Review 1：As previous posters have mentioned, you can hear the tram on the street outside, which is quite noisy. Our daughter forgot her teddy bear at the hotel which was our biggest regret, although by no means the hotel's fault. We recommend this hotel without hesitation!

Review 2：This is a lovely hotel that has been decorated with taste and a nice blend of modern and classic. Our room had a very new-looking bathroom (although the sink was on the small side in terms of practicality) and was a good size overall. The man on the reception (and at breakfast the next morning) was friendly and helpful. He gave us a great suggestion for dinner nearby. Breakfast was good. The hotel offers excellent value for money and we really liked the feel of the neighbourhood.

Review 3：Nice location, simple with no fus. very close to metro stop and lots of places to eat. Short walk to the beach. Really nice and friendly staff. Breakfast ok, but it maybe better to pop out to one of the nearby cafes. Had no problem with noise from the street, slept with window open overlooking the main road.

Review 4：The residência is surprisingly nice! Very clean and comfortable and very nice staff. Quite central. Very easy to get to (metro directly from Campanhã and only a few meters from the metro stop).

Review 14：- Very friendly and family staff to whom you can ask eveything (even the meteo) - Everything was clean (windows,bed, furniture, bathroom...) - I asked for an off-center quiet room to have rest and I had it - Cleaning made everyday (with special towel design everyday + it is important in the bathrooom, because like every harbour city, the sewerage system is particular) - Breakfast qualitative and hearty - Quiet and typical old fishermen area - Street and area with a lot of shops and fish restaurants near (fish restaurant in the perpendicular street which belongs to the family + I discovered in this street a great vegetarian restaurant Pe d'Arroz) - Near a the Porto Metro station (which more look like a big tram in fact) ; you can go to the center of Porto in 20-25 min (ideal to choose what you want to see in the center) - There are buses stops, bus along the beach, you can come back from the center of Porto in 35-40 min (good tip to see easily Porto by night) - At 7 min walking to go to the beach -TV (to see vernacular news or programme) - You can come with children, there are also toys for them

Review 15：Our group of friends was split up in 3 different hotels even though we booked all in one hotel, our hotel did not have the standard we expected. The bathroom door could not be closed and the smell in the room was very unpleasant, there was not even a bin, the staff did not speak a word of English, we booked breakfast but there was nothing included. One night we came to our room and the key was in the door from the outside, so that anyone could have entered. I cannot recommend this place at all.

Review 18：It' frustrating that we came at 23.00 at the hotel and that we had to go to a pensao- the bedroom there was very very small and the beds terrible. The lady of the pensao was very nice, but we booked the hotel, not the pensao!!!

Review 19：Staff were lovely and ambiance and decoration great. But do bear in mind it is pension not a 5 star hotel. The fish restaurant area is fab, and only a few hundred yards away. the train into the city stops about 100 yards away.

Review 20：Noisy until very late at night with people talking loudly in the street, trams going right past the window (quite literally) until 1am, no a/c so had to open the window - very hot and sticky and slept badly both nights. No parking, had to use the multi story 100m away which was fine, if a little expensive. Would have been fine with decent double glazing for sound proofing and some a/c or even a fan.

Review 21：Location ten minute walk to the docks with all the fabulous little fish restaurants at bargain prices. Handy for public transport - tram stop 100m away. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast fine, tea better than the coffee.

Review 23：Trams running passed hotel until early hours of the morning. Being overcharged for 4 glasses of vino tinto in bar ie 17€ Arrived on a sunday. No restaurant so we had difficulty finding a vegetarian meal in the town.

Do not be fooled by the distance from the center - comfortable tram will take you to the center in 30 minutes. Since usually people are fooled by that, the price of the room is disproportionally low. Review 47：We arrived, were able to check the room before we needed to pay. To the beach its just 5 minutes walking. Breakfast was served to the table. Fresh great coffee and Bread-rolls. Room gets cleaned every day. Fresh towels nicely arranged on the bed. Helpful stuff about any information you need :-)

Review 49：It was a charming hotel in the older part of Matosinhos. It was close to the beach, and also close to the 'metro' which actually is a tram, that brings you downtown Porto in 25 min, or to the airport in about 40 min. I liked that the rooms have a bathroom/shower. The hotels atmosphere is a pleasant old style. It's yellow façade stands out in the street, as it is one floor higher than the neighbouring buildings.

Review 50：Wi-Fi was (temporarily) out of order on the second floor, where we stayed. Had to go down to the reception to connect. The Metro (tram) passes just outside the house. We did not mind it at all. Others might perhaps. But remember it is close to the station and the city ...

Review 51：Chose Matosinhos for our visit in Porto. Great seafood restaurants and beach nearby and fast metro into the city. The staff are very helpful and speak good english. The place is neat and clean. The breakfast is simple and basic, but good enough. Extra plus for folding our towels into lovely shapes every day. Very close to Metrostation (tram). Great value for money and perfect for our needs.
