Review 1：the shower was broken; there was no heating in the restaurant, so it was freezing there. only breakfast available

Review 3：We were travelling through Portugal and needed a night to stay in Guarda. The place is right in the centre, plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. We managed to park closeby, but I guess that is down to luck. The room was fine, but the blankets on the beds were old fashioned and very very heavy!! Because we were there in the winter and it was very cold outside, it was not easy to get warm. The bedlinnen was the problem, but this is totally no issue on warm (summer) nights. Breakfast was very basic. But the price was cheap and fair.

Review 5：Nice owner. We asked for a restaurant recommendation and he walked us over to a nice place and spoke to the owner overcoming some of the language barrier.
Review 6：We got free parking down the road from the hotel. Restaurants within walking distance. Nice room, with 2 bedrooms, suitable for a family or friends.
Review 7：Sat-Nav did not work for us, we entered the co-ordinates as supplied on the booking.com page but ended up in a field. Street address was not much better, but we found it eventually.
Review 8：We took a one week fly-drive vacation, to tour some of the battlefields of Peninsular War of 1808-1814. We did 1800km, seven hotels. All were fine, different to each other but comfortable and good value. This one is in the eastern town of Guarda, which is high up on a hill-top. Hotel was clean, bright, quiet, comfortable, good breakfast. It was great value for money. We found a wonderful local restaurant, terrific food and atmosphere was great - and low prices!
Review 9：It is a long climb up the stairs, be aware. there seems to be more than you would expect. There is no lift. Be careful especially of the ones at the entrance - they are black marble, difficult to see and dangerous for anyone with poor eyesight or mobility. The lighting on all the stairs and passagewayscould also be improved.. The best that could be said of the staff is that they were efficient. The television lacked several stations claimed to be available. The room was cramped and the heavy dark wood wardrobe was not something to brighten up an already dowdy room. It also took up a lot of space. A squeky bed may not suit couples, or the people next door! As usual blankets and no duvet. The bathroom was also very cramped. Very much time for a refurb.
Review 10：The position couldn't be better for exploring the central city area, though it meant parking had to be searched out sme distance away. The city itself is a pleasant one. The room was warm and the wifi good.

Review 31：A bit dated but who cares, had everything you needed and was spotless, central location for touring and excellent wifi coverage even in the second floor bedroom.
Review 32：No taxi at night!! It was very cold at night and heaters was off, they turn on after my warning. I catched cold because of it. Poor breakfast.
