Reviews for Sagres Inland - Aldeia da Pedralva
Review 1:Everything was perfect! Beautiful houses with everithing you need. Amazing terrace for having meals and spend some quality time with family! The restaurant is very nice and amazing food. Don't miss the "bacalhau no pão" it's delicious! The beaches around are stunning! We will certainly come back! Not having TV nor Internet turned ou to be a really good thing!
Review 2:the very uncomfortable sofa bed, the fact the wifi isn't working well even in the main room (that should be said before as it can be so important today to still be connected to your work, even on holidays!), the house next door that was being refurbished and so we had a lot of noise during the day (this should have waited to be done during the low season), no more hot water the second day!
Review 3:The house itself and the localisation
Review 4:If you are walking the Rota Vincentina and Villa do Bispo is your destination know that this hotel is about 12 KM walking from Villa do Bispo.
Review 5:This hotel is a very charming hotel. The owner has taken and old Portuguese town and restored the houses to create a series of guest houses. The are rustic and charming. Very spacious with comfortable beds and a large bathroom. We ate three meals at the hotel restaurant and all three were some of the best food we had in Portugal. The bar is fun and charming. The resort is very family friendly. The owner and staff were very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be staying here on our next trip to Portugal.
Review 6:As soon as we entered cottage could smell damp. This them continued into both bedrooms and the mattress and bedding felt damp. Badly spotted mirror in room as part of genuine antiques theme. Would have preferred one I could actually see in. Thought it was quaint but horribly overpriced but given general lack of accommodation in area probably the bet we could do and think breakfast should have been included in the price
Review 7:Beautifully renovated village
Review 8:The BBQ area and the other public areas, like the pool could be nicer and more inviting
Review 9:They have done a great job restoring that place and we enjoyed our stay
Review 10:although I was looking forward for this stay it was disappointing to be woken up with construction noise at 9am sharp while the price seems exaggerated. and what's the point of having a nespresso coffee machine if you have to bring your own capsules?
Review 11:the village of Pedralva easily merits a visit (but not necessarily a stay) and the renovation works is praiseworthy. and the terrace in our studio was lovely!
Review 12:It would be great if the kitchen had some salt/olive oil for guests to use as its one of those things you don't want to buy just to cook one meal or two. The soundproofing is quite bad, we could hear the neighbors having a bedtime chat and snoring. But not a huge problem.
Review 13:The village feels very peaceful, the houses are really nicely restored, the staff were helpful and friendly. The housekeeping did the washing up as part of their service which was great. The barbecue facilities were a bonus, we picked some dry pine wood on the way back from the beach one night warm evening and made a feast.
Review 14:nothing
Review 15:The beautiful setting, spacious rooms and brilliant food.
Review 16:The lack of mobile phone network access is a bit of a problem
Review 17:location
Review 18:Everything was perfect, the staff, the room.
Review 19:WiFi wasn't working while at the hotel, but that makes it easier to take in the beauty that is pedralva.
Review 20:Amazing stay With great service
Review 21:Sound isolation on the houses. We had a family with 2 children in a house next to ours and the crying was very audible on our house, preventing us for the needed rest at night
Review 22:Everything
Review 23:It was a wonderful experience. We booked one night but we decided to extend our stay. We enjoyed restaurant, swimming pool and completely renovated buildings.
Review 24:This place is "large families-friendly", and probably listed in associations' "where to go". Don't be surprised if you find kids everywhere (which is not an issue... unless they play until past midnight running up and down the narrow streets...)
Review 25:It's a different experience as you feel somehow as in a village. The house has everything you need for self-catering (including daily kitchen and cooking stuff cleaning). Good location and excellent restaurants.
Review 26:I can´t recommend this place because of very noisy environment. I think that the owner should be more precise in the targeting: it is described as very quiet place in the middle of nowhere, and we were looking forward to it even for the higher price. At the same time there was a lot of people similar to us. Unfortunatelly, there are no rules for overall behaviour in the very little village, and couple of people were so extremenly noisy till 1 a.m., that it spoiled completely our stay here. People were shouting, their kids were running up and down the narrow streets in the village, we felt like living in the middle of a bar. So - if you like noice and night life, paradox is you can like this place, marketed as quiet one.
Review 27:Very nice design of the house. The whole idea of reconstruction the original house (no fake) is excellent.
Review 28:At the arrival the Service was very unfriendly. We waited 10 minutesbefore they finished there internal problems. The breakfast is exept thefresh orange juice no noteworthy. No fruits and not organic. No phonecoverage, very slow signal for WIFI.The house is without aircondition.Daytimes too hot to open the shutters, at nighttime too may moscitos toopen them....At all too well advised and a bit overpriced.
Review 29:Good concept to keep this old villages alive. Nice house and nicefurnishing. (A bit too much Ikea). Beaches are close by and wonderful. The pizza place is unbeatable.
Review 30:A great place to relax after a day surfing in the wonderfull beaches nearby. The houses are very confortable and clean and the staff, from the reception to the restaurant, are all very nice and helpfull.
Review 31:the place is a project (building up an ancient village) worth supporting by having a nice stay in a beautiful surrounding. Anyway, you should have a car to go anywhere. Nice staff, and a good pizzeria in the village
Review 32:Apartment for 8 persons was perfectly furnished and heated (I was therein January!). Position is perfect to explore wonderful coastline. Alsobreakfast is good if you like to try. And they suggested us the bestrestaurant I have tried in Portugal, the Correo in Vila do Bispo.
Review 33:No mirror in the bedroom
Review 34:The villagey atmosphere and the food.
