Reviews for Anjum Makkah Hotel

Review 1:Nothing

Review 2:Really it was one of my best stay in Makkah. We liked the place & Service level which is difficult to find in Makkah. I really recommend this hotel to everyone.

Review 3:Location explained:---Hotel was in close proximity to Haram. Due to construction/closure of gates around Haram required; to walk towards King Fahad gate, which may seem lengthy (10-15mins)---new gate King Abdullah is partially opened for use (next to King Fahad gate). Once new gate opens fully, then walk is literally 2-3mins.

Review 4:Excellent hotel with comfortable/luxury rooms. Best breakfast service I have seen with huge capacity/choice; in comparison to other hotels close to Haram.

Review 5:We couldn't reach the hotel easily.. It's not as close as it says on Booking.com from alharam. It took a long time to check in. And there was annoying constraction noise all day and night..

Review 6:The hotel workers were friendly and the room was very clean and comfortable..

Review 7:Dinner should add in hotel package

Review 8:I like the room service & all staff was so polite specially Bandar front office supervisor just 3 minute from haram

Review 9:Called Reception couple of times, but they did not bother answering. At checkout they wanted me to pay more than what I had booked via booking.com, but after some arguing, Receptionist agreed and let me go without any extra charges

Review 10:Breakfast Cleanliness Location Comfort

Review 11:Mother with children Bad service Bad staff bad attued never seen like this for five stars hotel. My name is Amna from Dubai  I stayed at hotel for 3 nights from 30th December to 2nd January (junior suite) I checked in late around 2Am as I was coming from madina while checking in they ask me to take the concierge guy with me rather than go and take rest at the room and wait for my lagage. In the same day I went to have breakfast after i finished from my Ihram I ask the super visor( Hasan ) if I could take some food for my children or serve it in the room as they are sleeping and excusted he said (NOOOO ITS NOT allowed let your children get up and come to have breakfast and back to sleep )bad body language not kind not helpful the worst service ever . Second day I went to reception and I asked if they could provide me some restaurant number for delivery as in the hotel no restaurant he said I can't serve you on that go to next to al haram . Asked house keeping to bring baby cot ,change the blanket as it was dirty ,add some water bottle and coffee making facilities. He only bring baby cots . There is no car for the hotel .No iron .very small space.Visa card doesn't work easy.I didn't see any smile from most of the staff. Thanks for the waitress Sayed ali and Bandar from reception for they're service. Regards, Amna

Review 12:Although hotel is near to Harram but you have to pass through a small road where cars will be next to you to reach the Harram due to current construction. You need to take care of your children safety.

Review 13:Big Spacious hotel, near Harram with Harram view rooms. When Harram extension finish; it will be the nearest hotel to Harram

Review 14:Location not ideal, although close to al-haram on the map, it is up a steep hill along a very busy road. Also many taxis drivers refuse to go there as they have to take a long detour to get back to the busy centre.

Review 15:Free wifi which works in the rooms. Rooms comfortable and clean. Good choices for breakfast.

Review 16:The hotel is far away from the mosque, as there's a construction site in front of the hotel so you need to walk a lot. internet was relatively slow. but all in all not bad for walking lovers

Review 17:Helpful staff, big rooms, good breakfast fast check in and check out although its Omrah season! but all in all not bad for walking lovers

Review 18:reception desk attendants never heard of giving you your breakfast to go due to an early flight. staff kept transferring us from one manager to another to another to one who never called back.

Review 19:Fancy Luxurious Hotel.Great Location.

Review 20:Reception is horrible experience. A huge hotel with reception of a belowaverage hotel. There was one credit card swipe machine and was beingcarried over to all the receptionists.

Review 21:All but reception.

Review 22:the parking was free some time ago this year before hajj 1436. badly surprised that they asked for 120 sar per day. I think the management should reconsider this.

Review 23:very frendly staff, with ultra rapid response on all requests made to them (joining both beds, bringing more towels, etc...)

Review 24:Staff are not enough to serve many customer. There is no queue for customer at the reception. The basic roles are not implemented. They can not find my booking using booking.com reference umber. Instead, they said my reservation has been canceled because there is no enough money in my credit card while my booking is "pay later". I tried to explain to him but unfortunately he did not listen to me. After I contact booking.com, they explain to him how to find my booking. Staff need more training courses. At the car park, they allowed other customers to park their cars in front of my car in a wrong way. When I want to leave, I could not. I wait long time to contact other car drivers using my mobile phone. To sum up, They don't know how to handle five stars hotels.

Review 25:I didnt find iron in the room ? But i can ask for it am sure ,,, overall its not abig deal

Review 26:I like the location and value of money and all the staff of the hotel ... They are very helpfull ,,, its really close to harm just less than 50 metre not more ,,,

Review 27:Some construction going on

Review 28:One of few hotels near HARAM with parking available. Walking distance of 500-600 meters to HARAM. Just adjacent to the new expansion project of the HARAM. So once completed the walk will be much less for prayers

Review 29:breakfast is disappointing for a 5-star hotel (no pancakes, no live cooking station, no espresso)

Review 30:Very nice staff, location is good, free parking, large rooms

Review 31:We had reconciliation problem on checking out of the hotel which was embarrassing to us. We paid all our bills on checking in only to confront us with additional bill on checking out which they could not prove. This should be avoided. Room 1407

Review 32:Anjum is good. I will still use it again.

Review 33:Receptionist. ..too rude..couldn't guide properly..every receptionist had his own rules and regulations. .maingate watchman..too rude. .no manners how to speak..parking guardians. No respect..all seemed to be of one group

Review 34:Rooms

Review 35:Wifi inside the room was very weak, and almost net available.

Review 36:Everything thing was ok, clean well organized staff were cooperative and the site near to the Haram few minutes walking max. 5 minutes.

Review 37:the distance between the mosque and the hotel was too far and it made us feel unhappy with hotel.

Review 38:I liked everything in the hotel. In short it is Was worth it.

Review 39:Very small beds (only for kids) Although I am a very thin man.!!!!!Restaurant is in the basement, Mosquitos on the food and every where, low class furniture and decoration,

Review 40:A new and clean hotel

Review 41:When we got to the hotel we could not find our way to the main entrance. We saw some of the people who work there, who happened to be outside : and they just pointed us to a direction. and we walked....walked....walked.. Some clear directions would have been more helpful..

Review 42:The hotel was good and comfortable.

Review 43:Though the location is close to the Masjid but it is far from Mataf/Kaabah. Considered expensive as compared to other hotels of similar star rating. Internet is slow.

Review 44:Breakfast is good.

Review 45:THE STAFF AT RECEPTION DON'T SPEAK ENGLISH WELL, THEY WILL WATCH YOU STANDING IN FRONT OF THEM BUT WILL NOT CALL YOU TO SERVE UNTILL YOU ASK THEM ,VERY POOR RECEPTION SERVICE.

Review 46:THE ROOMS ARE CLEAN , SAFE AND SOUND, QUITE NEAR TO HARRAM AND GOOD FOR PILGRIM.

Review 47:House keeping must be improved

Review 48:I travelled last year , my experience was vt good, but this year lot of rush that s why they could not manage properly every thing .

Review 49:Also include asian food in his food list my chikdren and my mother not eat any thing for this reeson we eat out side during my stay but we paid charges of food.

Review 50:Very slow wifi service in rooms. During our stay we are 3 childs and 3 adults but they have not given me baby cort for my 5 year children after my request couple of time no body response me.

Review 51:The walk to the Mosque takes around 10 minutes. However, when the new section of the mosque will be done, it would hopefully take less than 5 minutes.

Review 52:Even though the hotel was fully booked, the lobby was full of people, the staff still remained calm, welcomed guests with smiling faces, and gave each guest their right and attention.

Review 53:I don't think any guest can stay in my room. The ventelation was so bad that I thought i was sleeping in a toilet. I complaind for two nights i was fasting and this was terrible. The second thing i decided to extend for one night because of my sickness but the receptionist were very rude and they asked me to leave. I tried my best to stay but no way. When i was checking out i came to know that they accepting new guests. It was a terrible experience at this hotel.

Review 54:The location, furnature , the Arabisque style of the hotel.

Review 55:You should use the restaurant in the hotel because the other restaurant is far away from the hotel, but u can solve this problem but u need to walk and bring food to hotel if u have ur father or an old man/women with u Wifi need to be extend their coverage area because its very difficult to catch

Review 56:Good location near al haram just few steps and nice food ,

Review 57:1-House keeping performance quality 2-rooms with Haram view so noisy because of construction

Review 58:Great service, very freindly staff, unfortunately not perfect housekeeping but fair enough, over all was great property and great staff

Review 59:Ok things I didn't like. 1) I requested crib for my baby upon booking, it wasn't given (they did arrange an extra bed) 2) I asked for a scissor for 2 min, there was not one in the whole hotel. 3) called room service to get honey, took them over an hour to bring it to my room after calling them 3 times, don't won't to know how long the food would have taken. 4) ask for outlet converter, they didn't had one. 5) no ATM machine near by. I would say the only 5 star thing about this hotel is the lobby and location. The rest is 3 star. You can get much cheaper hotel near by also

Review 60:Best thing about the hotel is the location of the hotel. It is near to the new expension which is a hidden gem. Not a lot of people know about this so was very nice. The cafe outside the hotel very nice food and tea.

Review 61:WiFi internet in the room was very weak

Review 62:I stayed in Anjum hotel during Ramadhan and it was excellent choice has a clean room, nice food, and helpful staff. The hotel is very close to Haram. I did not have any difficulties using the elevators because it is fast and many

Review 63:Poor room service (in-room dining) - ordered meal did not come after more than 2 hours. Amenities can be improved - no WiFi, no bathrobe, no slippers.

Review 64:Everything is new.

Review 65:I thing the hotel in Ramadan is too busy and the management can't control every thing due to that reason such as, it is difficult to call the reception because I tried meny time but no body answer and I booked a car from the hotel to the airport but they told me we don't have any car now that when I doing the check out . also, you have to carry your luggage or you have to Waite long time .

Review 66:The location, WIFI, the type of food which provide for fasters people and the general atmosphere.

Review 67:Location

Review 68:Good staff They change the Junior suite. Because it was not with Kabbah view.it was only Haram view with alot of constructions Mr Marwan kindly solved this problem My reservation was non refundable . He spoke with booking . Com and agreed to give me a room not suite with better view . They returned back to me the difference in price. Thanks for booking . Com Really it's the best

Review 69:Food is not great, can definitely improve their. Its okyish. Checking in was a nightmare. Took over an hour to get in my room.

Review 70:The staff is friendly and the hotel is very convenient.

Review 71:you actually see part of the construction of the holly mousqe but to pray in the haram is another thing! Iftar was missing the most important things ( dates, coffee, zamzam) beds were made for kids with width of 50 cm!

Review 72:Cleaness

Review 73:The reception staff, although the room available they try to push me to wait for specific hour. The time of Iftar is limited on 3 hours. I suggest to be longer hours like until 12 am. Very crowded in restaurant.

Review 74:I like the kind of food.

Review 75:Breakfast was not ready until 6:30, even the hall was vacant by 6:20 am. While we already informed them that we have to check out early in the morning to travel back. Rooms are located far away from the elevators.

Review 76:Nice Parking. Lobby. Open air cafe. Overall good and clean building.

Review 77:slight distance from hotel to al haram but managable, a bit dusty on the way to haram due to ongoing construction

Review 78:Free parking, Free Wifi, comfortable room, nice design, flexible check out time i.e. after zuhor solah, easy to exit to Ummul Qura Road from the hotel. Hotel staff are friendly, quick check in and out.

Review 79:No need to vist the guest at room to remind for check out and if the guest has flight the should help to give littel time.

Review 80:1- no taxi service 2- wifi signal very week in the room.

Review 81:Wifi didn't work for 2 days...technical problems...started working on the 3rd day

Review 82:Excellent Hotel, clean, neat, easy access to haram, great breakfast

Review 83:Just small advise for the hotel management, move the electric kettle from underneath the TV otherwise the steam could damage it. The housekeeping staff need more training and awareness on how to set up the beds and efficiently clean the bathroom.

Review 84:Location, friendly staff, as per the terms and conditions the check in time is 3pm, but I reach at 6 am. I made my Omrah and back to hotel at 10 am and they give me a room.

Review 85:WiFi sometimes dose not connect in some locations in the 9th floor.

Review 86:We actually liked everything at the Anjum hotel, the location, the rooms, the breakfast, room service, the humble Turkish guests, and specially the staff, Mr. Khalid at the reception helped us switch between rooms after hearing some construction sounds from Haram in the first night, and that was great, and also at the first day, our rooms were upgraded into Haram view with no extra cost, it was great, it is a differently great place to revisit, and hopefully we can get some rooms in our next visits in Ramadan.

Review 87:the wireless connection was very weak in the room

Review 88:the staff was very friendly and cooperative. the room was clean the breakfast was very good they offered me Haram view complementary

Review 89:Frankly everything was fine Maybe Expresso Coffee or better coffee for breakfast will be better

Review 90:Breakfast not bad compare to other hotel 5* Size of room ok Not far from Harram Staff are kind

Review 91:Nothing at all

Review 92:-everything is very positive in this hotel, and it is very difficult to figure out any defect. - The staff is very smiley, helpful and welcoming all the guests. - The lobby is nice and the external is beautiful as well. - This hotel is newly opened in last Ramadan and that's why you can find every thing in your room is new and never consumed. - The breakfast buffet is good and of a variety of different kinds of food.

Review 93:Poorly managed and understaffed for number of customers. Once had to wait in a queue at reception for 20 minutes to be served. Breakfast is free but a terrible experience unless you go early e.g. 7-8 am. Understaffed and not enough tables for the size of the hotel. Long wait for a table and similar wait for cutlery and plates. Buffet breakfast but very slow to refill empty containers. Not enough cups, drank my orange juice in a tea cup! Room was booked online for three people but only got twin room. Had to pay 150 SR for an extra bed and by 1 am wasn't delivered so cancelled it. Again problems to get my money back for the extra bed which I finally got. Some of the staff are friendly but others could do with hospitality training.

Review 94:Walking distance to Haram. New hotel. Comfortable rooms with Haram view. Free WIFI Parking facility

Review 95:1. I think it will be a good hotel to stay once the new King Abdullah gate opens up. Currently, it is so far and it is a good ten minute walk to make an entry to the mosque. 2. There is nothing closeby- like a barber for men, a small kiosk/shop where one can buy water/juice/tea. 3. We ordered tea with milk in the room but it took them 50 minutes to bring it and it came without the milk. This was pretty disappointing since we called them thrice about it and the manager kept saying "The server is on your floor" 4. There were a lot of items in breakfast but people stuffed their plates leaving very little for others since we walked in at 9.45. I think there should be a more strategic way to handle this.

Review 96:1. The staff was courteous. A lot of people stuffed their plates over breakfast, and i saw the waiters cleaning the plate by separating the untouched food. 2. They allowed us to check-out till 3.00 PM, which was very good compared.

Review 97:I booked a single room and Junior Suite with Haram View 52 m², but I surprised the suite size is too small | almost 30m²|. The hotel manger didn't provide any support. I re booked 3 single rooms. Be careful the size is TRICK.

Review 98:Location, smell, some staff, breakfast.

Review 99:If you take a shower the water spreads all over the bathroom. The breakfast is really poor serving only eggs.

Review 100:The hotel is really nice, the parking is a very good idea because no hotel in this area is providing a parking space.

Review 101:Nothing to mention.

Review 102:I liked the friendly staff (especially Muneer), they were cooperative, helpful, and professional. The rooms are excellent with all what you need. The breakfast had a good variety, which we enjoyed. We were in the 16th floor, and the WiFi coverage was perfect.

Review 103:Not really a negative, but the location not that great. Its ok. That's minor. Might be difficult for older couples.

Review 104:Friendly, helpful staff. Free wifi. Free parking, easy to get to. Very convenient.

Review 105:- Weak WiFi. - On doorstep of Haram but over construction site of King Abdullah Gate. - No restaurants outside hotel and I had to go to clock tower side for food options which was manageable for me.

Review 106:- Good breakfast. - Room service and Dine-in options of hotel but off-course it is not cheap.

Review 107:Nothing to mention

Review 108:Every thing in the hotel, starting from easy access, free car park, reception staff was friendly and check in was quick. Building is beautiful new n spacious. Room was excellent, staff wss sufficient and very cooperative. Beds we're God size and comfortable, breakfast was excellent with plenty of different dishes to choose from . bathroom was neat clean, Check out was again very quick n easy.wonderful place

Review 109:Nothing related to hotel, but in general difficult to reach location because on going construction made it nearly impossible to reach hotel, it takes 2 hours to reach during thursday evening, so plan the route. Once you reach inside hotel has big private free parking, which makes me smiling

Review 110:Excellent hotel Good food Nice Environment Very good service Quick Check in and Check out Friendly staff

Review 111:….in the hotel web, it said underground tunnel connects the Holy Mosque, which is a reason for me to pick this hotel, in reality its under construction, and we’d to cross busy street with our own… it’s a serious breach of trust & deception…..

Review 112:Close to Holy Mosque....

Review 113:Location near the new expansion of Haram (not close for the gates for the timebeing), cold food @ restaurant, very weak WiFi

Review 114:Staff, facilities, spacious room, comfort beds

Review 115:1. My room was tiny. Walls made of gypsum board which let you hear your neighbor. 2. Having two entrances and two receptions were confusing, yet useful during high seasons. 3. Front desks counters are small. Number of staff there is not enough and unprofessional. You have to wait for a long time in queue. 4. Outdoor coffee shop has become a smoking yard. Smoking should not be allowed at all.

Review 116:Proximity to Haram Mosque. Bed & Bath were good.

Review 117:Due to the current construction, the view was not as desirable as you might think. The price is very hight considering all the construction going on around the hotel, so the hotel should have lowered their rates to attract more customers The hotel in general is not as clean as it should and the toilets have several dirty spots and the towels had spots as well. This is a high priced hotel with 5 star rating, then it should be clean accordingly.

Review 118:The location is just in front of the Holy Mosque

Review 119:We were a group of twelve 8 adults 3 children and 1 baby. For reasonsbeyond my control we were split up arriving in anjum.the 3 adults with Ikid and a baby got to anjum at 6pm. Explained themselves that the restof the group will be arriving later that night and if they could bechecked in and given their room as they had one little child and a babywho was very tired and needed to be fed and made comfortable. The staffcompletely ignored the explaination and left them in the foyer to waituntil the person with the card that was used to make the booking arrivedat 12 midnight. That was totally unacceptable. The rest of the 5 adultsand 2 children arrived at anjum at 12 midnight. Hospitality wise I willgive them a zero!!!!!!! The price I paid I only got b/fast whileother people paid the same price and got both b/fast and dinner.Someone phoned to say they were sending complimentary chocolates to eachof our four rooms. We still waiting for those!!!! When I asked thereception the gentleman at the desk just shrugged his shoulders.

Review 120:Breakfast was very good. The staff at b/fast were always friendly. Awoman standing at reception would be invisible. Men get served first. Agood clean hotel with good location.

Review 121:High season prices online. Way too expensive even for those that could afford it.

Review 122:Very Comfortable rooms and facilities, cleanliness is perfect, location is away from all the busy shopping and food area that is found on the opposite side by the clock tower.

Review 123:Being a new hotel needs enough bleach and detoil for the toilet to stop the odour that ooze out from the toilet although it is very clean.

Review 124:Rooms and food

Review 125:Distance from Haram, Not a good room for more than 2 people. Room was small. and our room could not hear the prayer call.

Review 126:Great service, good hotel for max 2 ppl. Great lobby and rooms were good. Professional staff that is rare in SA.

Review 127:Due to the building work around the hotel there were quite a bit of noise and firsts around.

Review 128:The staffs were very friendly. The place was very. The breakfast was amazing. Prime location especially when all the building works are completed.

Review 129:breakfast was not proper sorted. booking is bad , deduct one day and didn't utilize my room as plan. room size was bad on the corner of hotel and bed was very small.

Review 130:dinner is very good. facility in the hotel is very good. room cleaning is fair.

Review 131:One small thing is about the wifi signals , I have spend 2 nights on 12th floor where there were no wifi connectivity in room but when I have a room on 2nd floor ,signals were very good.

Review 132:Very Good Location Excellent and cooperative Staff Clean , Comfy , Excellent Food. Recommened

Review 133:Bad bad location , it's not good for elderly people or children because you have to pass through street and it's busy with cars not safety (not near elharam) no services near hotel (such as supermarkets , shops ) poor wireless Normal buffet not 5 star hotel foods .

Review 134:New comfortable Good staff جديد ونظيف والموظفين طيبين فيه باركات للسيارات مظلله ماتخاف علی سيارتك وقعده الطاولات تشرح نفس برا زين للشباب فقط

Review 135:Service of outdoor restaurant very poor - extremely slow and after a number of attempts still couldn't get order right Parking v expensive

Review 136:Close to Haram (5 min walk max) Nice buffet restaurant (indoors) Good clean rooms

Review 137:Noise from near by construction work, the distance is not that close to haram , about 500 meters to haram , PARKING WAS NOT FREE for hotel guests

Review 138:New hotel located near al haram , i liked everything about this hotel.

Review 139:Wi-Fi is poor, paying car parking fees is something very odd for a guest staying in the hotel, especially the room charge is somehow relatively high.

Review 140:Staff attention, everyone i asked him for anything was attentive, and polite.

Review 141:Everything was good about the hotel except that my bathroom was flooding and despite complaint it was never fixed. Fortunately I was in a junior suite and had an additional bathroom, hence could manage easily.

Review 142:Location is far from Haram Entrance Breakfast is not arranged properly If you are coming for Umrah , I dont think this can compare with the hotels near the main entrance of Haram. Alot of walking to reach the Kaabah and back.

Review 143:Room Cleanness

Review 144:The hospitality and service of personel named Elsayed Abdelsamed working in Joul restaurant was perfect . We spend 17 days totaly in the hotel. We are happy to stay in Anjum hotel.

Review 145:Excellent hotel, easy to communicate with kind staff, location is very near to haram, very clean hotel , food is excellent , wish to continue improving
