Review 1：Felt like the neighborhood was a bit unsafe because there is a big gate that closes the hostel. I guess that's good they have the gate though!

Review 7：It was somewhat impersonal, the wooden floor looks amazing but the loud nose it makes when somebody walks there is not that great. I missed curtains in my room to make it darker. Even though it's a very quiet area, my room was a bit noisy because of a generator in another building. But all in all, it is a nice place to stay.

Review 10：The place is beautifully decorated, you can order a taxi to the airport, rent a towel, get your laundry done. This hostel looks more like hotel with bunk beds.

Review 11：No towels in the overstay included, each would have cost 10 € - poor service!!! Our room did not have any cupboards or hanging options. And the noise of a machine right beside the window and the dirty air condition did not make it better.

Room was stuffy with single window with minimal ventilation. had to keep it open to breath at night, mosquitoes came in. thin walls, was entertained by couple next door having loud sex. bathroom is dirty, floors never cleaned. shower level present on 1/3 showers...still falls off. 1/3 showers operates, but disgusting to touch anywhere. during load shedding staff was happily sitting with candles. rest of the hostel was pitch black...After I complained about the ventilation, the staff suggested I go check out the attic room: a disaster. Pipes coming out of places, dust all over the floor, the bed is disgusting. They expected me to pay more for a disgusting and totally disorganized room.When I checked in, the staff did not do anything to orient me regarding the hotel. Location of kitchen, available amenities etc. I had to wander to discover things.

Review 17：Location is good, everything else is horrible. Please go to this hostel if you like to be thoroughly neglected by staff, scammed, and like claustrophobic, unbreathable spaces with dirty washrooms.

Review 20：15 underage kids were staying at backpackers the same days as our party. They stayed 2 to a bed, trashed the bathrooms, were loud and unruly all night long. Management did not control these youths. Many other guests left early

Review 22：Two guys chasing eachother through the hostel with an airgun that fired little plastic balls which apparently really hurt when they hit a human target. Coming from Europe, the whole weapon thing is not familiar to us and we really didn't get how shooting indoors with other people around could be fun!

Review 23：The hostel was in a great location just off the popular Long Street and we could walk everywhere easily. The staff was helpful but the room was so incredibly loud that you could hear every step and every cough in the hallway or next door. Apart from that, we slept well.

Review 24：Small room for a seven day stay, we couldve been given a better room which i viewed later on in the week. Lots of noise in the property...you can hear everything that the people in the next room are up to (very unpleasant).

Review 63：Location scary, too dark at night, in the morning all the hobos placed their laggages next to the place. The flooring was to noisy. The female bathroom was in the floor 1st floor which was not locked with the showers not having doors. I had a gentleman that kept on knocking on the door at night and even attempted to open the lock. I had to call the lady at the reception to deal with him. Slept the rest of the night in fear. But he didn't disturb me again. The other night was uneventful. Didn't even have a proper invoice on checking out from the hotel. Was informed about settling the outstanding amount on checking in.

Review 65：We decided to stay there because they specified wifi is available in all areas including rooms. It is not true. I had a very unpleasant discussion with the guy at the reception on that. He admitted that wifi works only on the first floor close to their computers. Also, the toilets were dirty most of the time. It might help if they installed urinals. The kitchen was very noisy which made people watching the TV make it even more noisy. The TV in the room was not working at all.

The staff didn't know much information to give directions on nearby services and were confused to give back a towel refund when checking out, so don't make verbal, non-standard agreements with the staff as the others won't be able to keep it.
