Reviews for Amata Resort & Spa, Ngapali Beach

Review 1:There wasn't much space to hang our clothes and the Internet was patchy and slow.

Review 2:Breakfast was a good selection with a beautiful view facing the beach. The traditional massage was very good!

Review 3:the spa were quite expensive so we used the local service just across the street

Review 4:definitely everything. This was one of the best beach resorts that we have ever stayed in. The staff would fullfill any of your requirements and the services were just excellent. We got a room 701 - probably with the most amazing view and private balcony. There were many local restaurants justbacross the street ready to serv you fresh seafoon and fishes all day long.

Review 5:Intermittent wifi and very expensive restaurant together with very poor beach service. Could have provided beach towels on the beach instead of us having to carry them with us all the time. We ordered a salad for lunch which took so long to arrive that we almost forgot we'd ordered it. The plate wasn't taken away when we left the beach at 6pm!!

Review 6:Location and service from staff. The transportation service to and from the airport was excellent to the degree of even helping us check-in and immigration. May was particularly helpful in organising our transport to Ngwesaung beach. Thank you all very much.

Review 7:You pay more but you have a very pleasant stay. Awesome breakfast. Pretty quiet beach. We totally loved it! A lot restaurants across the street. Treasure seafood had the best coconut curry and a very good service (owner is really thousiastic and happy vibe).

Review 8:inexistent internet...but I guess it was not Amata Resort fault. Another resorts in the area suffered the same problem. Who wants internet in the paradise? in any case, it is possible to get, at a very convenient price, a local sim card in Yangon

Review 9:Spacious, simple, room with garden view only 50 mts from the beach, actually at night it is possible to hear the sea. Very good breakfast serve on the terrace directly on the beach. Very good hotel restaurant with reasonable prices and outstanding sea view. Also possible to eat across the street in a different selection of local restaurants for half a price. Very good drinks/cocktails in the restaurant hotel ideal to enjoy during the awesome sunsets. Very nice small infinity swimming pool which nobody needs cause the sea is just perfect! Excellent Staff. Awesome, unspoiled, breathtaking clean beach and turquoise water. It is paradise!!! We loved it.

Review 10:Internet not working

Review 11:Everything, the location, the pool, bar and breakfast places. The room, the view, the spa. And the staff is charming and helping.

Review 12:Didnt enjoy the food in the restaurant too much... Nothing much around the Resort, could borrow bike from Resort to see around. Guess its the low season now constructions around the hotel :'(. I could not access to the wifi at all during my stay..

Review 13:Friendly Staff. The infinity pool is awesome. Appreciate the hotel sent someone to pick up the pool within short notice.

Review 14:Unfortunately our stay was very disappointing after all the greatreviews we read. The hotel was definitely in the process of closing downfor the monsoon season so we were surrounded by construction, includingbeing woken up at 7am by extremely loud hammering right next to ourroom, and half the facilities being closed. Most concerning was that thefirst room we were given had a huge amount of mould in the bathroom, somanagement gave us an upgrade. At breakfast, the staff, whilst verypolite, forgot half our order twice which made for very long waitingtimes. Also, there was a storm which left a lot of plastic on the beachstrip of the hotel, however noone made any effort to clean this up for 2days. Wifi very patchy.

Review 15:Good location. Free pick up and drop off service from the airport(though all hotels in Ngapali seem to offer this).

Review 16:Indifferent slash rude staff, food was not nice, breakfast was poor too.

Review 17:I rate places by if I would stay here again if in the area, and I wouldn't and I wouldn't recommend anyone else to either. Location is good though, although that goes for every hotel in this area, so just stay somewhere else.

Review 18:If anything maybe that there wasn't a gym (but i went running on the beach instead) and that the wifi was rather slow except in the business centre. Some staff should speak better English or know who to call if they cannot resolve or understand the issue.

Review 19:I loved everything about my stay: great location and views, great infinity pool, excellent staff and service. Great breakfast. Cool restaurants around.

Review 20:The beach is very nice but there are some small rocks in some parts of it. I saw daily workers picking the rocks up every morning so the guests could enjoy the beach without any problem. The pool was not very clean but this might be because of the Water Festival and the large number of tourists staying at the hotel.

Review 21:The hotel is very beautiful and the deluxe room was beautifully decorated and surrounded by gardens. The view and the location is excellent, as well as the food at the restaurant. When I arrived the staff at the reception couldn´t find my booking. They asked for a copy of my booking and checked the list of guests who booked online but they couldn´t find my name. I have to admit I was annoyed with this, specially when hotels are fully booked at this time of the year. However, the staff successfully handled this problem and gave me a very nice room and apologised for making me wait too long. I asked them to changed the dates of my return flight, and they did it without any problems or extra fees. It is also important to mention that the staff at the hotel are very nice and respectful, and they try their very best to make your stay a wonderful experience. Some of them are not fluent in English or don´t have many years of experience working in resorts like this one, still they try their best to help you enjoy your time in Ngapali. I highly recommend this resort.

Review 22:Lovely apartment-style room set in gorgeous gardens. Great beach facilities. Pool is lovely but doesn't have many sun loungers alongside. Nice lounge area. Super helpful staff. We appreciated the free airport shuttle. Loved it!

Review 23:The wifi was very intermittent which wasn't ideal for those of us who had to work, but very understandable in this part of the world and at least it was offered and free!

Review 24:The location is amazing, sitting right on the beautiful Ngapali Beach and backing out on to a road with local restaurants

Review 25:problem with internet internet just only clouse to reception but not alwasys, value for money is not really fear in compare with other clouse hotels, drinks sometimes is missing alcohol, menu has to be adjusted , towels must be clean .

Review 26:Good location , clouse to all restaurants

Review 27:Leaving!

Review 28:Very relaxing, well set out grounds and rooms, very friendly and attentive staff.

Review 29:We really enjoyed every moment. Extremely amiable people, nice accomodation, good food
