Review 1：Big and very comfortable room with antique furniture and decoration. The very good breakfast was served next doors in a little cafeteria belonging to the owners of the hotel. Very friendly and warmhearted owners who made us feel at home.
Review 2：passport disappeared for a day rather than be photocopied and immediately returned as happened elsewhere. Although we had a room key we needed to ring the door bell to gain entrance to the house which felt like we were intruding. Guarda on a wet windy day has a desolate air about it and the Historic centre feels very unloved and neglected yet has so much potential.
Review 3：mixed views on this place. The building is amazing and furnished with tasteful antiques. It is set across the road from the cathedral in historic Guarda at the top of the highest city in Portugal. Breakfast is in the traditional cafe next door and is plentiful.
