Reviews for Summit Lodge - Killington

Review 1:The top bed sheet was ripped and looked old, and there were potato chips on the floor at the corner of the bed that had not been cleaned up from the last guest, and the tub in our room wasn't draining when we took our showers.

Review 2:I found it quit and relaxing, and was close to Killington, where we were doing a Spartan Race.

Review 3:The only negatives are that some areas could use some updating. LIke the lighting throughout the place and the game room. In some ways the "retro-ness" of the place makes it homey where you are not afraid to put your feet up.

Review 4:The Summit is spacious with plenty of areas to chill or curl up in a corner after skiing. there is a ginormous hot tub, sauna & year round pool. Included Breakfast is Wonderful. The Staff is down to earth and friendly. The location is convenient to killington and restaurants. Free WIFI. Would go back

Review 5:The temperature of the room was very uncomfortable; even after turning the thermostat as low as possible, it remained around 75 degrees in the room. Also, there was an unusual odor throughout the lodge. Not sure if it was related to cleaning supplies, but I did not find it pleasant.

Review 6:Wife was not reliable. Rooms need a little updating, but didn't spend much time in room anyway.

Review 7:Cosy lodge. Communal. Kids disappeared for hours at a time (9 and 11). Will return.

Review 8:I wish they had a comforter with a duvet covering on the bed rather than a bedspread/quilt.

Review 9:Price Amenities, bar, restaurant(food was very good) excellent location, clean, friendly staff, Excellent free breakfast large common room with huge stone fireplace. 2 big St. Bernard dogs in the lobby gave it a special touch.

Review 10:We loved everything about this place. It's very unique, full of nicest people, staff is amazing, food is incredible, rooms are extremely clean, great location with wonderful views and close to all restaurants and ski slopes. Great for romantic gateway and family vacation, kids have plenty to do in this hotel and while they are busy having fun you can have a dinner or drink at the bar downstairs. The lobby with a fireplace is an amazingly relaxing spot to hang out.

Review 11:Would like to see better outlets in the rooms as well as some updating of the bedrooms.

Review 12:I really liked the common room with the fireplace and table. We spent a lot of our time in front of the fire reading or playing games.

Review 13:Bedrooms are in serious need of renovation and housekeeping needs attention. We found crackers and pretzels behind our bed and night stand. Turn off, for sure.

Review 14:Location was wonderful, staff was friendly, it was very comfortable and felt warm and homey.

Review 15:The mattresses were creaky and the room was very old-fashioned. Could use a sprucing up.

Review 16:Loved the ambiance and the 2 St. Bernards and a pug were there to greet us! The room was clean and the view from it was gorgeous!

Review 17:The dogs were such a joy!!! The ambiance of the lodge is wonderful and the grounds are beautiful. We're already planning a return trip. The walk out deck was an unexpected pleasure, and a wonderful spot to look out at the mountains and watch the sun rise. It was money well spent.

Review 18:Pool , sauna and hot tub need major updates

Review 19:friendly stuff, very good breakfast, very accommodating , plenty of amneneties

Review 20:Homey atmosphere.

Review 21:This may have just been my room but the mattresses were not the greatest.

Review 22:Great location. Great property and I love the St Bernards and the Staff.

Review 23:Beautiful location, great staff and a wonderful facility.

Review 24:Place is in dire need of renovation.

Review 25:Friendly staff, comfortable setting, great food, and clean functioning facilities.

Review 26:Skiing

Review 27:Hot tub and heated pool

Review 28:Good people. Great ski atmosphere. Friendly and professional Outstanding breakfast Just what you would expel from Vermont

Review 29:No sound isolation at all

Review 30:Good location Good value

Review 31:Not on a summit. Too expensive. Room small.

Review 32:The bathroom sink was clogged

Review 33:Breakfast not included.

Review 34:Saint Bernards were a great bonus!

Review 35:The rooms are a bit rustic.

Review 36:The ambience offers a quintessential New England experience. The staff is dedicated, honest, friendly, and wonderful. It's proximity to the Killington resort is ideal. Having hot coffee in the morning sitting by the fire or enjoying a drink in the evening sitting by the fire creates memories that draw you back your after year. I am a little afraid to praise it too much as I am afraid it might become overrun. But, it truly is a unique place to stay. Kudos to the staff.

Review 37:Though the hotel has plenty of charm and charcter, it is not the most comfortble place to sleep, though it is not the worst place I've slept at. The biggest cons my husband and I had was for the shower (the water pressure was almost none) and the mattress. The lodge could use a serious update to the rooms, but the charm, character and hospitality definitely outweighed the poor water pressure and mattress.

Review 38:I loved the atmosphere. it had a homey lodge feel to it. As soon as we entered and checked in, we went right to the large fire place and sat for awhile until we decided to go to the large Jacuzzi and heated pool. The large St. Bernard's (Rachel and Teddy) and the larger than life French Bulldog Astro made our stay even better. The lodge bar and restaurant were excellent and the breakfast that was served was delicious. If you want a cozy and warm place to stay that has plenty of personality and charm, the Summit Lodge is for you.

Review 39:The facilities are quite dated and the mattress wasn't great.

Review 40:Excellent location, you don't have to leave the hotel for anything, the bar had excellent entertainment and the food in the restaurant was very good.

Review 41:Very small rooms in very bad state.Windows wouldn't open.Locks broken.Dirtystained carpets.Whole place needs to be refurbished and redecorated.Owners large dogs have run of the hotel and go anywhere. Vastly overpriced for what it is. Don't stay there.

Review 42:Situation

Review 43:I know it's supposed to be rustic, but it could use a little freshening here and there. Some of the metal fixtures in our bathroom were old and had some corrosion on them.

Review 44:The grounds were beautiful, nicely-landscaped. Staff was very helpful. Breakfast was excellent. The canine mascots were a nice touch.

Review 45:the arcade needs to be updated with working games; also the shuffle board sticks were mostly hard to control the disks

Review 46:loved the pool, well maintained; games were fun; the rustic atmosphere perfect for my 50's 60's taste. excellent hot whirlpool

Review 47:We really felt like we stayed with family as the staff went out of their way to be accomodating. Loved the location. I'm a Vermonter, so I was home and there with my daughter Kristen Kopp & Husband Art. Loved the dogs/breakfasts and grounds and good staff. Faye Haering

Review 48:Small/out-dated bathroom. Tired bed linens and scratchy bath towels.

Review 49:Very friendly and helpful staff. Good vibe overall with nice common areas. Super convenient to skiing and restaurants/nightlife. Hot tub and outdoor heated pool.

Review 52:Hot tub, heated pool, breakfast, pub, close to slopes

Review 53:Breakfast should be included for the price

Review 55:We enjoyed the Saint Bernards, the real fireplaces, and charm
