Reviews for Dusit Princess Korat Hotel
Review 1:Air con could have worked better, and fan in bathroom not working
Review 2:Friendly staff, welcome drink and all staff went out of there way to help, very nice room well appointed and comfortable
Review 3:there were mosquitoes in the room
Review 4:The hotel itself was amazing and specially for the price we paid. It was very clean and comfortable and staff were super friendly and helpful.
Review 5:Nothing. Though the pool being sited in full view of the breakfast room/restaurant is a bit off putting if you like a swim or a lounge in the sun.
Review 6:The staff are all extremely friendly, attentive and obviously well trained. Excellent breakfast. Upgraded to large suite which was much appreciated.
Review 7:Staff were very friendly and efficient. Cake shop was great. We were only people in restaurant for evening meal and all food was cooked fresh. Steak meal was a small portion but thai meal was good. Bar staff very good.
Review 8:Our room was just under the roof and the air conditioning system was just a nightmare... Noise (sometime pretty loud and vibration!!!). I won't recommend the top floor for sure.
Review 9:Only double bed rooms were smoking and the room smelt bad I was offered a non smoking twin but I would not have booked had I known
Review 10:Staff friendliness excellent breakfast although hot items were a bit cold
Review 11:We booked a double bed through booking.com but were given a twin room and told we should have notified the hotel directly. Also, the restaurant had a 15% off promotion but didn't give it to us as we didn't present the in room voucher even though the bill was charged to the room.
Review 12:The staff were friendly and the rooms were professionally cleaned which was at the high standard of our previous visit and why we returned.
Review 13:The service in the restaurant during our diner was not as expected, a long waiting time and meals for two not served at the same time.
Review 14:Really value for money. Just top! If we would come back, we choose this hotel again....
Review 15:noise at night from the old heat pump or air conditioner, wasn't sure,,,
Review 16:relaxing hotel , nothing to made you feeling stress or need to be up date,,
Review 17:Parking limited and dark, not really safe.Fitness is tiny(As for a 2/3* hotel) a small room size.Hotel owner should invest in a decent size.
Review 18:Reception and bartender staffs are kind and professional.
Review 19:I thought the bar prices were a little high once the service charge and vat had been added.
Review 20:The service and staff were outstanding. They were very helpful and very friendly.
Review 21:1. My reservation wasn't in their system, so it was difficult to sort out. 2. No elevator to the ground level, making it really tough for anyone with limited mobility.
Review 22:Beautiful Property, plenty of parking, excellent selection for breakfast. The room is comfortable and clean, good wifi, good TV selection, even some complimentary fruit on arrival. The bell staff excelled, parking my car - saving me a grueling walk back up to the entrance.
Review 23:To leave...
Review 24:All is perfect, the helpful staff, the clean and pretty rooms, the service and the lobby, the somptuos breakfast. One of the best accomodation for quality for a true low rate we have ever found in 25 years of trips around the world.
Review 25:Some issues with the room - small maintainance problems but to be fair the staff had these sorted out very quiickly
Review 26:The hotel is situated a little far from the centre of the city but it is a superb-looking place with very good facilities. Breakfast is VERY good, appetising and varied, served by attentive staff. Room service is also excellent and on the one night that we used the restaurant we found it to be similarly well-staffed and with good food at a reasonable price
Review 27:We were put in a room with connecting door to another room so we were disturbed by the noise that the neighbor made at night. We could also hear traffic sound through the windows.
Review 28:The swimming pool felt more like a token facility though I think the hotel didn't expect us to use it as it was January and it's cold in Korat at that time of the year.
Review 29:Comfortable hotel with all the essentials. A good stepping point to tourist attractions nearby such as Jim Thompson farm - meaning no hurried drive from Bangkok. Breakfast had some interesting local dishes such as "pan egg" and some fried dough with pandana custard.
Review 30:No tea/coffee facility in room, not good for 4 star hotel. We asked about breakfast - 329 Baht! Only stayed one night then moved to Sima Thani Hotel where we stayed previously with breakfast included at similar room price.
Review 31:Not much.
Review 32:Breakfast buffet is overrun and understaffed. 1 person trying to cope in provide all varieties of eggs and soup is clearly not working. Where is the management ? The rooms seem to have been re-vamped a bit, although the bathrooms that are in need of refurbishment are still not done.
Review 33:Clean rooms, good location, free parking, very friendly staff.
Review 34:Nothing.
Review 35:I have stayed at several hotels in Korat and in my opinion this is the best quality hotel. It is a little bit out of the centre of Korat compared to the other hotels I have stayed at but as I have a car this was not an issue. There is a good reasonably sized Market very close to the hotel and I believe that this is on most, if not every night of the week. Hotel staff very good and a nice bar and small but perfectly usable Gym. Didn’t eat in hotel so can’t comment on Restaurant or food. Will definitely stay at this Hotel when we return to Korat.
Review 36:The buffet food tastes poorly and is really expensive with very limited and cold/stale choices. Don't get the buffet.
Review 37:The staff were so accommodating and kind, and went completely out of their way to help us check in early after an all night bus as well as aid me in sending in my Masters applications. Wonderful people.
Review 38:The air condition system in our room did not work properly. It was not possible to adjust the temperature. The system was on or off. There was no other choice. We mentioned this to the staff and they promised to look into it, but the problem was not fixed (even though we stayed 3 nights). When we arrived there were not enough coat-hangers in the closet. We asked for more coat-hangers, and they were delivered quickly. There was a hair-dryer in the room, but it did not work. We mentioned this to the staff and another one was delivered quickly. In the bathroom there is a bathtub with a shower. The shower head is fixed on the wall. This set-up is old-fashioned and unfortunate. It is more convenient to have a hand-held shower. The switch between tap and shower is unfortunate. In order to turn on the shower you must have high water pressure. The switch should work anytime. It should not depend on the level of water pressure.
Review 39:This hotel has a good location in the northeast corner of the city. We have stayed there several times, but each time only for one night. This time we stayed for 3 nights. We had a room on the fifth floor facing the car park in front of the hotel. The room was nice and spacious. There is a safe in the room. There is a television set and a minibar. In the lobby you can find the Thai language newspaper Thai Rath and the English language newspaper The Nation. The staff were friendly and helpful. There was a form in the room where you can offer feedback to the hotel manager. I suggested that it should be possible to offer feedback via the internet, and they promised that I would have the chance to do this. This promise was not broken: the day after we left, the hotel sent an email with a link for feedback via the internet.
Review 40:The room price was expensive compared to its value. Old bath tub, dirty and old shower curtain.
Review 41:There was not chaotic. Close to food shops. Close to bus stops. Quick check in and check out.
Review 42:At breakfast the burners under the hot food items would go out long before the end of breakfast. Breakfast ended at 10.0am and if you came down later than about 9.0am the hot food was cold. Otherwise ok.
Review 43:Great outdoor pool. Good gymn. Very nice hotel bar with live music in the evening. Very good choice of breakfast items. Breakfast very reasonable price as part of room deal. A very clean well run smart hotel.
Review 44:We were given no option on breakfast with booking.com. So on the day breakfast was expensive. we refuse and eat outside.
Review 45:The Dusit Princess in my opinion is very good. Rooms are very clean, Wi Fi good and free.
Review 46:Full of breakfast
Review 47:staff always friendly and helpful comfortable place to stay
Review 48:Must have swimming pool for children
Review 49:None
Review 50:It is a good place and breakfast meal
Review 51:Nothing
Review 52:Excellent location. Spacious and newly renovated.
Review 53:The Location was just excellent there was enough car parking available, even there was a Wedding the staff give us priority for car park
Review 54:Excellent staff
Review 55:Location not ideal. Quite isolated. Not easy to find transportations. Have to rely on hotels to call and it takes good 20 minutes for taxi to come.
Review 56:Very nice and clean room with nice bar area to eat some food. Also nice swimming pool outside and relaxing
Review 57:This is an older hotel but well cared for with good beds, good food, and very clean.
Review 58:No complaints

Review 71:Noise View from the room
Review 72:Staffs Night bazaar at walking distance
Review 73:Location and cleanliness
Review 74:We booked 1 room with extra bed for a10 year old boy. They forgot. He had to sleep with a friend in another room.
Review 75:Dated rooms, in particular the bathrooms which really need to be renovated from scratch
Review 76:comfortable bedding, good wifi, nice lobby
Review 77:standard room is dead and smelly.
Review 78:great standard service
Review 79:That the pool was out of commission.
Review 80:Everybody so courteous polite and very helpful,

Review 83:All good
Review 84:Utterly respectful
Review 85:prices for drinks in the bar are outrageously high
Review 86:breakfast is excellent
Review 87:Had to leave.
Review 88:The staff is great and very helpful. Good food. Very clean.
Review 89:staff was very helpful, worth the price, very recommended, food was great
Review 90:Room is superb clean, tip top condition.great pool.thumb up breakfast.definitely a good place to relax after full day outing.
Review 91:Rooms were comfortable , close to night market , nice clean room .plenty of car parking , swimming pool was great .
Review 92:* Quality/Price * Staff friendliness * Broadcasting World Cup Matches during the night on big screen
Review 93:Constant noise of hammering and drilling during each day. Pool water quality not good Dangerous stairs and low rail from gym to pool
Review 94:Wifi easy to use
Review 95:The air conditioning needs replacing as we had the inconvenience of changing the room due to the defect of the aircon.
Review 96:Comfortable bed, clean and modern. Friendly staff.
Review 97:Poor air condition In room No.817 I had to sleep without covers because it was to warm, the thermostat did not change the temperature in the room.
Review 98:I thought the staff where polite and helpful.
Review 99:Our usual overnight in Korat is the considerably (about 35%) cheaper Hermitage. This trip I was really tired after 7 hours in holiday traffic, and I didn't want to deal with issues like waiting half an hour for a very sulky housekeeping department to find the key to the room where the toilet paper was stored. (We've had about one problem per three stays at the Hermitage, but that felt like too much.) The Dusit Princess is a tribute to the Dusit Thani chain's management systems. It's not new, but everything was meticulously maintained (okay, I couldn't close the drain in the bathroom sink, and had to shave with the water running), and the staff was super-attentive, friendly and totally capable. The bed was good, but not as good as the Hermitage, where the mattresses are the best part of the whole operation. The location is great if you're driving down from the Northeast, and not awful if you mean to walk around. It's nowhere near the center of town, though. The B290 breakfast buffet would have been a poor bargain if it hadn't been for the really good coffee. As seems to be the case with most hotels in the provinces (but shouldn't be with this chain) the Ethernet Internet access was via an inadequately secure (according to my browser) portal. I didn't bother to try the WiFi: if your phone has tethering or a portable hotspot, it's almost certain to be faster and less hassle than a hotel system.
Review 100:We had asked for a quiet room, we were assigned the very first room next to the road No fan in bathroom Temperature control didn't work: real cold! Very weak wifi signal when it condescends to work
Review 101:Efficiency of the staff Quality/price of buffet dinner Comfort of room despite obsolete bathroom Location
Review 102:1) Superb staff was the friendliest we have experienced in Thailand.....and that says a lot! They really made us feel at home. 2) Wonderful nightly market just down the street. We extended our stay just to have another shot at the great foods we found there.
Review 103:unfortunatly our toilet-flush was not working.
Review 104:super Hotel for Citytrip very fast and efficiant solution (even at 3am!!!) to upgrade our room to the only available, the presidential suite!!!!
Review 105:Food and drinks are very expensive for Thailand I always wonder why hotels with already high prices always have to add another 10% service charge and 7% VAT, while normal businesses don't do that.
Review 106:Very comfortable and spacious room. Nice loungy bar with live music. Very friendly and welcoming staff
Review 107:Didn't like the fact the hotel had no balcony in the room.
Review 108:Staff was excellent. The hotel is very clean. The breakfast was excellent...had something for everyone.
Review 109:To protect from the noise of the high frequented road, the windowsare too old
Review 110:Stuff is very friendly, but it was not so easy to communicate with, because almost nobody speaks english
Review 113:Great breakfast, friendly staff, and nice location. Also English tv channels. The bed was comfortable. It was well worth paying the extra to stay at this hotel as I have experienced some rather grim hotels before in the same city.
Review 114:The room we booked was a large double bed we was given two single beds and told that was all they had the room was small and old and the windows was locked shut
Review 115:Bathroom out of time. Need a renovation. Ceeling in bathroom very dirty.
Review 116:Staff very friendly. Food choice and quality very good. Notexpensive at all.
Review 117:The hotel is getting a little bit tired. Not much in the area apart from small mall which closes early. Night market adjacent more for students.
Review 118:For its price and location good enough. Nice swimming pool and adequate gym Lounge bar comfortable. Breakfast reasonable.
Review 119:Buffet was OK but the food was barely warm. Death rattle from 180 dying compressors all night. Soundproofing of rooms. Noise from street. A tired hotel.
Review 120:Staff were good & helpful.
Review 121:(1) The selection of channels on the television set: there are only a few channels with English language. (2) The breakfast buffet: there are many choices for Thais and some choices for westerners. There is a kitchen and a chef, who is ready to take your order, but he cannot make pancakes!
Review 122:We had a nice room with good facilities (we were upgraded on arrival). The hotel has a good location in the north eastern part of town. You can find an English-language newspaper in the lobby: The Nation. A breakfast buffet is included. Next to the reception there is a business center with three computers (free for hotel guests).
Review 123:All food in the dining room was cold when it should have been hot. Italked with 3 people about this but nothing was done. Could not adjustthermostat in room. Had to turn it on and off all night to controltemperature. Loud music woke up my wife & I at 3 am. Our ExecutivePlus room indicated a "Daily" fruit plate, but only got itfirst day. Housekeeping people on 8th floor having sex behindhousekeeping door at 4pm on December 27, 2012. Told the front desk butnothing was done.
Review 124:Beds were comfortable.
Review 125:All the staff was very professional and it was a pleasure to be lookedafter by them all I would recommend this hotel to anyone of my friendsand work colleges
