Reviews for Mountain Inn at Killington
Review 1:Rooms are ridiculously small & bathooms are terrible. No hot breakfast...just a carb fest Price is way too high for the accommodations
Review 2:Close to Mountain
Review 3:Musty smell in the room. Over scented room. Musty smell in dining (breakfast) area. Very outdated property. Flat hard pillows. Poor breakfast. Lots of noise from the surrounding rooms. OK in a pinch but would not recommend or come back to.
Review 4:Friendly staff at check-in, breakfast, and checkout.
Review 5:The continental breakfast could have fruit, gluten free options, oatmeal, bacon or sausage. There was a smell to the room and it was way to warm, even with the window open.
Review 6:Building was close to Sparten race venue. Staff was friendly and helpful
Review 7:The hotel was outdated. The pillows were flat, and when we asked for another, were told that they did not have any. There was no air conditioning in the room, only a noisy / wobbly overhead fan. The on-site restaurant only had one waitress and a bartender working the night we arrived. People were walking out of the restaurant due to the poor service and long waits. For the price, this hotel was definitely not worth it.
Review 8:The location was good / close to the mountain
Review 9:The only downfall to this hotel is the resteraunt and bar. The drink selection is good but the area is crowded with junk and there were no tips on any of the pool sticks. As for the food we have never tried it. However, I travel every week for work and I have learned that if a resteraunt is completely empty it's usually for good reason. Also the prices are very high compared to soronding dining. You almost get the sense that the resteraunt operator doesn't care about the place or the customers.
Review 10:We have stayed in this hotel for two years now and absolutely love it. The heated pool is very nice after a long day of sking followed by the fireplaces in the rooms. I couldn't ask for anything else. Finally, the staff here is absolutely phenomenal, the owner is usually working the front desk and truely makes you feel welcome.
Review 11:Steakhouse was very expensive for "okay" food.Bed was not very comfortable.
Review 12:There was a tavern and restaurant attached to the Inn. Tavern has friendly staff and great food. Great band on Saturday night. Fireplace in room was amazing. Staff was extra friendly.
Review 13:Hotel in need of renovation. We had upgrade to room with balcony, think we were only guests. Very poor show for breakfast which was a stand up affair in reception. Coffee from flask. Three bagels that had seen better days, some old bread, and half jug of orange. The reception guy was from India, but he tried his best. helpful.Chose this hotel because restaurant was attached, but it was closed on the night we stayed there.
Review 14:Location. Near to other hotels and restaurants. Great views from the gondola on ski lift.
Review 15:Door dead bolt didn't work and the mattress was the Hardest mattress I've ever sleep on ! If mattress was a good pillow top maybe I would have stayed longer .
Review 16:Staff was very polite and location was perfect .
Review 17:"Year round pool" closed for season! - Wanted pool :( Free breakfast (factor in choosing Inn) SUCKED. Dated rooms. wall had poorly repaired hole. Paper thin walls, doors. Smelled damp musty. Fridge gross. Overall didn't feel/look "sparkly clean". No coffee for coffee maker.
Review 18:Last minute room available. Great location. Friendly staff.
Review 19:The only thing I would change would be to add an elevator.
Review 20:Excellent view of the mountain. Clean room with a fireplace. Staff was very friendly and able to answer all the questions we had. We will be back here next year.
Review 21:Pictures show it better looked more inviting on site steak house and bar not even open possible new owners I don't know but I don't think it's run very well forgot my toothbrush most places have them just in case no ac in the room very hot couldn't sleep I now a lot of places there are big winter places but come on your an in if your open in the summer you need ac don't think I will stay there again.
Review 22:breakfast service was inadequate and had declined since my previous stay 2 months prior, pool table was broken
Review 23:location, ambiance or the property in general, although it was 'dated' nice pool
Review 24:Dated no hot tub- how is that possible at a ski resort. Don't letthe outdoor 'heated' pool fool you !
Review 25:Location is great, bar with music was a surprise
Review 26:It was a loud place there was a lot of college age kids on our floor for the Super Bowl but that's just the luck of the draw and was fine with us
Review 27:Location and value
Review 28:Place is amazing! Love being this close to the mountain and close to all the shops and restaurants in town!
Review 29:The man at the front desk was very nice.
Review 30:Very old and maintained badly. bad odder.
Review 31:The inn is located at a ski resort.
Review 32:Great stay. The rooms and building were very clean and staff very helpful and polite.
Review 33:Poor value for cost of the room
Review 34:Location
Review 35:Covered outdoor smoking areas could be provided for the benefit and comfort of those who enjoy the (disgusting!) habit.
Review 36:Clean and comfortable room.
Review 37:The place could use a little moderation
Review 38:Location is fantastic and I love the outdoor heated pool
Review 39:The steakhouse was good The Bar was better especially Kat's singing
Review 40:Only the third floor electricity was on, and that was just in certainplaces. The "den" had no power.. We tried to go into the pool room- locked, the game room - locked, the restaurant was closed. The only thing we could do was go to our room. Usually not a problem as we like to explore, but since it was November in Vermont, the options were limited. Also, it smelt like bananas..
Review 41:Fireplace was cool, good location if you wanted to ski.
Review 42:the food was terrible and over priced ordered prime rib for $35 and it was 1/3 fat and appeared to be microwaved, returned it to get beef stew, extremely salty tasting, though it came from a can, very disappointed in meal
Review 43:Denfinitly a bargain hotel at too high a price, only saving grace was itwas very clean and u could walk to the slopes. Pool was only open for 3hours during my stay, continentental breakfast was crap! One coffecrafe, not refilled in a timely manner. Eggs were frozen, when sausageran out 15 min Into breakfast it was not refilled. Will not be stayinghere again. Advertised with "large flat screen tv"- the tv inmy "deluxe" room was a 20" zenith from 1985. I wouldrecommend lillington but not this hotel, better to call it a motel
Review 44:Very clean, staff friendly, food at restaurant very good
Review 45:Decor slightly tired looking, but clean and well presented
Review 46:Excellent friendly and helpful staff, in particular the front desk. Ideal location a short walk from the slopes and close to shops and restaurants
Review 47:Hotel is very close to the mountin. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Everything is quite outdated but it's all clean. There is a nice big bar, great outdoor heated pool and a dry sauna. We didn't need much more then that for our short trip. It is really hard to beat the location, we walked to the lifts every morning.
Review 48:Water in the hot tub which is located outside was barely warm. Hotel staff for money saving reasons keeps sauna shut off, so have to wait about 45min to be able to use it.
Review 49:The only think I could say is that the breakfast is very simple withlittle options, but for me is was more than enough.
Review 50:Simple hotel with great staff, great location, rooms were always veryclean and with a good size. Perfect for who is going to a skivacation. The bar and restaurant at the hotel were great!!!!! I wouldbe back for sure!!!!
Review 51:you hear all your nighbors
Review 52:The location of the hotel is very good, its close to the lift and to the bars, restaurants etc. However the rooms are very loud. I was hearing every step from my nighbor above me the whole night.
Review 53:pillows were terrible
Review 54:The place is designed to accommadate skiers with a room to store your skiis, breakfast right there and then hop on the shuttle for a 5 minute ride to slopes. On site restaurant and bar with entertainment very convenient, as well as shuttle to other restaurants.
Review 55:This was my second stay with the Inn and I enjoyed both stays. The roomsare clean and comfortable. The staff is more that helpful and friendly, especially Mr. Chirag Patel at the front desk who helped bail us outwith our lift tickets (no comformation receipt). Thanks again Chirag. The front door of the Inn is less than a half mile from the lift atRamshead, so convenient and being first up on the lift. If there is moresnow befopre the end of the year I will be back again before the year isout. The Inn is a great place with a great price. Thank you.
