Reviews for City Park Motel and Apartments
Review 1:I was staying while undergoing a procedure at the nearby Endoscopy Clinic. The location & support couldn't have been better. I also slept very well.
Review 2:Could do with an update. Not enough room between bed and wall on one side. Just didn't impress me at all.
Review 3:Very basic but clean. Okay for one night.
Review 4:Large room size, very comfortable, very friendly staff. Decor is a little dated, but I liked the layout with rooms facing an internal garden so no traffic noise. I would stay again.
Review 5:Front desk manager was very rude at each interaction. Treated our family as if he was doing us a huge favour to stay at this outdated motel. Would not recommend. Much better options available for the price in Wagga.
Review 6:It is not for your luxury traveller - it is old and run down but it is clean with air con and a hot shower. Walking distance to the main street. Easy booking, check-in, check-out.
Review 7:It was comfortable with enough space for 3 adults and a small dog. Kitchen facilities were convenient (but not the best quality), great location, quiet units. It suited us well for one night and at $139 I think the value was fair for a country town. I picked it as I was travelling with a dog and I was allowed it in the room if it did not disturb other guests and stayed off the furniture- which suited me.
Review 8:The room was in bad condition (cracked tiles, mold on the bathroom ceiling) just to name a couple of things.
Review 9:The staff were very friendly with great customer service.
Review 10:Cleanliness. Toilets not cleaned, very old dated bathroom and kitchen in apartment requiring urgently total cleaning. Initially looked tidy and clean, yet with a closer look and daylight was not acceptable. Please spring clean the place, wash the bathroom tiles down etc...
Review 11:Location, staff was friendly
Review 12:It's very close to the railway line. If you were a light sleeper it might be a bit of a problem.
Review 13:Close to the centre of town for restaurants and the cooked breakfast was good value
Review 14:The staff were absolutely lovely. Thank you for making myself and my four students feel so welcome and for the words of encouragement for our chess final we played while in Wagga Wagga against Deniliquin.
Review 15:We paid $149 which was taken out of our account 4 months prior to visit. We stayed in one of the 'apartments' which was disgusting. Very old building, dirty cooking facilities, hard bed, cramped bathroom, lights that didn't work, curtains that didn't cover the Windows, leaking shower head, drawers that wouldn't open, no plug for sink. Use of Bunnings trolley for transporting clean linen says it all. $80 per night would have been too much. We reported most of this to management but no apology was received.
Review 16:Nothing at all.
Review 17:The room was small. It was expensive for what you got, a budget hotel should be cheaper than this.
Review 18:The location was good, we could walk to restaurants.
Review 19:was expecting a futon and received a mattress for the floor. There was no room to lay the mattress down, so had to lay under the bench. Made it a little uncomfortable.
Review 20:location was great. venue was very clean
Review 21:This is the worst motel I have ever stayed in. Very very very disappointing. Accessing this motel is very difficult off Tarcutta street as it has traffic islands blocking the entry and a u-turn is required to enter the property if you are heading north on Tarcutta street. I payed upfront on arrival for my planned 5 days. Unfortunately after my first night I attempted to change my booking to 4 nights. I approached staff on the afternoon of my 2nd night. I had to leave due to work commitments changing. Staff said they were happy to change my booking to 4 nights but would not refund the additional nights charge. Booking.com have said they would not have charged for the 5th night but they can not force this motel to refund me as it is an in-house policy held by city park motel. It is very disappointing that I payed upfront and management lets greed over shadow customer service.
Review 22:Nothing. I would not recommend this place.
Review 23:the room was too "full" and had to put belongings on one side of the bed during the day. Although toilet was clean, it was old....
Review 24:The owner was nice
Review 25:The room was comfortable and functional and nice and warm when I arrived. There was plenty of space for my belongings. The bathroom was good and had a great shower. I enjoyed the nice thick towels. I really appreciated the biscuits in the room when I arrived late at night
Review 26:The trains. People banging doors everytime they went in to or out of their rooms.
Review 27:The value for money. Polite staff right down to the cleaning staff. Soft fresh smelling linen and towels. And privacy.
Review 28:Didn't get password for wifi (didn't ask ) No information found in rooms regarding the motel or surrounding restaurants ect
Review 29:Friendly staff, full kitchen, great amount of space and beds available
Review 30:A/C only just kept us warm (July in Wagga is pretty cold)
Review 31:Dedicated, numbered car parking space right outside the door, and covered too. Microwave supplied (not expected).
Review 32:Very disappointed with room, said we needed the 1 rm for 4 adults as we had all over austrailia... Got in room to find extremely small room with queen and a twin with a twin mattres standing in corner of room with sheets and a blanket in a pile beside it ... Couldn't put bed down till everyone else in bed as it blocked bathroom... Put sheets on it crawled in only to find the sheets were damp! The heater didn't work well and forget about getting WiFi in room as advertised
Review 33:For the short period I was there, everything was good so no negatives to report
Review 34:The room was clean and comfortable and large enough for my needs. The staff called me prior to check in to ensure someone would be on site when I arrived. I was travelling with a dog which was not a problem
Review 35:I went to use a glass from the cupboard but it was sticky. Gross.
Review 36:The heating and electric blanket made for a cosy night. There were lots of power points to choose from in order charge my phone and ipod.
Review 37:No WiFi, both TV's didn't work, parking was hard to depart from (apartment D), apartment smelt of cigarette smoke.
Review 38:Close to town, warm, good little kitchen.
Review 39:Our room was small and reminiscent of the 1980s. Inconsiderate guest's 4am arrival accentuated by poor sound deadening and old wall unit air conditioners.
Review 40:The staff were friendly and accommodating, the room was clean.
Review 41:They charged me twice. Once online when I booked and once when I checked in. For that reason - I condemn them. I had booked 8 different hotels - some paid in advance, some to be paid at check-in. The lady asked me when I checked-in if I had already paid. I said very clearly "I don't know". So she took my card and charged me - assuming that I had not already paid. She should have checked because later on when I checked I had already paid. Did they follow up with a refund? No - that I would have to chase, and I can't be bothered.
Review 42:We paid for a family room and my son stayed in a double room next door which was the same size. We got a room with a double bed, a single bed and a mattress which we had nowhere to put as the room was too small.
Review 43:Very clean and friendly motel.
Review 44:Bed was very firm and I suffered bites during the night. TV reception was pretty dismal.
Review 45:Great shower! Clean and has the basic facilities you'd expect from a hotel including kettle, crockery, glasses, tea/coffee/milk, fridge, iron and ironing board.
Review 46:Wi-fi didn't seem to be working in my room but not a major issue for me as I had taken advantage of free wi-fi in Canberra before coming and was out and about for most of the time.
Review 47:Friendly staff, adequate space and storage space, value for money, comfortable bedding.
Review 48:there was nothing i didn't like here
Review 49:the staff was very friendly and helpful.. The room was clean and comfortable and there was nice gardens etc.. close to everything
Review 50:Neighbours smoke coming through the front windows first thing in the morning... Should have No smoking areas outside rooms.
Review 51:Great little hotel, comfortable and affordable. Definitely will stay here next time I'm in Wagga
Review 52:I feel I was scammed, the pictures on the website showed a lovely fresh "family apartment" instead we were shoved in a ONE BEDROOM MOTEL ROOM. 2 adults and 2 children in there was impossible. nowhere to sit for meals etc, we had to climb all over each other and lay all over the bed to watch television. SHAME I FEEL SCAMMED.\
Review 53:position of motel was good and close to town and shopping.
Review 54:Was old and tired Small single room Smells musty Lumpy bed Fourth bed was just a mattress on the floor which blocked the entire room
Review 55:Bathroom was clean
Review 56:I liked the fact all rooms were ground floor. (no stairs) but I was mostly impressed by the lady at reception. Being greeted with her friendly smile and good old fashioned courtesy was very much appreciated.
Review 57:There were more features than we expected and as a result the tariff represented very good value. Location was central for our visit and we walked to the shops. Very clean and tidy. We would call again if in Wagga Wagga.
Review 58:Rachel was wonderful! Helping with information from the very first phone call and also after we got there. We were within walking distance to the main shops and restaurants. The Apartments were roomy, clean, comfortable and quiet. I will definately recommend this accomodation to my friends and family. Thanks again Rachel!
Review 59:Nothing seemed to work. To get hot water you have to let it run for about 5 minutes. The TV only had 1 channel when it worked. The phone didn't work. No Wifi.
Review 60:The staff were very nice and helpful.
Review 61:Just too far from city centre to walk. Small but this is a budget motel.
Review 62:Good location close to city - good for taxi pick up. Budget motel but showing age, well maintained levels of cleanliness, good beds and spotless bedding. Reasonable rates.
Review 63:Didn't realise the window was open and had smokers next door puffing away outside the window and all the smoke coming in the room. Also very noisy neighbours, having showers at 1am and banging doors.
Review 64:Location was great. A short walk to town for a mature couple. Receptionist was very helpful and room was comfortable and clean.
Review 65:Train tracks were close by, though in fairness it wasn't very loud and they only ran 3-4 times during the day (we didn't even notice at night) so it wasn't disruptive.
Review 66:Very central, microwave in the room that wasn't advertised was a bonus, staff were very helpful.
Review 67:The location is close to the train lines and is quite noisy. The shower backed up as soon as you turned it on, so you end up standing in a pool of water. The wifi is patchy at best. My room was listed as a "family" room, yet contained a queen size bed, two bedside tables, and a single narrow cupboard. Good luck fitting a family in there.
Review 68:Convenient location, a short walk to Baylis St (main street).
Review 69:Car noise outside door. Plumbing noises from adjoining room... tap rattle when basin used next door. I did not like the fact that Booking.com displayed message "1 room left" prior to my booking and then continually after I made a booking. Feeling a little conned by Booking.com. Motel staff did not know how that could happen. I think I do: Marketing technique by Booking.com to make punters feel the need to stop looking at other options before making a booking in case only the other option left is a tent in the park.
Review 70:Easy access to rooms with car parked right outside. Basic design with good quality interior and it was clean. Loved it that they still offered soap, shampoo, biscuits, tea and coffee packs.
Review 71:bit to far from main shops both have knee problems so the walk to the main shops was to far
Review 72:the staff were friendly and so much help and the room was comfortable
Review 73:Nothing.
Review 74:Great price, generous sized rooms, large shower with great water pressure, wide allocated car spots so parking right outside your room is guaranteed, very, very clean. The rooms are spotless and serviced daily, they don't miss a thing. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Highly recommended and I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Wagga.
Review 75:Family room was cramped. An average sized room with bunk beds and a double bed too small for a family with kids 12yrs+ no pool or other facilities.
Review 76:WiFi
Review 77:We sleep in hotels about 75 times per year and this was just about the worst room we've had...thought this was a 1950's room. Terribly disappointing, hygienicly defficient, freezing and much too expensive. Never again!
Review 78:Nothing
Review 79:Bathrooms are basic.
Review 80:Good all round location , convienence and service and average facilities. Old building average for age.Top end of money for budget motel.
