 45:Balcony in room. Workout room. Firepit. Sauna & steam room. Bruce at bfast was so nice & informative about area. Breakfast was delicious. Only downside to entire stay was one Entree at dinner wasn't good. Lobster Mac & cheese was bad. Paid because we didn't want to complain. Other than that a great experience!

Review 46:The location, because it is a ski resort and I don't think buildings should be built at that elevation and I don't like what what how ski resorts scar the natural beauty. The meals were for the most part OK, The scrambled eggs at breakfast should have been cooked more too watery, The salad would be better if it had Romaine lettuce instead of the fancier types, use real tomatoes like a beefsteak instead of grape or cherry. The mashed potatoes served at dinner on Tuesday night should not have been served to the public as they were made with red bliss potatoes which should never be served in any form and the kitchen staff need to learn that potatoes are peeled prior to cooking when making mashed potatoes, the mashed potatoes served on Wednesday night were dry. The home fries were again made with red bliss potatoes bad choice use Russet potatoes so that they would have been edible. The chairs in conference center are uncomfortableover

Review 47:The Guest rooms were nice

Review 48:The suites need a renovation. Our room had two double beds but only one had access to the tv and window. That was a big inconvenience. The bed was too soft and the pillows too high! The restaurant in the hotel wasn't good. It took too long for them to serve us, the food wasn't good. And two receptionist at the lobby told us that we had breakfast included but when we went to the restaurant they said it wasn't.

Review 49:We loved the amenities and the staff. Everyone was friendly and accommodating!

Review 50:rooms were not at all sound proof. could hear children running down halls, doors slamming, people talking in rooms next door. Heating unit extremely loud.

Review 51:location. bathrooms.

Review 52:Not as nice as Stowe, but still a pleasant stay.

Review 53:The only Killington hotel that is truly Ski-in, Ski-out. Staff was friendly. Hotel was clean and finishings had been updated within the past several years.

Review 54:We really did not like our dinner at the hotel restaurant (the breakfast buffet was good). It was not very good for the price. Also, it would have been nice to have a small refrigerator in our room.

Review 55:The hotel was beautiful and the beds were very comfortable. Breakfast buffet was very good. We loved being so close to the base lodge; it was very convenient and the staff at the lodge and the hotel were very helpful to my children who were first-time skiers. The healthclub was great and we had a wonderful time in the pool and jacuzzi after skiing and working out.

Review 56:The only complaint I have is that much of the equipment in the fitnessarea was broken or sub par...but it certainly was not a huge problemsince I spent the majority of the day's skiing!

Review 57:The staff is wonderful, the breakfast was delicious, the wholeexperience was fantastic! They really make traveling with kids easyand fun! I'd go back in a heartbeat and highly recommend this toanyone else!

Review 58:The walls are paper thin. You could hear very clearly what was going on in both rooms beside ours. Didn't enjoy that at night or first thing in the morning. Ask for an end room for sure!

Review 59:Excellent staff , very large suite with everything that you could need, fantastic view , lovely location, many restaurant locations close by.

Review 60:Breakfast food was awful (service was excellent), bathroom was not cleaned very well, and bed appeared to have not been changed from previous guest (hair on sheets when I pulled back the covers).

Review 61:For a convenient location, slope-side lodging, this place can't be beat. And, the staff was wonderful.

Review 62:Black flies in the room (window was not open!); bedding was not comfortable; towels were stiff not soft; no Internet available in the room; as a Booking.com customer, I was given the last room at the end of two hallways, and I did not book at the last minute. Felt slighted because I was getting a "deal"

Review 63:Beautiful foliage weekend;

Review 64:my reservation was for a king size bed. Instead we were given a room with a queen size Murphy bed which was hard and uncomfortable and offered no restful sleep.in additionthe room smelled like cooked bacon throughout 3 days stay from a prior tenant overzealous use of the kitchenette. Finally I was treated rudely by the valet.

Review 65:The central location of the hotel was the major feature that attracted us to make a reservation at the Killington Grand Hotel.

Review 66:The walls are pretty thin.....so, we got a screaming play-by-play of the Giants vs Eagles game by a 9 year old until 11pm:(

Review 67:Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Review 68:Worst sleep ever in a hotel , they def have to put new mattresses in , was up all night , I was not very happy in the morning

Review 69:Very clean , and beautiful grounds

Review 70:Had kids staying above us running a track meet. This is a family lodge though so you have to expect some noise!

Review 71:We stayed at the peak of color...it was beautiful. Must take the trip to the top of the peak...view is great. Also see Thundering Falls less than 10 minutes away. Convenient to a lot of little towns to do some antique and gift shopping. We also visited Simon Pearse...great restaurant and glassware. Spa looked great, just didn't have enough time to fit it into this trip. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Review 72:Pool and hot tub both too hot - great temps when snow on ground - not so much in Aug. turn temp down for summer - can then go back up when it snows.

Review 73:Very relaxing

Review 74:Our room had a folding bed, and it was not very comfortable at night. Having said that, it was not too bad.

Review 75:Very beautiful environment, fresh air, nice outside pool, great mountain views from the rooms

Review 76:Every thing. It was my first solo vacation and it was perfect. I didn't stay long enough. I'll be back. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and wonderful. Room couldn't have been better or more comfortable. I loved every minute of being there.

Review 77:Power outage the second night of our stay. There did not seem to be a communication plan from the hotel staff to guests. There was very limited emergency light in the stairwells that made it dangerous to navigate up or down the stairs.

Review 78:The view from the room was breathe taking.

Review 79:I didn't know the Queen Suite only had a Murphy bed. If I had I probably would have upgraded. My fault for not researching further. The room was a bit cramped with the bed folded down. There is no deck with the Queen Suite room, just a window.

Review 80:There was plenty to do although the Summer is the off-season. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. The location was beautiful and the pool and hot tubs were very relaxing. We had a Queen Suite which had a refrigerator and kitchen with dishes.

Review 81:My only complaint was there was no menu for the pool area . I would have liked some lunch or appetizer options that could be ordered out to the pool

Review 82:I loved the pool. It was warm and only Four feet deep which is great for young swimmers . The staff was friendly and helpful!

Review 83:Roads around hotel were in rough shape but I guess that happens with the frost upheavals. We were a bit early in the season so some restaurants weren't open yet.

Review 84:The location was tremendous; right at the foot of Killington. The staff, starting from Chris, the valet and bell man who was not only very friendly but called a restaurant for us. But Jazmin at the front desk was over and above great. Food was very good and they had a Starbucks in lobby with other goods in it.

Review 85:Housekeeping was sub par at best. Housekeepers' hair on the top sheets, desk and tv stand. Stayed 2 nights and had to chase down fresh towels/wash towels each day. Front desk was very helpful getting beds sheets replaced.

Review 86:Nice facility and location

Review 87:We had a room on the parking lot side room had a small window before we changed to the ski slope side.

Review 88:Beautiful room with balcony on the ski slope side. Room was spacious nice bathroom, comfortable beds. Great staff recommendations for places to eat. Gift shop had nice selection of things to grab and go. Bar had nice variety of craft beers.

Review 89:The bed mattresses were not very comfortable

Review 90:Would have been wonderful if steam room had eucalyptus steam

Review 91:Location and new restaurant

Review 92:small suite had a Murphy bed . Not mentioned at time of booking.

Review 93:Some of the hotel had been updated, Heated outdoor pool

Review 94:Far too expensive for what you get, should be half the cost.

Review 95:Very comfortable place to stay, enjoyed it.

Review 96:The Killington Grand is now part of those priceless family memories.

Review 97:great staff

Review 98:Somewhat pricy

Review 99:Loved the pool and hot tub

Review 100:Cost

Review 101:Spacious room with kitchen. Location and view

Review 102:On third floor there is very little soundproofing between rooms. The tv next door was loud in our room.

Review 113:The Mountain View The hiking trail. It's make me feel right at home

Review 114:Long hike to elevator from each wing

Review 115:Great location. Views were great. Staff could not have been more helpful and pleasant .

Review 116:Having a fully stocked kitchen came in handy. The surrounding area is beautiful, very friendly people. The pool is also amazing!

Review 117:@ 56 years old a drop down bed is NOT comfortable plus you couldn't watch TV in bed, it was along side the bed

Review 118:Noise from next room
