Reviews for Boston Harbor Hotel

Review 1:Nothing really.

Review 2:The experience was very pleasurable. The staff was very helpful and did whatever they could to make your stay very comfortable. Booked it for a friend who wanted to propose his gf here and both of them were very happy. We didn't face any problem in decorating the room.

Review 3:Although the waiters have been extremely kind and attentive, the quality and variety of food at the restaurant was not great….

Review 4:The hotel decor, the view from the bedroom window, the impeccable service everywhere. Bar very welcoming ; antique maps in the lobby worth looking at and admiring !

Review 5:Not a complaint but a suggestion for improvement. Install Tea or Coffee facilities in rooms.

Review 6:The building itself is expansive but not overpowering, exceptionally clean and precise attention to detail. The Harbour front rooms have views to die for and the bed is just so comfortable.

Review 7:Not much and I hate to give comments about such nice hotel, however, the only thing bothered me that the room was not equipped with coffee maker, however, they compensate for that by complementary coffee at the sea grille restaurant at the lobby floor. Also, there are no smoking room, but, I think it is the state law.

Review 8:Fast check in, helpful staff, location, fast free wifi, secure, ..well a lot of good qualities. I recommend it and certainly it will be my first choice whenever I get to Boston.

Review 9:The cost

Review 10:Great location wonderful comfortable room with great view of Boston harbor. Restaurant is wonderful. My room was well designed with excellent high quality furnishings. Great bathroom.

Review 11:No coffee making facilities in the room was disappointing.

Review 12:Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and had an amazing view of Boston. The bed was comfortable, and having slippers and a bathrobe was a nice touch.

Review 13:Sleep quality was average was woken at 5.30 am on Sunday morning with flight path from airport right over our room on take off decent every few minutes . Wasn't as bad other mornings but still noisy with ferries .

Review 14:Staff were excellent very accommodating . Lovely room , very clean and comfy bed .. View absolutely amazing of the harbour . Room cleaners were amazing and exceeded expectations .

Review 15:Just one thing which was the same as the last time we were here, no coffee maker. I am aware that you can have in room service but first thing in the morning my wife and I want coffee and I don't know any woman that wants someone walking in the room when she first wakes up or wants to make her self "presentable" before her morning drink.

Review 16:Love the location, the elegance and the attentive staff. It was our 25th wedding anniversary and we were given a lovely plate of chocolate and strawberries.

Review 17:Our room was not ready when we arrived at 3pm and we had to wait.

Review 18:The location on the harbor and close to town. The Rowes Wharf Restaurant was excellent.

Review 19:My room was not ready upon arrival. Took them over half an hour to get it ready. Also it's too expensive.

Review 20:It was in a perfect location. Close to many good places.

Review 21:I didn't like hotel you couldn't book to sit outside for food but had to come and take a chance of getting an outside seat. When we did arrive the seater tried to put us in a terrible seat right next to the kitchen though others were available and we had to say we didn't want that seat because it was so near the kitchen and then she immediately took us to one of a number of free tables in a better area for two persons.

Review 22:The staff were excellent and really helpful and efficient When you asked for something or called room service the response was really prompt.

Review 23:I asked for a late check-out but was given the standard NO without conferring to the actuall occupancy or asking how much time I need - which was just for one hour. Did not feel the hotel was full.

Review 24:Great location - helpful door man staff.

Review 25:Hate to complain about anything because our stay was wonderful but there was no towel bar near the sink for hand towels and nowhere to hang wet towels in the bathroom.

Review 26:Beautiful hotel in an excellentl location. Staff extremely helpful and well trained. Great nightly entertainment outside by the water.

Review 27:Nothing to complain about

Review 28:Excellent location. The concierge recommendations were spot on. Walking distance from The Children's Museum and Boston Tea Party.

Review 29:We would have liked to know in advance the pool and jacuzzi wasn't open but we made use of it on our last morning. Couple of things were forgotten on our breakfast order

Review 30:Room was so luxurious, staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay again

Review 31:Whether you're staying in a motel or an expensive hotel like this one you are always going to suffer from noise caused by inconsiderate people slamming doors or talking loudly in the early hours of the morning. Unfortunately as nice as this hotel was it suffered like any other from these problems and therefore did affect our enjoyment during our stay. Why is that in the 21st century hotels don' t seem able to at least fit soft close doors so as to eleviate some of these problems.

Review 32:It was difficult to find for people using GPS. The couple it was booked for noted that it wasn't as clean between nights as it could have been.

Review 33:Staff were gracious as were the surroundings - the Boston Harbor view magnificent.

Review 34:Not the fault of the hotel, but cab driver could not seem to find it. We ended up getting out a coup of blocks away and walking the rest of the way.

Review 35:Loved the location. Food at the sea grille was excellent. We had an amazing night sleep on the comfortable bed.

Review 36:I would go back to Boston just to stay in that hotel

Review 37:Everything , I've never experience such a decient hotel with wonderful staff and luxury accommodation as this hotel

Review 38:Everything about Boston Harbor Hotel was spectacular. We received great service from the staff, the concierge, the bell man, and everyone. Of course, the location is perfect and it was easy to get around to all the sightseeing areas. Great trip!

Review 39:My credit card was charged for 55% extra my cost , I have contacted the hotel for clarification .the room cost is too high , most of the hotels in Boston Financial district are old and extremely expensive . normally with that rate you can stay one of the wonderful luxuries hotels in Dubai such Burj alarab .

Review 40:the location is great and the water view also is good , but if it is cold and foggy the view means nothing .

Review 41:Beautiful hotel, lovely staff, perfect location that allows you to enjoy the water while still being able to easily get anywhere in the city! We had 3 rooms: 1 regular king, 1 king Jr Suite and 1 double. They were all beautiful, but the double was a corner room....gorgeous!!!! Tons of space, tons of windows, amazing views!!!

Review 42:We loved everything about our weekend. We were there celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary and I did not need to reveal this information to get such excellent service. The Rowes Wharf Sea Grill was fantastic as well!

Review 43:The gift shop is adding bad repetition to the hotel. I wish if it does not exist in the hotel

Review 44:The location of this hotel is very nice. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff are polite. Harbour view is very relaxing

Review 45:The breakfast was disappointing and we had one where the food took a very long time to come and then was lukewarm. It was replaced and no charge was made. The hotel is expensive.

Review 46:Location, view of the harbour, the room

Review 47:I arrived on the Friday before the Boston Marathon...and after a long day on an airplane, my training plan called for a short 3 mile run...I headed to the SPA to accomplish this being it was only 8:15 when I began...I finished in <30 mins and headed to take a shower, knowing that the SPA closed at 9 PM. Shortly after I got in the shower, there was a knock on the door that I needed to get out since the SPA was going to be closing soon...I understood and hurried. Once back in the dressing room, there was steam everywhere making the room quite hot. I tried to dress quickly since I did not want to inconvenience the attendant who was standing watching. As I gathered up my running attire, I apparently dropped one of my special running socks on the floor but did not see this; however, once I got back to my room, I was missing the sock; therefore, not wanting to have a mateless sock, I went looking for it in both the elevator...however, since the SPA was now closed, the elevator would not go to their level...so this next morning, I went back to the SPA to report the sock missing and to inquire about finding it. At this time, I really had a problem with the front desk attendant...he was nice but really did not seem to understand that I did not need a sock (he offered twice to loan me a pair) but that I was looking for a missing sock from closing time the prior night...finally, he called security where he said these things would be located...no help at all...and to make this long narrative short, the sock (black with red weaving) was never found. Upon my departure, I left the missing socks mate at the desk in the hope that it could still be found...again, no good. I really do not need the sock but it was just the entire experience that seemed out of character for this quality of a hotel...FYI.

Review 48:loved the water taxi from the airport and overall, the staff at the hotel were wonderful with one exception. The locations was good but for the reasons that I was in Boston, it was not excellent...and the staff need to achieve better control of the weather (just kidding).

Review 49:Concierge service was above and beyond. All the staff was very accommodating. We needed to wait in lobby for several hours after check out and were given free coffee by the lovely hostess from restaurant.Really needed that since we were still tired from previous day travel. Truly felt like royalty here!!

Review 50:The staff made my wife and I feel important. We stayed 3 nights for the Garth Brooks concerts at TD Garden, and were delighted that we stayed at the Boston Harbor Hotel.

Review 51:The hotel is perfectly located, the staff are attentive at all points and the room was amazing with great views of the harbour! I will definitely be returning.

Review 52:For such a beautiful building, the interior decoration was pretentious and conservative, hideous carpets, great swags of fabric for curtains, gaudy bedspreads. I wanted an elegant room but this one was just trying to say "money." Worse, although the bed was wonderful, the chair that I spent most of my time reading in was tortuous. I returned home with my spine in a kind of zigzag pattern, hopelessly twisted out of shape. Also I personally can't stand it when the doormen descend on you like a pack of rabid dogs every time you enter the building. Please call them off and is there any need for four of them? I felt outnumbered.

Review 53:Very little. Even the salad I are in the restaurant had a big old hunk of in edible core.

Review 54:we were never told that the pool/gym/fitness rooms were closed, as was the main dining room...although the pool was offered at Marriot Long Warf, it was too cold, and too far to go for a leisurely swim. We were looking for a romantic 5 Star experience in 1 hotel as advertised. we could have done it at a different time had we been told up front. Up front honesty was expected. Every hotel needs to have things updated, but don't promote things that can't be given.

Review 55:staff, upgraded room/views, fruit plate (that was suppose to come with champagne, but instead came with a bottle of water)

Review 56:Great location and lovely room (upgraded) with a city view. Staff extremely helpful, nice touch with the free coffee in the morning. Nice pool and sauna to relax in. Cosy bar for evening drinks

Review 57:It was a great location with great hospitality. We were able to walk to all the great destination sites such as Faneuil Hall and the Aquarium and there were plenty of restaurants around.

Review 58:The staff is very professional and pleasant but somewhat impersonal. Morning of departure was disruptive. I feel that the quality of enjoyment should be consistent from check in to check out, as that is what I am charged for.

Review 59:The location is perfect for tourism. The room fantastically clean with fabulous amenities. Loved the robes, slippers. and quality linens. The complimentary fruit and water presented with evening room service is outstanding. Harbor and city views are equally beautiful. Staff are pleasant and professional.

Review 60:Not a thing.

Review 61:Friendly yet highly professional staff. This hotel offers 6 star service in all areas - nothing is too much trouble. Outstanding location with high level facilities. Cant wait to go back.

Review 62:Bar facilities a bit limited

Review 63:There was a mix-up with our room which meant moving after the 2nd night but also resulted in us staying initially in a far superior room. It was handled very well and we were amply compensated for having to move. Staff very efficient and polite. Waterfront location/view and direct link to airport by water taxi.

Review 64:2 Small things: I wish they would provide mouthwash in room. Silly, but it would be nice considering how expensive the rooms are. Also, could add more electrical outlets near bed. One side had outlets, the other did not. Even with a/c blasting at 68, the room did not feel like it was cooling.

Review 65:Good Location right down in harbor, great service, cool bar atmosphere (we didn't eat at hotel restaurants though). Walking distance from harbor walk & many restaurants & financial district. Very charming hotel, we got a harbor view room. Beds were VERY comfortable. Nice to have the free wifi.

Review 66:Lots of noise children running in the hallway early in the morning'The cleaning person came and knocked on the door 930 am'it was a long weekend it's only chance people have to skip a little later'

Review 67:Having to leave.

Review 68:The staff were friendly and very helpful. Jimmy and Joseph on the main door were fantastic with taxis and rental cars. The concierge staff helped us with bus tour tickets, car hire and restaurant recommendations. The housekeeping staff were excellent and unobtrusive. We only ate breakfast int he hotel but it was superb. I love properly served meals as opposed to buffee, but the saturday buffee was very relaxed. All in all a fantastic stay and we hope to come back.

Review 69:Although you expect to pay a premium for a hotel of this standard, the prices are very much at the top end of the spectrum.

Review 70:The hotel is excellent in all respects from quality, location, cleanliness and facilities. The staff are exceptionally polite and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. This is certainly one of the best hotels in Boston.

Review 71:Everyone went out of their way to insure that our experience was the best it could be. The location is perfect (near the north end but on the water, the views were simply stunning, and the service was the best we've experienced. (been all over, and paid much more for a night's stay). We appreciate how thorough they were in spite of being at capacity with two weddings. We still received our special treatment.

Review 72:Nothing !!!

Review 73:We booked this hotel to end a 3 week vacation in Canada and USA. From when we were greeted by the friendly doormen to our departure 3 days later, everything was faultless. We will definitely return and recommend this hotel to our family and friends.

Review 74:No ice machines 20 mile walk to restrooms in the lobby Security check to produce your key at night to get into the elevator

Review 75:Excellent service, real snap to attentative courteous Beautiful room with French doors, balcony overlooking the harbour, great room service Only negative hidden ice machines, you have to call room service for ice

Review 76:I know it summer and Boston is very busy but the price of the room could have been just a little cheaper $$$

Review 77:My wife and I checked in on tue afternoon and everyone from the valet to the doorman and the friendly people at the front desk were great !! Our room was beautiful with lots of space and what a view of the city. We headed down to the bar and was waited on right away by Jeremy a great bartender ... That night they had live music and the place was jamming !!! Thanks to all the folks who made out stay a great one ...

Review 78:I would have liked a coffee maker in the room
