Reviews for Budget Host Sierra Inn

Review 1:The room that they show you when booking the deluxe king room is noteven cloose to what you get the electric fire place did not work took along time for the room to heat up they have in room coffee and the potwas not even clean really to much to list better off staying at motel 6

Review 2:Can not say

Review 3:I have stayed at this motel a few times so I know what to expect. It's kinda run down, I think an older couple and their son are trying to maintain all these rooms themselves. There is one ice machine, and sometimes it even works.. If they have donuts in the morning, they are stale day old clearance from the Safeway down the street.

Review 4:It's inexpensive

Review 5:The first room the heatèr didn't worked, so we got a different room but you couldn't shut the bathroom door because door handle feel off and then the front door locking mechanism fell out so I couldn't lock the front door.

Review 6:Staff was very nice, accommodating, and helpful.

Review 7:The office closed very early... I attempted to call and no one answered. I did not like to smell smoke!!! I am very allergic to it!!! Smokers were staying in non smoking rooms and smoking just outside their doors!!! This is very bad for people like me!!! I could smell the smoke and was afraid I would get sick!!! Also, young men were hanging out outside and it appeared one had a girl pushed up beside their car!!! Don't think young people should be allowed to just hang out there... They woke me up!!! When I went outside to see what was happening, they left!!! I wanted to complain to management before I left.. Someone was in office but door was locked and would not come to door!!! Also, I wanted newspaper and info I read said I would have to go to property on other side of street to get it.. Not very convenient..

Review 8:I liked that I did have refrigerator and microwave and all t he conveniences of home!!!

Review 9:CONS First, let's be clear. We had everything we needed with this lovely room, so any "cons" noted are very minor in nature. Our room was located across the street from the main motel area and office. Ice and vending machines also on the office side, so plan ahead with these items, if needed, before getting all comfy in your room, if it's located across the street. No clock radio. What time is it? No paper or writing utensils. Pool closed for repairs. Ugh. Bathtub stopper broken, so tub will not fill (for those of you that prefer bathing).

Review 10:PROS Facilities seem older but operators working to keep current Conveniently located. Walking distance to historical town of Prescott. Comfortable and clean room. Beds a bit hard but no problem after the first night. Friendly and accomodating staff. We requested ground floor room and have small service animal, which was no problem. Small kitchenette with coffee maker, fridge, stove, microwave. All clean and working fine. Bathroom area has hair dryer. Quiet area. WILL RECCOMMEND.

Review 11:The room smelled nasty, nasty, nasty. The side chairs in the room were very stained. The tile floor in the bathroom was very sticky, the curtains in the bathroom area desperately need to be removed as they are stained and not fitting the rod anyway, looks horrid. They should try using some serious cleaning materials to get the disgusting stains off the shower floor. There had been a hole in the wall and all these folks did instead of replacing with new drywall patch was caulk it. Ridiculous. The mini coffee pot in the room was filthy. Maybe the Health Dept should pay a visit here.

Review 12:Place looks run down. Interior poorly finished. Kitchen not clean. Bathtub dirty. We were not made aware at time of reservation that there was a big car show in Prescott and the town was jammed. Also, we were told that they increase the hotel price substantially for week-ends. We surely didn't get what we paid for!!

Review 13:It was fairly close to downtown Prescott.

Review 14:It was an old room but better than sleeping in a tent. Towels were old and dark from old dirt. Some had black stains that looked like they cleaned the floor with them. But they did clean the room every day I was there.

Review 15:There was a small fridge and microwave so I could keep food in the room. Room was large size so I didn't feel closed in. Shower worked, not a lot of pressure. There was a fake wood stove in the room but I didn't use it.

Review 16:we did not get maid service they did not change the bed pick up the dirty towels or return the tilesuntil we went to the officepeople are not very friendly are very niceI did not like my stay there and I will not go back

Review 17:location

Review 18:The phone in the room was ridiculous. It was an ancient phone that looked like it had been used a bit roughly. We couldn't dial out at all, and when I tried to call the phone in the room, often the call wouldn't go through, or if it did, It almost always cut out during the call. It really needs to be replaced. Also, the ice maker didn't work, so we couldn't get any ice.

Review 19:The kitchenette was great!

Review 20:Pillows were old and nut very good. Could have a continental breakfast and would be a great stay.

Review 21:We have a very lathe family and so we need floor space And The room were bigger than most newer hotels. The rooms were clean, look to have been updated a little. For an older hotel it did not have that old smoke smell. I thought they were nice.

Review 22:Bed so hard it threw my back out. My husbands back was bothering him as well. Coffee pot only brewed one cup wouldn't turn back on to brew more. There was a blow dryer thank goodness but it didn't work even though electrical circuits were working. I was so frustrated with this place won't stay here again not worth the money that's for sure. Save a few bucks and save your back it'll be worth it.

Review 23:????

Review 24:This joint was deceptive. Had we had a room in the main establishment where the office is, perhaps we would have found the outdated decor and smell of burnt coffee a bit unkept but charming. We were unfortunately given a room at the separate two story building across the street that looked like a place where shady shady things were a foot. For starters, we found a stained mattress cover at our front door as a welcome gesture for what was in store for us. We requested one king mattress and got two queen beds. Whatever, we just utilized the second bed as storage for the comforters and blankets that we immediately stripped from the bed we intended to sleep in. Sheets looked clean enough but there we cigarette ashes and burns on the nightstand lamp. Those weren't as bad as the crack pipe burns that we spotted on the counter of the "kitchenette." I'm assuming people don't utilize this inn as a layover on their road trip and more as a recreational spot for their drug use. The furniture looked like it had been found on the side of the road and the thrashed upholstery makes us think this is a safe assumption. The electric stove had rust on it and kind of crackeled when we turned it on. But hey, gotta cook your drugs on something, right? Between my fear of getting scabies from the mattress and my boyfriend's paranoia of our car getting broken into, we didn't sleep very much or very well. I've stayed in more than one Motel 6 so a snob I am not, and even that would have been a better option. By far, the worst accommodations I have ever stayed in. For twenty bucks more, we could have stayed at the Motor Inn, a boutique hotel just down the street. Our bad and we certainly payed for it. STAY AWAY FROM THIS INN (unless you're a snuff film location scout).

Review 25:There was a gas fireplace and what some might call a "kitchenette."

Review 26:breakfast choices [not a biggy, by the way]. if one wants to be "close to the action" not a perfect place.

Review 27:value, pet friendly, staff, location of property

Review 28:The balcony is shared, but its not a terrible thing.

Review 29:Easy to book, comfortable, feels safe when traveling alone, close to lots of places, beautiful views, dark location at night and can look at the sky rather clearly

Review 30:One of the beds had dirty sheets. Our towels were dirty. The beds were uncomfortable. The heater did not work. When I spoke to the desk clerk about our issues she acted as if she didn't speak English. I will not stay at this property again.

Review 31:The only convenient thing is the location of the property.

Review 32:The room was very cold. We couldn't moderate the heat. If we turned up the heater, it would become sweltering. If we turned it down, it became an iceberg within minutes. Discovered bathroom floor tiles just propped against wall leaving a 2 inch open space allowing outside cold air in. TV remote control tricky to use. Room needed an update.

Review 33:We liked the location, price, quiet, and clean facility. Staff friendly.

Review 34:Cleanliness was a bit of an issue; fortunately, we were not that picky and basically just slept there.

Review 35:Fireplace and kitchenette were a nice touch. Room was spacious and comfortable.

Review 36:Our booking said we would have a deluxe room with a balcony and a fireplace. No balcony, no fireplace, shower was like being sprayed by a painful pressure washer, toilet clogged after one minimal use. Mini fridge smelled disgusting. Not what I was lead to believe by the online post.

Review 37:It was a nice room, nice people, the upstairs balcony was nice and the other guests were very friendly. Very clean and very open. I'll stay here every time I come to Prescott

Review 38:Very dated. Musty smelling room.Bathroom area cleanliness had much to be desired. Room in much need of upgrading.

Review 39:Easy parking. Plenty of room for 4 people. Friendly office staff.

Review 40:Couldn't find anything to complain about.

Review 41:Excellent experience all around. I was looking for the cheapest room possible in Prescott. I was pleasantly surprised to see real kitchen facilities in my room, as well as a real fireplace. Service was great, value was great, quiet location, couldn't ask for anything more.

Review 42:Didn't have enough towels. Had to go to the office to get more (easy fix). Refrigerator worked on and off. First food was getting warm then it was frozen.

Review 43:The location was good. Not on a busy street and close to the Town Square. It was quiet. Room was clean and staff was nice.

Review 44:The place was dirty the room had a damp musty mold smell like there was water damage. The air conditioner didn't work very well. The exhaust fan in the bathroom was so loud I thought it was going to fall out of the ceiling

Review 45:Nothing

Review 46:A group of extended stay guests had guests of their own coming and going around the clock. In and out visitors till the time we left at 6am.

Review 47:The desk clerk gave us a choice of available room locations.

Review 48:Wifi did not work inside room. The toilet was leaking so the water had to be turned off when not in use. The hair dryer stopped working.

Review 49:It was ok if a person needs to stay for a night. Even though we did not use the kitchen facilities, it was nice to have a microwave and refrigerator.

Review 50:Although the room was quiet, it felt claustrophobic, only two small dirty windows toward the end of the room. Day old donuts, price what too high for quality of room.

Review 51:It was a clean room and quiet, close to downtown. Price of room was a bit high for the quality.

Review 52:Being in the room during the night, we were located so we saw passing traffic headlights.

Review 53:The convenience of the coffee pot, microwave and refridgerator as well as the room itself.

Review 54:Coffeemaker basket in the room contained coffee, lots of creamer, but no sugar or other sweetener.

Review 55:Nice size room, clean, nice size bathroom, quiet location but close enough to downtown Prescott. Good value for the price.

Review 56:The room looked old and worn out. The curtain was broken so we used a hair tie to keep it closed. The bed was lumpy and hard. Parking was a bit dicey since there seemed to be more guests than parking spaces. The air conditioner was loud

Review 57:The location was a few miles from the historic area of Prescott. The room had a refrigerator and microwave The location felt safe.

Review 58:Room was dirty. Kitchenette looked too dirty to consider using. Sheets had black marks. Bathroom floor appeared to have poop smears..... Maybe blood behind the door. Mini blind was filthy.

Review 59:Room has possibilities but it was dirty.....fireplace would be nice in winter if it works.

Review 60:When we arrived they had no record of our reservation. Thankfully they had a room available. It was not the one we paid for, but it was a roof over our heads. On further inspection the room was dirty, the bathroom door wouldn't shut (with a one year old, this is a necessity). The shower handle fell off in use and the water would go from very hot to cold with no warning. Several times throughout the night and morning it smelt like sewage.

Review 61:We were planning on staying two nights. The second night we were able to switch to the room we originally booked. It was larger, the furniture was nicer and it had a kitchenette. The management was very kind about our desire to switch rooms and gave a slight discount. We ended up staying a third night out of necessity and management was great about extending our stay.

Review 62:The motel. Parking is no good

Review 63:Wifi

Review 64:Wifi didn't work

Review 65:Rooms looked fine

Review 66:It has everything you are looking in a hotel with a very reasonale price.

Review 67:We stayed there 2 weeks prior to this stay, the first stay was in a much roomier better equipped room, but the price was the same both times.

Review 84:The fan in the bathroom was very noise

Review 85:The room could have been better, not enough towels. The remote on television did work.

Review 86:The price was reasonable and location was scenic.

Review 87:the shower leaked from the ceiling all over the bathroom, the heater did not work, curtains were so thin you could see through them, dirty

Review 88:Beautiful view and quiet.

Review 89:Great staff. Nice to have a little kitchen. Funky in a nice kinda way. Not 5 star but great value and I can't wait to stay there again!

Review 97:Location is important, it is in a wooded area, quiet yet right along the road.

Review 98:No breakfast all they had was coffee and a few donuts.

Review 99:The bed was really hard and the room had a chemical odor and the bed smelled musty.

Review 100:It was perfect fit what I needed.

Review 101:About 1.5 miles from down town Prescott.

Review 102:The shoddy upkeep and repair work that had been done by someone who didn't know what they were doing and who were clearly trying to save money by not hiring a professional.

Review 103:The ability to cook and the refrigerator

Review 104:The room phone and the ice machine didn't work, they didn't inform us of either when we checked in. There was another ice machine however it was across the street. The freezer didn't work properly so our ice cream melted. They checked in a guest above us at 1:30am when there were other rooms that had no one below. Those guests woke us & kept us up until 3:30am.

Review 105:They were able to accommodate us when we extended our stay. It was a nice room with everything you would need to eat in, cooking facilities and dishes included. We would definitely stay here again!

Review 106:The room was a little out dated. It was a little musty when I first got there but turning the A/C on fixed that.

Review 108:Having the fridge & microwave in the room.

Review 109:Room was old and outdated. Bedding was stained. Room smelled stale.
