Reviews for Best Western Sally Port Inn & Suites

Review 1:Our bathroom had constant cold air blowing in it so it made showering and getting ready very uncomfortable in 20 degree weather

Review 2:Check in was easy and quick. Friendly staff. Great value

Review 3:plumbing for the sink in our room needed work so i informed front desk. (no problem) some kind of water leak in the hall which was presumably being taken care of. plowing the snow in the parking lot was slow in coming. (not complaining)

Review 4:staff was very nice. breakfast time too short so missed that. an ok somewhat "older"? ?place....nothing distinctive about the place which we have come to expect from BW locations and why we try them, so not much fun at this location (tho some might point out the indoor pool/open area) and i don't think the one across the st. was much better. (not complaining, just making note: the stay was fine!!) we are just not happy with normal or average.

Review 5:I didn't like that the hotel did not had or hired the equipment to clean the ice from the front of the hotel.

Review 6:I was stranded at Roswell, NM with my family due to a snow storm, and we received excellent customer service.

Review 7:The hotel had a light sewage type smell in the hallway. Not strong, so I suspect the problem was addressed and carpets cleaned, but maybe carpets need replaced or something. Not sure.

Review 8:The staff and breakfast were wonderful. We loved that they made us feel at home.

Review 9:The toilet didn't work and the bathroom needs a remodel. Front desk staff not very professional looking or acting.

Review 10:Availability of rooms on short notice

Review 11:Large empty area that looked like it wasn't finished. No bathroom near swimming area. Overall feeling of not quite completed.

Review 12:Room was huge and bed was comfortable.

Review 13:Very nice place to stay. Did not have any problems at all with checking in or out and staff was very friendly to us. I will come back for sure to Best Western Sall Port Inn

Review 14:The only complaint I have is that I wish they had a better breakfast selection. I didn't really see much that seemed very appetizing and the eggs tasted like they were boiled or microwaved and then mixed up. I would like to see the breakfast selection improve and be switched around sometimes.

Review 15:The bed was so comfortable and the room was a great size. I loved how big the beds really were and how nice everything was including the staff.

Review 16:We had the loudest group next door. They fought all night. It was multiple rooms of people. No one at the desk said or did a thing. We were too afraid of them to say anything. At 3:00 am they were screaming about their beer and money. Our bathroom was dirty and not enough towels. No one cared.

Review 17:There was nothing we did not like.

Review 18:Beautiful property. Beautiful room. Very, very clean. Busy weekend but staff was very accommodating about an early check in so we could change for a funeral. Lovely staff.

Review 19:Stuff was friendly.Clean rooms and good location.only wish stuff would tell u watch parking by golf course.my car got hit and they said happens all the time

Review 20:The room looked clean, but smelled very bad. I asked for some sort of air freshener to fix it but none was available. I had to leave and go purchase some air fresheners for our room. Also no pool towels were available and the spa wouldn't get warmer than room temperature. Won't stay here again.

Review 21:Was clean until I closed the bathroom door and there was a collection of long dark hair behind it. Hopefully it was the only bathroom that they didn't clean completely

Review 22:Nice staff, very accommodating. Decent breakfast.

Review 23:No way to make an international phone call from the room'stelephone. By eight days into my 11 days stay the rather artificiallooking scrambled eggs weren't so attractive. Because of restrictedkitchen facilities disposable plates etc. were used, which I had notassociated with a Best Western hotel; it disturbed me that there were nofacilities to recycle. But that appeared to be general in Roswell. Noway of opening a window, not even a small one at the top. The stuffysmell, when entering the room; luckily it disappeared after a few days. The anti-slip mat applied in the bath, though effective, appeared to meas a "make shift" cover up of a worn bath floor.

Review 24:Size of the room; the a/c which did not blow straight onto the headend of the bed and was relatively quiet. Staff were kind and efficient;but my attempts to re-use the towels took some perseverance to haveeffect, in spite of the notice in the bathroom. Tea & coffee makingfacilities and fridge were good; a little microwave might have even madeit better.

Review 25:We had reservations booked through booking.com- confirmed for 9/18-9/21. When we showed up we were told that the dates were for Aug.Even though we had an email from booking stating the September dates. The desk person did not want to give us a room. After a lengthyconversation and a call to the mngr. She finally put us in a suite, buttold us it would cost more. I was not going to pay more for a room and acontract that stated one thing because they screwed up. In the end, thedid not charge us. A/c never got below 75 degrees even though we hadit on 67. They locked us out of our room after first night and we had tosee mngr again.

Review 26:Breakfast was adequate.

Review 27:World's loudest ice maker located outside of our room -- I can't believe I'm actually complaining about this but it was that ridiculous. Do not stay in the room located by the ice machine on the corner of the ground-level floor. Also, put all guests with pets in a centralized area -- not sporadically. We were kept awake by a barking dog all night.

Review 28:Everything. Our complaints were circumstantial. Also, the location is across the street from a delicious Mexican restaurant.

Review 29:Convenient location near downtown and several restaurants. Wi-Fi throughout including breakfast area. Quiet at night even though right on main street.

Review 30:Went to take my 8yearold grandson and my 4 year old great grand son swimming on Sunday night for the first time during our stay, as we were leaving early Monday AM, 17 Aug; and the pool was ice cold and couldn't swim. I notified the desk at my departure.

Review 31:Rooms and breakfast were great and don't let me forget the room location was just as we wanted.

Review 32:No hot water only warm. No place to sit in or outside of the breakfast room Hot tub was only warm and filled with kids. No elevator

Review 33:Being with my grandson Can't recommend a hotel with no hot water.

Review 34:Bed was somewhat to firm, woke up with a sore back every morning. Didn't care for the breakfast, eggs tasted like they were powdered and waffles were doughy.

Review 35:Liked the room and how close it was to downtown and restaurants. Kids loved the pool.

Review 36:Wierd Smell in our room and no water pressure in the Shower.

Review 37:Breakfast was Great. Staff was very friendly and I am sure the pool was good we didnt get to try it out due to a softball tournament schedule.

Review 38:bit out of town

Review 39:Clean, spacious room. Free wifi, plenty of free off-street parking. Restaurant next door and Walgreens across the street. Good indoor pool. Breakfast was pretty good.

Review 40:I too them on the front end I needed transportation to the airport, they never relpied one way or the other so I thought they would but when I got there they said they couldn't so I was on my own to get to the airport

Review 41:Since it was Sunday we did not go to breakfast until almost 9:00 am. We should have gone to a nearby cafe. Powdered eggs are just not for me plus things were heavily picked over. I understand cost containment however.

Review 42:Everything else was great.

Review 43:Would have preferred a table & chairs rather than a desk & 1 chair. Pool was not well heated. There was a funny sulphur smell in the foyer of the room which I can only think comes from the water. The coffee had an odor of turpentine. Maybe use filtered water to make the coffee?

Review 44:Liked the free breakfast, overall quality of the room and furnishings. Loved having a fridge & microwave in room.

Review 45:Someone else's popcorn on the floor, inside door handle falling off, ice machine barely worked and one vending machine inop

Review 46:The bed was comfortable

Review 47:When we arrived the carpet in the hallway and up the stairs needed vacuuming badly. That was not a good first impression. However the room was clean.

Review 48:We asked for a quiet room with a view and were very pleased with the room we were given. However, the last night a crying baby next door was annoying and disturbing.

Review 49:Had to call front desk because bath tub would not drain. When call front desk to let them know we were going to stay another night, had to take keys to front desk because ours did not work and had to be reprogrammed

Review 50:Friendliness of employees, manager, at front desk, and house keeping were all great. Loved having restaurant on site and got to enjoy hot tub a couple of times.

Review 51:The TV connection was terrible. It kept going out throughout the entire stay. Took shower the water just stayed in tub-plumbing issues.

Review 52:The bed was comfortable.

Review 53:Cold shower and very slow drain. Was put in the back of the building and the doors did not have locks or key entry so anyone could enter the hall with the rooms. Didn't feel secure.

Review 54:Wish we could have stayed more than one night.

Review 55:The staff were friendly. Got a got referral for dinner within walking distance. Modern and clean. Nice hot breakfast. Good place to stay when visiting the Carlsbad Caverns as the oil business has inflated the price of Carlsbad's hotels.

Review 56:the facility was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. My family slept really good. This was an unexpected stay because my husband got ill on our way to Ruidoso, the staff was very accommodating.

Review 57:Beds did not appear to be Queens. They were more like Full beds in my opinion.

Review 58:Nice clean, quiet room. Comfortable beds and very clean bathroom. Centrally located on Main Street near a number of restaurants and stores. Staff was very helpful.

Review 59:Unhappy experience with self serve Guest laundry. No soap available and the machines are in bad shape.

Review 60:The pool and hot tub was perfect for us. Room was clean and comfortable.

Review 61:The rooms were perfect! My kids loved the pool. Large breakfast selection, and the attached restaurant was fantastic! We stopped over for a night on a family road trip from Kansas City to Tucson. After we left and arrived in Tucson, we realized that we had left behind my 1 year old son's favorite baby blanket. Fearing it lost forever, I called the hotel. Not only did they locate the blanket, they shipped it back to our home and it arrived there before we did! Thank you, Best Western! You're a life saver!

Review 62:Had a peculiar smell in the room, breakfast eggs were kind of funky, staff were hit and miss with helpfulness and attitude

Review 63:Air conditioning was cranked the entire time, pool and hot tub, could walk to shops and restauraunts

Review 64:The man who checked me in ordered me to park in the back after telling me that the room was in the back. He was not very friendly and NEVER spoke as I passed the front desk during my stay.

Review 65:The housekeeping staff, the dining room staff, and the ladies at the front desk were all nice and friendly.

Review 66:The steakhouse next door was a joke. They seemed to be short staffed as we saw waiters also bussing tables. They were "out" of two basic food items and the service was so slow that my food was cold. Like a frozen dinner that hadn't been microwaved all the way through.

Review 67:We were really impressed by the kindness of Olivia at the front desk. She was so helpful. The room/suite was far more than we expected...separate bedroom/living area, very clean restroom and shower. The indoor pool area was HUGE! We would stay again.

Review 68:Heater a little noise

Review 69:Nice and clean

Review 70:I got charged for s crib I never got

Review 71:Tub needs nonslip mat. Almost fell. Also needs rail

Review 72:Dated facilities and too expensive for what you get.
