Review 1：- even though the swimming pool season was over a few "prepared" sunbed-chairs next to the pool would have been nice to enjoy the sun - (no) music during breakfast (to play music is just a suggestion because it is a very small property where you have breakfast with only a few other guests which sometimes ends up in a nice conversation but sometimes in uncomfortable silence) - the smell in the house

Review 2：- it is located in the middle of the nature but is still very close to the castle and the lake - the staff is very friendly - the whole place was warm and cozy (what you cannot take for granted in houses in Portugal in autumn)

Review 5：The location is great close to Monsaraz and Alqueva reservoir. Quietness. Susana and Vasco are excellent hosts, always attentive to our needs. They are experienced sky watchers and we were lucky enough to have great conditions for stargazing during our stay.

Review 8：It would have been good to have tea and coffee making facilities. Water was available but somewhere to make your own tea and coffee would have improved our stay however this certainly does not detract from an amazing time in any way.

Review 9：We visited here for my mothers 80th birthday celebrations. The young couple who run it are fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble. Everything about the stay was brilliant. Lots of different animals to enjoy.

Review 10：Susana and Vasco were very welcoming and helpful, and Monte Santa Catarina is breathtaking and very peaceful, just down Castelo de Monsaraz and close to the nautical centre. Everything was wonderful, highly recommend it!

Review 15：The hospitality of the owners. Dark Sky stargazing through the 1,5m telescope. The hammock, an superb place to read or just relax. Excellent breakfast. The Monsaraz castle town is a walk into the past. Local restaurant are cheap and very good. The kangoroe and others animals.

Review 17：Suzana and Vasco were amazing hosts and made their home feel like our home. The villa and it's surroundings are amazing and so convenient for the places of interest to visit. It was quiet and peaceful and there was everything you needed to enjoy your stay. The meerkats, deer, wallaby, llamas and other pets were so interesting and the Dark Sky experience was unique. Suzanna and Vasco are so knowledgeable and enthusiastic! We felt really sad to leave and hope to return at some time in the future.

Review 18：The property was 'SO' clean. I don't use bath towel from any hotel, but, i make it an exceptional at this property. Everything in Monte Santa Catarina smell so good, so aromatic (natural aromatic). The view was spectacular with the farm, the medieval castelo. It is also very quiet. We love the breakfast so much, simple and yet full of satisfaction, i specially love the orange juice, i still remember the taste and i can feel the juice is running down slowly from my mouth to the throat every time i think of it. Can't wait to go back there..

Review 19：We loved the peace and tranquility, the animals, the pool, the stars at night and the opportunity to lie on the terrace and look at the stars. Susana was so friendly and helpful and we enjoyed a lovely long conversation with her. Our daughter loved the cats and meerkats! Locally sourced breakfast was lovely. We would love to come back sometime and would recommend this place to anyone.

Review 21：Vasco and Susanna, the owners, made us feel at home. The location is wonderful: in the country side, just below the castel and citadel of Montsaraz. The area is recognized from Unesco to be on the Dark Sky Route and Vasco organizes night sessions of sky observation with a professional telescope. Our accomodation was very comfortable: a double bedroom with a patio on the garden, silent and furnished with nice taste. The breakfast is homemade (fresh bred, fresh-squeezed orange juice, homemade cakes) and tasteful.

Review 34：The shower temperature fluctuated quite a bit. It would have been nice to have wifi inside, but it worked okay out near the pool. The most unfortunate thing was that the pool was not very inviting, with lots of bugs at the bottom.

Itfelt like they could not go far enough in making the stay pleasant forus, including getting a restaurant in town to stay open late for us toget a bite when we arrived late. Breakfast was fantastic, with freshbread, cake and freshly pressed orange juice. And both the area and thehouse is quiet, relaxing and beautiful. We would probably travel back toMonsaraz just to stay here again!
