Reviews for Macakizi Hotel

Review 1:It's hard to criticise anything. Understated design chic wrapped up in beautiful gardens. Amazing staff .. Attentive but laid back and friendly. It's not cheap but I wasn't expecting it to be. Went out of season so perfect temps and amount of guests. Good food. For a lazy holiday by the med couldn't ask for more.

Review 2:blocked rain head showers, not giving enough water not enough light at the room door entry management are aware of the above and stated bthey are working on these items

Review 3:convenient location, walk to village during day or night time for variety of restaurants, shops and activities Fresh , good quality food, excellent restaurant Best of all plenty staff, prompt service, staff is very friendly

Review 4:No Wifi at the Gym / Very bad Wifi in the rooms

Review 5:The food was excellent / tanning area excellent / water was excellent / breakfast excelent

Review 6:they give you a card when you check in and say you don't need any cash. then when you check out they give you an insane bill! total rip off. we stayed for 4 nights - 3 people in a room - our bill came to 1000 euros each of extras and we had breakfast and one other meal included! this was pretty much all drinks and one dinner. crazy. you never see a bill then you are shocked the end. everyone was arguing upon checkout it seemed. every day at the hotel there is a happy hour but don't be deceived the drinks are not discounted at all.

Review 7:location

Review 8:There were three snags - which won't bother many but might bother some. The hotel is spead amongst numerous buildings on a very steep slope. Signage is almost non-existent and there are many steps, some unlit. This might be a problem for some. The nearby village, and to some extent the hotel itself, is very popular with rich young adults. The hotel itself therefore plays loud music in the early evening, and a horrendously loud disco in the village can be clearly heard from late evening until well after 3am - though not every night. Light sleepers beware! The food in the restaurant is exceptionally good but the wine list is very expensive ideed and left us feeling rather 'ripped off' when we compared it with other restaurants in the area.

Review 9:This hotel lovely rooms with geat views - and world class cooking - in an amazingly beautiful location.

Review 10:The staff at the reception were not informative enough about the facilities and services of the hotel .the rooms are not equipped with the guest needs as in 5 star hotels.you need to ask for the simplest needs.the smell of mildew was so bad in the room that it effected our sleep.the glass door of the shower was so heavy and not practical as it was shared with the toilet area.the long curtains were also not practical as I stumbled and fell at night getting to bed.the space is so limited that there was no drawers or enough shelves in the room for our personal stuff The deck area gets too crowded at the weekend that the guest cannot enjoy the area comfortably.

Review 11:The general atmosphere is warm and friendly.some of the staff at the deck were hospitable and veryhelpful.the landscape of the hotel is beautiful.the restaurants are very nice.

Review 12:Restaurant food is not that impressive, I also expected more from breakfast Wifi was not good in the rooms

Review 13:Beach is amazing Perfect for a long weekend getaway, done even need to leave the property

Review 14:The only thing would have to the pillows. They were too soft. Also could potentially have more meat at breakfast- maybe salmon or some ham.

Review 15:Early May get away in the sun in macakizi proved to exceed expectations. Service was impeccable, the food all round was fabulous, great wine list, massages at the spa were fantastic - perfect quiet get away with some elegance. hotel was very quiet as they had just opened for the season but can imagine it turns into a fab party scene in the summer.

Review 16:the (external to the hotel) disco located on the beach with an ultra loud sound lasting until 2 to 3 oclock in the morning making difficult to sleep in the hotel even with boules Quies in the intermediate and upper rooms. The hotel knows it is a main issue but they are unable to fix it as the owner of the disco is unmoved by remarks. After 3 sleepless nigths we move to a lower room more protected from the sound. All the rooms have only king size bed. they offer you to use the sofa to prepare a separated bed but it is not at all comfortable compared with the bed. So you are in trouble if you are not a couple which was the case for our two boys 18 and 20. Lastly the lower garden rooms have no proper bath room separated by a wall from the rooms which is not convenient.

Review 17:the best is the attention paid to environment (houses engulfed in a variety of vegetation) and design (every piece of architecture, of furniture is well thought and coming from top trendy turkish designers) the locations of the breakfast area with a beautifiul view on the sea and boats, of the diner area and also of the sea with a wooden ponton the food at the restaurant is excellent

Review 18:The bathroom disposition lacks privacy and its amenities are scarce for a hotel of its level, even understanding that the focus at the hotel is inviting guests to enjoy the outside.

Review 19:The property and its location are awesome; architecture and ambiance are posh but not pretentious. Staff is corteous, knowleadgeable and menu and food excelent. The hamman could not be more beautiful...

Review 20:The stairs from the rooms o the beach are long and tiring. I recommend booking sea front rooms to avoid the stairs. The music from neighboring bars ar night.

Review 21:The guest relations officer Omer was very helpful in planning our stay and the places to visit making sure that we got the most out of our trip. They have the best beach in bodrum. The food was superb, the best buffet breakfast. Lunch on the deck or buffet is also excellent. The hotel also arranged a gullet boat trip which we enjoyed. We also enjoyed the outdoor massage at the hotel spa. The staff speaks fluent english and will help you in anything you need.

Review 22:It was expensive, particularly food and drink.

Review 23:The food, the pontoon by the water and the staff.

Review 24:Loved resort,greenery,layout,beach,atmospher,food...literally everything.enjoyed to the maximum n have great memories.
