Reviews for Tott Hotell Åre

Review 1:Late arrival to breakfast, may mean personal is working hard with refilling, and a few minutes waiting, but then again, enjoying the fantastic view from the dining hall.

Review 2:Excellent value for money; right on the slope, high quality apt-studio with possibility to cook in for dinner, generous breakfast buffet, fantastic spa-section pool, ice-pool, hot bubble pools, mixed saunas for mixed groups, seperate saunas in locker rooms. Flexibility upon arrival/departure to store luggage and access spa/showers. We loved it! Great place to stay when temperture gets harsh as it often does over xmas/new year. Up the hill side and away from the market area, but only a 10-15 minutes quick walk through lit-up path in woods.

Review 3:The Deluxe Room does not have a microwave oven. The kitchen space is 1 cupboard width narrower. The basin is so small that only cups can be placed in the basin, not even small plates. The bathroom does not have heated flooring. The heating bars in bathroom were not working and maintenance came and confirmed it was faulty.

Review 4:We stayed 3N at Standard and 2N at Deluxe. The Standard Room though much smaller with bar counter & 2 stools had better kitchen space and a microwave oven to boot. The bathroom has heated flooring and spacious. The bed had one side sticking to the wall which is inconvenient for the person sleeping next to the wall. The Deluxe Room was much bigger with a dining table & 4 padded chairs and a large sofa & equal length coffee table. There was also a music player & TV placed on a console with drawers.

Review 5:Not really a bad experience but Swedes like to party on Fridays and Saturdays so be prepared for a lively stay!

Review 6:Friendly staff, great frukost, spacious and comfortable room with plenty of storage. Great shower and plenty of room to dry ski kit in bathroom with its underfloor heating. Brilliant location ideal for Åre ski slopes with a bridge link to its own lift. The VM6/Kabinbana hub is only 5 minutes skiing away. Åre centre is a short walk away or the Bergbana stops 200m from the front door

Review 7:The location is fantastic with a ski in ski out facility and a fantastic run back to the hotel, the staff are fresh and helpful with any request.. On my second day of a 4 day holiday I broke my ankle from a ski accident.. And all the staff were very attentive to help with the condition. The hotel even refunded the stay that I diddnt use as I left 2 days early

Review 8:Wrong information about the hotel being close to the slopes suitable for children when booking.

Review 9:Friendly staff in the restaurant Food for breakfast excellent Access to Gym and to pools

Review 10:Cleaning service was not very careful

Review 11:Spacy and well equipped room, excellent view to the lake and city. Located close to the hills. Gym, pool and sauna available.

Review 12:Surprisingly nothing

Review 13:Freshly renovated rooms (we had a very spacious one) Nice interior, great view from the restaurant Very good breakfast Friendly and helpful staff at reception desk and in the restaurant Very convenient location Swimming pool looked nice, unfortunately didn't have a chance to try (I was a bit sick) Really good pizza at Gute Grill

Review 14:No room cleaning a full week. No towel change. By far to less staff for the breakfast, so we had to clean a table to get a seat. Closed sauna in dressing rooms, sauna in pool are was open.

Review 15:Connection to the slopes via bridge direct from the hotel. Kitchenette in the room. Overall style of the hotel. Good Bar and Restaurant.

Review 16:The toilet flushing system was leaking and bedroom window has cracks. There were no toiletries in the bathroom other than a handwash and shampoo at the shower area.

Review 17:The reception staff are friendly and helpful. Restaurant has a great view.

Review 18:no hair dryer in room, we had to ask and took the last one. The receiptionist at the day of arrival was not very helpful, while next day another receptionist was very nice and well informed about Are opportunities. Not clear why they charge full amount for the whole stay one day before arrival.

Review 19:Breakfast, nice lake view

Review 20:Hotel looks very old, rooms are small, cooking facilities are limited and not convenient in use. No secure place to store skis.

Review 21:not cleaned room, even first day when we checked in.

Review 22:breakfast and location (for skiers only) might be considered as good side of this hotel

Review 23:The bed was to soft

Review 24:Location,

Review 25:Great view and access to the mountains!

Review 26:The room with the bunkbeds should have a window to the outside

Review 27:Bit dated up one end, small studios are not good. Would not stay in them again.

Review 28:Location ,staff, facilities , ski in ski out.

Review 29:The spa and relax. And the fine weather

Review 30:Wifi didn't work at the room

Review 31:Everything

Review 32:Poor food in the restaurant

Review 33:Location to the downhills

Review 34:Location very nice!

Review 35:no hair dryer in the room, uncomfortable bed in Economy room

Review 36:close to ski slops, good breakfast

Review 37:Parking with extra cost

Review 38:Good breakfast, excellent location, nice spa, Skistar shop

Review 39:WiFi not very reliable. Pool and sauna not warm enough. Broken heating in the room, staff brought a portable heater though.

Review 40:Friendly and helpful staff. Right on the slope. Good breakfast.

Review 41:We would have liked some of the literature to be in English but the staff were excellent and would help with any language issues

Review 42:This is the second time we have stayed at the tott and we all really enjoyed our stay. I used the spa and had a fantastic massage.

Review 43:The hotel would do well by spending a couple of months to hire a decorator and paint some walls - it seems out of date and there is a mix of styles even within the same room (dining area) There is no free entertainment for children, it is all coin-up machines.

Review 44:nice staff, spa open all day, nice room at a good deal. A good deal of skiing history in the hotel, I like that.

Review 45:Children without parents in the swimming pool. Waiting more than 2 hours to buy ski lifts tickets in the local sports shop. Snow (lack of it) and very icy trails (nothing to do with the hotel though). Walking path to town also icy. No ski bus stop close to the hotel.

Review 46:Good breakfast buffet. Spa open all day long. Budget room was surprisingly comfortable.

Review 47:Understaffed, empty reception in the evenings, probably due to early in the season.

Review 48:Nice, clean and modern hotel. Very close to everything, lifts, city, restaurants.

Review 49:The room was great. I got a nice, clean and newly renovated room in the old building. The hotel as a lovely location, could not ask for more of a ski hotel. Restaurant and breakfast also of high quality but with limited menu in pre-season which is fully acceptable.

Review 50:As it was off season the hotel bar was not open and no food or beverages could be bought when I arrived quite late one evening. Maybe just have some food or chips or whatever for sale so you dont have to walk all the way down to town.

Review 51:The personal was very helpful and friendly. Room was nicely cleaned. Nice and quiet rooms. Wonderful view from the hotel!!

Review 52:Bar not open to residents outside restaurant opening hours, we returned to the hotel from an evening in Åre but could not get a drink from the bar, at 9.30 pm!!!!

Review 53:Good location with great views

Review 54:Short sections of the walk to town are steep and can be tricky when icy and not gritted (not hotel's fault), particularly one bit near a pedestrian tunnel. Some kind of handrail (even a rope) should be provided by the authorities.

Review 55:Great staff, excellent location right by skilift and a short walk to town.

Review 56:-The pool needs lighting (too dark to swim). -Hot tub’s need more heat :)

Review 57:-Access to slopes/skiing -Buffed dinner -Breakfast with special food - like lactose free, gluten free...

Review 58:Quite small rooms and bed that sounded as soon as you moved. Easy to hear partying people on floors above.

Review 59:The location was perfect with nice view from the room, restuarant and spa. The restaurant served very good food for the money. The staff was very helpful and positive.

Review 60:There should be WiFi everywhere, but we stayed at room 229, but the WiFi does not at least work in that room. So, if you need it check into some other room.

Review 61:Convenient location to go skiing, and near the city centre. Skirentals downstairs. Good breakfast and spacious lobby / bar area to sit down.

Review 62:We had booked a room for four people (two bedrooms). We knew that the one bedroom was small, but we did not know that it had no window and quickly got very hot indeed.

Review 63:ski in/out - skishop at the hotel - great lunch - excellent value for money

Review 64:Cleaning could be more thorough we asked for a hoover ourselves eventually!

Review 65:The location is fantastic - we had views of the slopes and the lake. The pool and gym were excellent and open 6-9 and the views again from pool and gym were spectacular. Breakfast was extensive choice of foods both hot and cold. Ski in and out was very convenient and only short walk to town or you could get a little train to town or up to a lively bar up the mountain.

Review 66:The rooms were a little small, but it doesn't matter because in Are you don't spend too much time in the room anyway!

Review 67:We loved the location of the hotel. The pool/sauna area is nice, the views to the ski mountain are great. The hotel staff was very helpful. The rooms are small, but have mini kitchens so you don't have to eat every meal out, which is nice. Great value for the location and service!

Review 68:First of all the room is very very small, there is no bad but a couch you use as bad. The room was on flor lever with the street in front of the windows. You have to close the blind to have privacy. In front of the window there was a very strong light and during the night even with the blind closed was impossible to sleep. But the worst was that I unluckily I forgot my room key in the room. Well the reception close at 20.00 so nobody was there to open me the door of the hotel and give a new key. It was a nightmare with the help of a friend I was able to talk with someone by phone and they give a code to open a locker with some room keys so I was able to enter but in another room... with out my personal things. I think this is very bad can you immagine if I had something important like medicine in my room... And they did not come to clean the room for 2 days I was there. Never again.

Review 69:Rooms are pretty small if compared to prices. Of course this is åre (andSweden) so we weren't expecting anything cheap, yet they could have beena bit larger.

Review 70:Tott hotel is just the perfect solution for skiers. Being able to accessthe lifts by just taking an elevator to the fourth floor is amazing. Addthe in-house Skistar shop providing rentals and skipass and you canunderstand how the hotel is perfect for anyone wanting to enjoy åre'swinter sports facilities with the least effort.Otherwise the hotel is quite ordinary, 5 minutes walking distance from the main square, with a good view over the town and lake and normal-to-good amenities.

Review 71:Expensive for one night

Review 72:Seemed to be new an very nice

Review 73:Staff were aloof and uninformed.

Review 74:Location, decoration and comfort.

Review 75:Loud music

Review 76:Breakfast

Review 77:good location ,skiing enjoyable!

Review 78:Was charged full amount for the room over a month in advance without notification.

Review 79:Buffet Breakfast is Excellent. Hotel is by a ski lift

Review 80:good location goo service

Review 81:Very noisy at night with music from other rooms. Breakfast was pretty basic. No hair dryer in room.

Review 82:Good location.

Review 83:breakfast, NO WIFI (it is first time when I cannot connect well. Bad connection)

Review 84:Location, SPA

Review 85:That the reserved money is not released at the same time as you pay your bill.

Review 86:Some of the Staff is very unfriendly

Review 87:Location, Food, Spa

Review 88:Hardly can we think of any drawbacks

Review 89:Cosy and friendly atmosphere. We are looking forward to returning again to this wonderful place
