Review 3：Downstairs toilet door fell down on my friend. Room 519 has a very slippy bath and floor,and you cannot open glass door on bath to get into shower as the hand basin is in the way. As I am in my seventies I could not get into bath to have a shower.

Review 12：This was a last minute booking with no preconceptions. Straight away we loved the atmosphere (professional but friendly) and the staff genuinely lovely. We lead stressful lives and within 24 hrs we were happy relaxed with no worries. The room was big, clean and a sea view. All staff were great from the domestic to the management. Breakfast was a feast!

Review 13：Hotel was in need of some updating. Peacocks freely roaming the grounds, were a nuisance whilst lunching at outside near the pool, we never lunched there again after the first time.

Review 17：Dark rooms desperately in need of refurbishment. Would rate it as a three star hotel ideal for package tour clients of a certain age. In retrospect wish we had paid the extra and stayed at the Grand Villa Italia next door.

Review 22：The Restaurant in the evening is best to be avoided. We have eaten in there twice and both times were not happy with what was on offer. That is why we always eat out at locals restaurants to get a true flavour of Portuguese fare. The bedroom need to provide softer pillows and not the awful ones that give you a neck ache. There are no facilities in the room to make a hot drink, though a kettle may be obtained from reception. We take our own and teabags and buy milk from the supermarket.

Review 23：We have been staying at this hotel for the last four years. The breakfast buffet is fine for what it is. The rooms are pleasant and the views are wonderful.

Review 24：This is a great Hotel just on the edge of Cascais town and a very easy 5 minute walk to the centre. We had a very nice large room with sea view which was perfect. I would recommend a sea view room as these face south and therefore get the sun most of the day.

Review 25：Loved my stay here but one thing that put me off eating our lunch at the hotel was the birds/peacocks or whatever they are. Nice to see them roaming around the grass area but they came right up to bar area and up to your table scavenging for food while you are eating, which also seemed to attract pigeons. If you sat back for a second and took your eye off your food you'd have a pigeon on the table trying to get at your plate yuck. It wouldn't put me off the hotel, it was a great hotel but it was a pity you couldn't eat a bit of lunch in peace.

Review 36：Liked everything in general. The SOS phone in the bathroom - a very good idea to be followed by other hotels. Should be mandatory ! The carpeted corridors avoid the noise of clients passing by ... mainly when heading to the restaurant for meals.

Agreed to pay entire room bill for full duration and suggested that it would have been preferred had this simply been requested at check in. WiFi unreliable in our room on 6th floor. Pool not huge. Air conditioner drained onto balcony.

Review 49：The beach is about a 20min walk from the hotel and not a short walk as advertised. The wifi failed to work most of the time. I was offered an option to upgrade my room to a sea view room paying additional $. We opted for this option to only find out that the room barely had a sea view-- you basically had to be standing directly in front of the small window to see something. When I explained this to the staff, they told me that now that I am familiar with the hotel, I should ask in the future for a room with a balcony and sea view which would actually offer the view; however, even then they could not guarantee it. The staff was not friendly and in fact many times was not even knowledgeable about the area, for example, we were recommended to go a to restaurant for dinner, yet that restaurant had been closed for months.

Review 55：The WiFi didn't work well in the room, but better on the balcony and in the pool area. Strange! My omelet in the morning was made of some fluid from a bottle rather ha fresh eggs. You aren't allowed to bring room towels to the pool, but the pool attendant did stay until it closed to hand out pool towels. You have to pay 2.6 EUR per day to rent the safe in the room.

Staff hadn't changed the towels after 5 days. Put them in the bath - they stuck them back on the rails. Never again. It's sister hotel in Estoril is superb and we ate there 3 times and got Santa vittoria Gran reserva - their own wine which Cascais wouldn't get for us even after 12 days

Review 108：The pool bar was closed on 2 days of our visit. I enquired as to why and was told it was due to the bad weather forecast. The weather was absolutely fine, we spend both days sitting around the pool. We would normally take lunch here but went elsewhere. We thought this was really poor.

Review 110：The housekeeping of the exterior of the hotel leaves a lot to be desired. All pathways need to be thoroughly cleaned/power washed. Reception exterior needs a total re-vamp. The peacocks in the garden/pool area need to be removed...their defecation was everywhere (no effort was made to have it removed). This was our 5th time to stay at this hotel but I cannot see us returning.

Review 134：No variety in fruit served at Breakfast. Pool was quite small, impossible to have a swim as constantly full of children diving. Major problem with birds swooping down on tables if you ate outside at breakfast (possibly at other meals too, but we only ate breakfast at the hotel)

Review 136：1.no shop for daily papers or magazines. as there was no facility at all near the hotel. 2. one computer that did not work. 3. booked garden view, when in fact it was car park view. there is no garden view, only car park view or sea view, so i had to upgrade to sea view and paid more. i did not want to wake up every morning and look out of the balcony and see the car park. YOU NEED TO CHANGE THAT ON YOUR BOOKINGS. 4. no shuttle bus to go to the beach.
