Review 1：Part of the terraces in this pension offers you a view on... an unfinished building. Not directly their fault but it's a pity. Breakfast is really not exceptional...

Review 3：The breakfast was a very basic unimaginative serve yourself. Requested a seaview with balcony room when booking months in advance. Were given a room without balcony and a seaview through the fire escape which was right in front of the window. Room was right above kitchen which was very noisy until quite late at night.

Review 5：Our room was turned to a building in construction... Apart from it, the staff wasn't nice at all during the breakfast. We think it's a bit too expensive for what it is but maybe it's one of the best options in Porto Moniz!

Review 13：I asked for a room in the upper floor with a big bed and I get a twin room in the lower floor. I got the seaview, but partially obstructed with stairs leading to the terrace. Everybody can look into my room ... I do not understand well their decision because the hotel was far from full.

Review 14：View from the room on the destroyed building. Cold room (we were in the mid January and got frozen!) No air conditioner in the room. Specific smell in the room and hotel. No wi-fi in the room. Stuff could not be even bothered to smile.

Review 19：The hotel has an amazing location in a walking distance from natural swimming pools and mountains. Our advice - check also the non-paid pools nearby (approximately 200m to the right from the paid pool) from which the view is much more spectacular than the paid one. The staff was friendly, English speaking. Room was very comfortable, clean with spacious bathroom and big bath. Breakfast was also very good. We really enjoyed our stay!

Review 21：Wonderful location, great price. Just across the road from the natural pools. Very quiet. The supermarket is 50 metres away. The sun terrace and some of the bedrooms have a view of the rocks and sea, very dramatic.

Review 24：I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. It is located opposite to the swimming pools with beautiful views over the sea. Room was big and comfortable, very clean, with balcony, everyday service. Great breakfast with variety of food. For the price it seemed unreal to stay in such a place. There is no wifi in the rooms but it is standard in Madeira. Wifi is always available only in the lobby so I didn’t expect to have connection in the room. I would recommend this to anyone who doesn’t want to spend too much and yet live in comfort.

Review 41：Excellent location. Especially if you travel with public transport. This hotel located in the center of Porto Moniz, facing the ocean and volcanic pools. The bus at 9 am from Funchal and at 4 pm to Funchal stops beside. Comfortable and modern hotel. Helpful, very polite and welcoming staff. Our room was really nice with balcony and view on the ocean. It was cleaned every day. Breakfast was huge, nice served and very good. With ham, cheese, bread, rolls, juice, fruits, jogurt. Free baggage storage.

Fortunately a waiter from the restaurant noticed me after some time and came to help me Parking may not be always free,there is a limited space nearby. Porto Moniz is lying deep down high cliffs, facing north, so the sun quickly disappears behind the mountains in this time of year.

Free public parking close to hotel. De natural piscinas in the lavafields in front of the hotel were great to watch and swim in, even this time of year. The little aquarium in the fort east of town is worth a visit. The levadawalk nearby in Ribeira da Janela is fantastic !

Review 48：Dirty windows - as I can guess it is because ocean is very close, and salt is covering them quickly, nevertheless, I wanted to enjoy the view through the clean windows.
