Review 9：The property was slightly aged. Pillows were a little stinky. Felt like the bedsheets were not fresh. Bathroom jet spray was leaky. When hotel arranged for a taxi for one of our outdoor trip, we felt that the driver was very inflexible and rude. I think the hotel should always recommend good taxi drivers when bookings are made through them for day trips else it reflects badly on the hotel itself.

Review 13：They were not supposed to charge any deposit with my credit card behind my back as I understood that I would pay the whole amount there in cash but they used my credit card details to charge a deposit even before I reached Malaysia. The hotel is old and no separate shower in the bathroom. Only old fashioned shower in the bath tub which spills out.

Review 14：On our arrival we've got a room, facing a wall looking out of the window. We've asked to change and got one with window to outside.

Review 15：The hotel is well located in the bukit bintang area. Many rest.and bars very close to it, everything else walking distance (if you like to walk :-) ) the pool is good to have a break from the heat in the city, when you get back from exploring it. Breakfast was good too, big choice for everyones taste.

Review 16：My only complaint would be that my room (tin the Merdeka wing) seemed a little "cold", in an aesthetic sense.

Review 17：I loved the pool. It was 2.5 meters deep at the far end. Rare to find such a nice, deep pool these days. The breakfast buffet was also great. So much better than other hotels' so-called "breakfasts". I actually left my first KL hotel cuz the breakfast was so bad. I also found this hotel's location to be ideal, and the toiletries and pillow menu selections you can request free of charge was a nice touch (I took advantage of both). Overall I think this hotel offers value for money, although I got an online booking deal so I'm not sure what walk in rates are.

Review 18：Our room was right next to another building, making it really dark. The WiFi was quite slow. The rooms need more soundproofing. The facilities were quite old. Overall a good stay but could be cheaper.

Review 25：I had to wait till 6pm before I could check in when the hotel check in policy is 3pm. The staff did not offer alternative solution nor a complementary gift. All I had for an answer was that I just got to wait till 6pm as the room was not ready. Hotel cleaners did not clear the choke at the shower which causes water to pile up when I shower. I had to open the hole to clear the choke myself, then the water start flowing.

Review 27：Usually we come to KL for shopping. We like doing shopping in KL and shopping malls like Pavillion, Sungei Wang, Low Yat Plaza, Times Square, Fareinight, Lot 10, KLCC etc are all within the vicinity and easily accessible either by taxi or by foot. Food are also not a problem and there is a variety. The overall atmosphere during the festive season is very lively and gay. People in Federal Hotel are also friendly and courteous. Just to mention it's the second time we came to stay there. we came in the year 2014 also (December). In fact we visited KL for the last 3 years in a row. (2013, 2014 & 2015)

Review 28：They need to improve their time management as the Check-In is too slow...I have to wait about an hour and was shocked when there are still some guests who arrive earlier than me have not Check In as well. Some even waited longer than me to Check In.

Review 30：Photo of the rooms are misleading and different from actual condition. Bedroom was old and carpet had stains. Bathroom was dirty with noticeable dirt. Loud music from surrounding night clubs were clearly heard, affected our sleeping at night. Price on booking.com states that total price is inclusive of all additional charges (ie. service charge and GST). Upon check out, there was an additional cost for service charge and GST imposed).

Review 38：I was staying with my parents here for three nights in room 1223 and my dad kept hearing some kind of noises close to the TV every single time we turn off the lights at night. Creepy. And the lifts are crazy noisy!!

My family pool view room has not ready even we arrived late than check in time, the staff has offer another deluxe room which is not under our expectations, so we refuse instantly. The staff agreed to contacted us once the family pool view room is ready, meanwhile we wait in the deluxe room, but we didn't received any calls from them until we return to the lobby after one hour! Eventually, we get the room after one and half hours! It's wasting my time!

Review 59：The Federal was well located in Bukit Bintang near Chinatown and the Golden Triangle. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The rooms were clean and adequate, would recommend to all.

Review 99：the front staff took so long to check us in then gave us double room for twin request. the room had problem with toilet and safe box. report to maintenace staff. nothing happened. report to reception. we asked another room , then she gave us a room but no apology for the first room.also gave us double room not twin...next morning discovered no hairdryer ,call operater to give us dryer. nothing happened. call again. explained second time. then had a call asking me do you need it now? if not why i called twice for it... then staff came up with iron. not hairdryer.most staff are not listening what we are saying since we checked in. the level of customer service is very low. or none. it was very very dissapointing experiences for the last day in malaysia.

Review 102：The Hotel is located in a strategic location easy to shop around which is convenient. ..no need for taxi cus all shopping malls located close proximity of the Hotel...The Staff are friendly and go out of their way to make one fell comfortable. ..plenty of eateries around with choice of cuisine to choose from and the famous Jalan Alor Food Heaven is about 5 mins walk from Hotel...The Hotel breakfast is above average....The Hotel in general is like a 5 Star to me cus all my expectation was met. Review 103：the pub, G-point has a live band that help me to unwind after a hectic day in the office. Massage place are also available at the basement. Very convenient as its in the hotel itself.

Review 126：However, customer service not that great and I requested few hrs late checkout and they charging like $30 per hr, if I have stayed for 4 hrs it would have cost me more than 1 night at the hotel. At least they could have been reasonable, also the hotel wasn't even full. We stayed for 3 nights and 1st night i check in at midnight. But they do not take anything into consideration. This is my Third trip to Malaysia and the 2nd time I booked in Federal, 1st time was in Times Square. However, I am not sure I will come back to this hotel on my next trip. I do not mind paying, but sometimes we look for good service and some gesture rather than a called NO we can't. Thanks

Review 128：Service. I've booked for 3 person room and the payment deducted from my account 5 days early from checked in date. When checked in they give 2 person room with 2 single bed. But after we made a complaint, they agreed to upgrade the room. Food. Not to say so nice but for me, not worth with the price. Car park. Need to park inside Low Yat Plaza. Not in the hotel building. But the parking fee is free if got hotel stamp.

We could hear the disco downstairs until the early hours of the morning and hooning on the streets also. We did manage to sleep but were woken up several times with the street noise. My tip is ask for a room away from the front of the hotel.
