Review 1：The staff are not very competent and are unreliable. Due to a cyclingaccident I stayed an extra night. As the price was good and the trip tothe airport from there good, I booked for my last night in Porto. Iasked if I should pay now or when I returned. They didn't mind but Ithought it would be easier to make one payment. It would also reserve myplace. When I returned a day later they had no booking for me and saidthey assumed it was for the previous night. They found a room for mewhich was a relief but they insisted on payment. As I had no evidence Ihad to pay. They then damaged my credit card so I had to pay by cash andI was also without a card for a week. Best to book through booking.comalthough they charged 2 euros less for a direct booking.The breakfast is very poor and is matched by the service. Coming down the stairs from the second floor the ceiling is very low and if you are over 6ft you could take a very nasty bang on the head. There is no warning about this and when mentioned t was just dismissed

The staff did not speak Englishbut were very helpful, and if there was something important to beresolved, they invited you back behind the front desk to type yourquestions into a translator so they could communicate. Just a block awayis a great restaurant: Sergio Crivelli's RistoranteItaliano...Sergio was an awesome host!!!

Review 32：I simply loved the place! Very friendly staff, very clean room and great location. It offered me exactly what I needed: comfort, internet connection and pleasant atmosphere. I highly recommend D'El Rei hotel!

Review 33：Few of the staff could communicate in English, French, or Spanish & were not very pleasant or helpful. The system using the local car park was not explained well, difficult to understand which park to use. You need to keep ticket used for entry (however many days you are there), we didn't! Breakfast was poor; orange juice, coffee, ham, cheese - all very inferior quality. The cafe near the metro stop, on the corner, is much better. The beds were not very comfortable. If going again I would choose the same location but a different hotel.

Review 34：Good location, metro into Porto convenient. Near beach & road with lots of cafes/restaurants grilling sardines, other fish & steaks - authentic & not expensive. Walk towards the car park, turn left towards the beach & several streets down - you'll smell the BBQ's (after approx 8pm.)

Review 35：The staff is great, so optimistic people! They really enjoy helpingothers even if they don't know a word in English :-) Breakfasts were ok,always fresh. Room was cleaning every day. The hotel has great location- metro station is 2 minutes by foot, ocean - 5 minutes. I'm planning tovisit that place again!
