Review 1：A veteran leisure travelers, we can say this was undoubtedly tone of thetop B&B's in Portugal. Amazingly value for money too. Extremelyfriendly with a personal touch but remained discrete. Breakfast was thebest breakfast in Portugal. We were there in winter, and they made afire for us, turned down the beds with chocolates and hot water bottles.Quality furnishings and comfortable bed, close to an interesting castlein a beautiful area. It was self catering, but they even ordered us takeaways. The ultimate place to get away and relax.

Review 3：The staff kindness. We arrived late in the evening and they gave us food for our dinner. The fireplace lighted on every evening. The beautiful garden and pool. And simply the quietness and beauty of the area, easy to hike, feels so relaxing. Really recommend the place.

Review 4：Maybe a too soft mattress and unstable bed. No fridge in the room. Poor WiFi signal, at least in our room.

Review 6：The rooms are confortable, fully air-conditioned (heater!) and beautifully and tastefully designed. Sleep like kings and queens in super-cosy beds! The cottage is located in short distance to Monsarraz and Barragem de Alqueva. Ana, the manager, is a lovely and very considerate person. Absolutely relaxing and joyful! Highly recommended!

Review 7：Perhaps the signage could be better for the property, as we arrived just after dark and had a little difficulty finding the place - but more the fault of google maps putting the pin in the wrong place which didn't help. We rang to check and the woman was very helpful and called back to check we were back on track. Best to use the GPS coordinates for the property or when coming downhill from the big carpark/viewpoint outside Monsaraz, take a right at the first roundabout, then a left turn.

Review 8：We took a late booking, which was great value for money and it was a memorable place to come and stay. The room was beautiful, both in decoration style and amenities provided. It's a short drive to Monsaraz old town on the hilltop where we had dinner (and worth a walk around at night when all the buildings are lit up). It was a nice touch when we returned from dinner that a candle lantern was burning outside the room and the bed had been turned down with chocolates left. Breakfast was just superb and we lingered in the lovely b'fast room for far longer than intended. Friendly helpful staff also, so all round I'd highly recommend this place as a peaceful location to spend the night.
