Reviews for The Lodge at Breckenridge
Review 1:We were not aware that the hotel was "dog" friendly. My son suffered from an attack by a french bulldog about a year ago and is deathly afraid of dogs. We also needed to charge our TESLA and asked as soon as we checked in. No one could help us. The next day we went down to One Ski Hill because they have a charger for the TESLA, but they would only let us use it if we had a room there. We needed the car charged so we had to get the room - we asked for a refund from your hotel and they were not able to accomodate. They did say they would make an effort to let us charge - mind you it was 10:30 the next day and we had barely made it down the mountain with the car since it was not able to be charged overnight - and if they could provide this charge why did they not tell us earlier? We would have left the car and ridden in the shuttle to the ski hill.
Review 2:The staff made sure we had 2 rooms next to one another.
Review 3:The property has so much potential. With a little pride of ownership and new attitude with some of the staff, the property could soar. The free Breakfast is a weak attempt. Tables not cleared and cleaned for long periods. Shuttle driver took off, I thought quickly, with no attempt to contact our party of 4, having just spoken via cell 15-20 minutes prior.
Review 4:Front Desk Staff. Views.
Review 5:For the $ we paid, the alarm clock in the room was broken and the mirror in the room was cracked. Also, the pillows aren't that comfortable.
Review 6:This hotel is beautifully located, and very rustic with modern amenities. The staff are also very nice.
Review 7:The bar and restaurant was closed at 8.30, even though it says it's open till 10. It was off season and was really slow that evening so we understood. But we were starving and looking forward to a glass of wine!
Review 8:The staff, went above and beyond on several occasions.
Review 9:Reception staff were indifferent both on arrival and when we were checking out.
Review 10:Room was excellent and the views were superb. Restaurant staff were efficient but also friendly. Really good fresh fruit salad and plenty of choice for breakfast.
Review 11:Rooms still felt slightly cheap and the noise from the wind was really hard to sleep through but otherwise it was a nice stay.
Review 12:The view and staff were amazing
Review 13:We had a mountain view room with private balcony and it was worth every penny! And since we went in the summer we didn't even have to spend very many pennies! The breakfast had standard fare, but also fresh fruit salad to enjoy with yogurt and granola. The croissants were a welcome surprise and the coffee was a delicious rainforest blend. We ate dinner at the lodge restaurant one evening and the food was wonderful. Even if you don't stay here you must try the restaurant! But you really should stay here.
Review 14:No elevator but did have one staff person who could assist with bags. Lack of cross breeze in the room because window blinds did not stay open and desk location prevented one /window/blind from opening. Water pressure an issue especially the hot water for a shower.
Review 15:Very quiet and clean and well appointed. Good restaurant on the property. Breakfast that came with the room very nice. Nice deck outside the room with a chair and table. The views from the deck and the restaurant were spectacular. Staff could not have been friendlier and more professional.
Review 16:So friendly, helpful and accommodating . Excellent location to be away from the village antics but close enough to ski in winter and hike in summer. Not pretentious in the slightest.
Review 17:Leak in the bathroom had to move rooms, no breakfast the restaraunt was closed and for substitution was gross pre packaged muffins. No amenities, gym was horrible!
Review 18:Great views and local
Review 19:We were a bit disappointed with breakfast, there may have been some staff problems, but the menu needs upgrading for the price, at least whipped topping and fruit for waffles. We have seen better at a comfort inn
Review 20:We love this old lodge, just about out of our price range now and the improvements do not warrant price
Review 21:Wi-fi was out for about for a bit, but those things can happen (and they began tackling the issue quickly)
Review 22:Beautiful location and facilities; incredibly friendly and helpful staff
Review 23:The breakfast was a little bland but I did not stay here for the breakfast. So that's fine.
Review 24:The restaurant was good, hot tubs were nice after a long day of skiing. The shuttle service and drivers were great and helpful, and the views of the mountains were great.
Review 25:the breakfast could have been a little better with more of a Variety of selection but since it was free what do you expect.
Review 26:the stay at the lodge at Breckenridge was amazing! The staff was very friendly and the view from the hotel was breathtaking! Overall it was definitely the best hotel stay I've had in a long time.
Review 27:The breakfast left much to be desired. I had higher expectations based in the grounds and accommodations! Seriously, they need to offer something much better like warm eggs and sausage!
Review 28:The hotel was so quaint and comfortable! The restaurant on site delivered 5 star food! Excellent facility!!
Review 29:The location is a bit far from the ski area although the shuttle is great. The breakfast is absolutely awful. Colorado has the friendliest people so I wonder where the staff is from as they are NOT friendly.
Review 30:Great shuttle service.
Review 31:Thought the hotel was going to be much larger than it actually was.
Review 32:everybody that we met was super friendly. The shuttle service was great. Shoutout to Mike for helping us when we had to go back and fourth a few times.
Review 33:Overall the restaurant could be better and definitely they need to work on the breakfast, which is free, but frankly very poor and unmanned. Considering the rooms are quite expensive, they could put a lot more effort into it.
Review 34:Great place with lots of character and fantastic staff - proper mountain retreat
Review 35:Door connecting to next room let sound through a bit too much.
Review 36:Amazing setting with fantastic views. Great restaurant. Quiet efficient temperature in room. Comfortable beds.
Review 37:The only thing I would improve would be the breakfast selections. Many guests are there to ski and snowboard so a protein option would be nice considering everything available was a carbohydrate. It tasted nice though :)
Review 38:The location was exceptional! At first, I thought it might be a little far from town but the drive in so so enjoyable and the views were fantastic. Picturesque lodge decor really added to the stay!
Review 39:No hot tub due to renovations. Construction in hallways. Lodge is up on a hill which is beautiful view but hard to get to town.. we got snowed in over night.
Review 40:Beautiful room! Beautiful view! Great staff helped us sooo much! Fantastic range of breakfast items included in stay. Gym was decent and spacious.
Review 41:Unfortunately The Lodge was under renovation so breakfast was very poor, and signage could have been better as much of the place was out of use.
Review 42:Location ...... Breckenridge is a 'must see' place. Will be fantastic I'm sure after November 7th .....
Review 43:Fireplace didn't work because of the construction and the breakfast was unimpressive.
Review 44:Nice room, pretty clean, lodge was under construction while I stayed so may have been different than my experience had the construction been compleat. I would stay again.
Review 45:We were looking forward to the hot tubs on the deck. We feel we should have been told that the whole lodge was under construction and the hot tubs didn't exist. At least we should have gotten a discount. We talked personally to the front desk on the phone prior to arriving and not a word was said. We have been there in the past and know what it was like prior.
Review 46:Nice room and location.
Review 47:It's probably booking.com's fault but there was no mention ofthe construction going on at the venue. The bed was horrendous and theroom, while clean was of marginal quality.
Review 48:the place was under instruction which was not revealed to us which made things very hectic. The breakfast they offer is a joke. Rotten bananas and bottled water and juice. The deck they claim to be so nice had not one stick of furniture to sit on. Stay away from this dump
Review 49:I like to be fair and this is the second time I stayed at the Lodge at Breckenridge. The first experience I had their was a loud group of people staying at the lodge howling and screaming off of the deck in the middle of the night and no one at the front desk to handle the situation, the room phone did not work so I had to go down to the front desk to complain to no one. When I expressed the situation the next morning they acted as it was no concern. That took place October of 2013. The Second Chance... I booked a room about four months in advance and the reservation was lost, with no rooms left. If it was not for a person that walked in after me and said “he was going to stay this far out of town” and cancel his reservation I would have had to go and find another place to stay .And this took place June 2014. So today’s lesson is you may not get any sleep at The Lodge in Breckenridge!!
Review 50:Hot tubs out of order, no discount. Continental breakfast very poor. Preservative loaded type items with added sugars and 2% milk instead of lowfat. Very poor. No fresh fruit. Very poor value for the money. Noisy roommates middle of the night.
Review 51:Views spectacular Quiet
Review 52:beautiful location and nice bed. easy access to main street, great included breakfast
Review 53:Location was perfect and views were amazing!!
Review 54:Can't think of one thing negative :)
Review 55:Awesome views, cozy rooms and a restaurant right there. Love not having to go into town.
Review 56:I love the cabin like rooms and common areas.
Review 57:Took five minutes to get hot water. Could hear everything from room on second floor overlooking the lobby. Rooms not very sound proof.
Review 58:Nice view.
Review 59:great off season price, wonderful view, outdoor hot tub
Review 60:Views!!!!
Review 61:Beautiful location
Review 62:Rooms are a little small
Review 63:View view view Bar area and happy hour deals
Review 64:The bathroom wasn't very clean.
Review 65:Loved the location and the hotel. Really beautiful and the deck was wonderful.
Review 66:No air condition, but was not needed at night
Review 67:All else
Review 68:Karen Greislzk
Review 69:Staff was excellent as well
Review 70:No air conditioning
Review 71:Very nice lodge, great breakfast, best fruit salad.
Review 72:Amazing location, beautiful property and wonderful staff!
Review 73:Small bathroom. Too far away from downtown. Way overpriced for the kind of room. Front desk staff didn't even greet me.
Review 74:Restaurant menu want the best.
Review 75:Not downtown with the crowds
Review 76:Staffs at the lodge are very friendly and very helpful
Review 77:Everything was very nice
Review 78:The wi-fi was terrible. And TV was small.
Review 79:The view was beautiful!
Review 80:Had a bad skin break out from over chemicalized hot tub. Tub also was closer to warm than hot.
Review 81:Very nice staff. Nice room. Free breakfast.
Review 82:Ceiling fan had a thick layer of dust and smoke alarm had what looked like to be toiletpaper on it.
Review 83:The view
Review 84:A little out of the way from the main ski centre but a good shuttle operates.
Review 85:The shuttle service stop at 9:45
Review 86:Shuttle service
Review 87:Restaurant menu.
Review 88:The shuttle service was excellent.
Review 89:Bed was way flat and hard.
Review 90:Layout, cozy, classic mountain lodge feel and look, friendly staff, sophisticated, affordable
Review 91:Breakfast could have been different options
Review 92:Costumer service
Review 93:The free shuttle service was convenient, prompt and friendly. No resort fees, free parking, onsite restaurant.
Review 94:The lodge was under renovations. When we booked this there was no mention of this.
Review 95:No hot water either evening or early morning.
Review 96:Property was undergoing renovations which are needed (especially the saggy mattresses) and this was completely understandable but when we made our reservation we were not told that the hot tubs would not be unavailable, the restaurant would be shut down, and some of the property would be off-limits. Considering the condition of the lodge at the time we stayed there, we feel the room rate was rather high.
Review 97:Friendly, helpful staff, beautiful location, pet friendly, continental breakfast was nice but limited to pastries, cereal, fruit, and yogurt due to renovations.
Review 98:It was a long way from downtown. There was no elevator so we had to carry very heavy suitcases up a flight of stairs. They are in the middle of a renovation that is really needed. The bathroom sink didn't have a stopper. The tub/shower was old and didn't have curved shower rod or places to put soap/shampoo. Only one chair and no desk. No electrical plug next to bed to charge iPhone. The windows were new and still had protective film on them(which I understand since they are still under renovation), so you couldn't see excellent views.
Review 99:The views were excellent.
Review 100:The continental breakfast was very basic and I have a huge appetite.
Review 101:I enjoyed the clean and quiet room and I really liked the excellent location. The hot tubs were exceptionally clean.
Review 102:Cannot go any where without the shuttle.
Review 103:The staff was very friendly and helpful. The lodge secluded but having a shuttle take you to where you need to go is very helpful and the drivers were very responsive to when you need a ride.
Review 104:Loved the location with the gorgeous views, the friendly and accommodating staff (Whitney especially), the rooms were spacious and shuttle service was convenient.
Review 105:I became extremely sick from the high altitude and therefore was not able to enjoy my stay.......the lodge is in need of upgrades which will be taking place next month. The staff was very nice and helpful and I was able to order dinner from Cabby Gourmet - although the food was cold when I got it an hour and a half later......... The front desk did provide me with a free deliver coupon though. The bed was not very comfortable but I did enjoy the porch for fresh air due to my sickness.......
Review 106:The view was amazing. Their free shuttle service was totally the way to go. Down town was packed and parking would be a hassle. Instead they were happy to pick you up and drop you off as needed.
Review 107:Breakfast could have been a little better. Eggs, bacon. Etc.
Review 108:Loved the beautiful big windows with the exceptional view and the in room fireplace! Also, really enjoyed the hottubs.
Review 109:Breakfast was a pit poor and selfservice only! Coffee in papercups!
Review 110:The staff at the reception was very friendly and helpful giving good advise for Restaurants. Also there is a free taxi- shuttle service into town- very convinient!!
Review 111:Breakfast had limited choices of food. One window in the room was broken. Bath tub drainage didn't work properly.
Review 112:Large and spacious room. Good location. Staff was excellent.
Review 113:The breakfast was poor with limited healthy choices of food; the breakfast area quickly became dirty during the morning. The wireless internet was unreliable and slow.
Review 114:Staff was excellent and so were location, the entire facility and particularly the guest room.
Review 115:Not walking distance to any attractions. Complimentary breakfast was very basic. No help from staff offered to move luggage, etc.
Review 116:Nice mountain views. Fairly easy to get into town but must drive carefully in downy conditions.
Review 117:Walls are paper thin so you can hear what your neighbors are doing almost to the point of understanding all they are saying.
Review 118:Great location & view of Breck ski runs. Room had a nice design & feel
Review 119:quite far from main part of town and the hotel shuttle was not very timely
Review 120:overall a very large room for the price and the building was quite nice, great scenery
Review 121:The coffe maker didn't work and the water pressure in the shower was weak. When I asked a few questions at the front desk I felt like I was intruding on that persons evening. I didn't realize that it was a dog friendly hotel. everytime I walked by a specific room the dogs would go crazy.
Review 122:The flexibility to help when needed.
Review 123:The back porch light in the room didn't have a way to turn it off, and stayed on all night. Shutters didn't stay closed, so we had light streaming in the room all night. Called front desk, but he didn't know where the switch was to turn them off.
Review 124:Great location, comfortable facility and nice staff. Great value for an overnight stay.
Review 125:View was amazing. When I booked online I had no idea the view and howspacious the room was and the amenities that came with it. Very closeto the gondola and I enjoyed watching the full moon from the jacuzziand in my room
