Reviews for Snowshoe Motel
Review 1:It's a motel, very basic but fine for a place to sleep after a hard day skiing.
Review 2:Very convenient to the town with Free bus at the door to Copper and other ski areas.
Review 3:Boise from nearby rooms, floor above us was creaky but not too bad.
Review 4:Great location, walking distance to many restaurants. Hot tub was a nice treat too.
Review 5:The town of Frisco is a quaint beautiful town with good places to eat and conveniently located near Copper Mountain. I appreciated the continental breakfast which was available for free at the motel.
Review 6:No way to get fresh air - if window opens, the water pipes can get frozen. No air duct pipes out of bathroom. Parking space is somewhat tight (issue getting out) and limited.
Review 7:Considering other motels and hotels pricing in the area about 1.5++ times more, this was fair and reasonable stay. No real issues, just some inconveniences.
Review 8:The building is pretty old so if you're hoidy-toidy you might not like it, but it was clean and comfy and good enough for us. The only negative was the noise. The walls are thin and you can hear everything outside (and next door); snowplows in middle of the night and drunk people (we're drinkers too) congregating at 1:30am at the bus stop just outside woke us up two nights. Ask for a room on the backside of the building to avoid this.
Review 9:The staff was helpful and friendly. They had a pretty decent continental breakfast but in a tiny room. You can walk to almost anything you need: restaurants, bars/pubs, shopping, coffee shop, C-store, and the bus stop for the free county-wide bus system is right out front.
Review 10:Friendly staff. Breakfast was okay. Heat was broken when we got to our room. But they immediately started working on it when we notified them and they had it working within an hour or so.
Review 11:Not enough space in room for two if you stay in the room for any amount of time.Very difficult to move around when you have luggage for a week.Needs better sound proofing.
Review 12:Great location
Review 13:Not a fancy place but so what?
Review 14:Very well-located on Frisco's Main Street, walking distance to restaurants. Shuttle buses to Breck and Copper stop right outside. Half an hour drive to Vail. Hot shower, comfortable bed, cereal and bagels at breakfast. What more could you ask for?
Review 15:I dropped my season ski pass in the parking lot, someone turned it in and the front desk called me right away. The girl (sorry , I forgot her name) was very friendly and helpful throughout my stay.
Review 16:The little town of Frisco, Colorado, is nice, easy drive to Breckenridge, Keystone, A Basin for skiing. it is also a good location to do a day trip to Vail, Beaver Creek. The breakfast was fine, rooms are nice, clean quiet..walking to all restaurants on Main st. Cat, the day receptionist and coffee maker was very helpful and friendly..
Review 17:I ski keystone and a-basin and I had hoped it would have been a bit closer but still a great spot.
Review 18:Hot tub, and proximity to dining, night life, etc. Excellent location for utilizing bus services.
Review 19:We are budget conscious travelers with normal standards. The room was large enough for the four of us and everything was acceptable. Nothing fancy, but perfect for our purposes. I'd gladly stay here again.
Review 20:TV loud upstairs from me
Review 21:The Snowshoe is convenient, was very clean and I felt it was a good overnight. Appreciated a quick breakfast provided also.
Review 22:Do not do upgrade booking.com and snowshoe made it seem like the upgrade was for two rooms when in fact it was the exact same room that we were going to get before but on the front of the hotel instead of the back very disappointed Plus a couple came in right behind us and got the same room for $20 cheaper when we pointed it out they said because we booked online they could not reimburse us sounds like a scam to me
Review 23:The staff was friendly and the location was perfect
Review 24:Breakfast was nothing special just pastries cereal and coffee.
Review 25:Great location on main street. Walking distance to all the restaurants and bars. Older motel but it was clean and staff was friendly. Great price and value.
Review 26:The only complaint we had is that the sauna doesn't open till four p.m., I love to sauna but prefer to do it at the start of the day rather than the evening. Aside from that was really pleased with our stay.
Review 27:The men who run this motel are very friendly and down to earth seeming in a fairly expensive wealthy seeming tourist town,we are on a through hike of the continental divide and they let us store our backpacks after we checked out since our bus back to the trailhead didn't leave for several hours.
Review 28:Initially had wifi connectivity issues, but staff reset the router and I was connected; unfortunately, after a short period of time the wifi dropped me, but I already accomplished what I needed so I didn't bother trying to reconnect.
Review 29:Clean room Staff was courteous and helpful at trouble shooting wifi issues
Review 30:The location and the price are excellent. Definitely a great value. Not luxury, but a clean, comfortable motel with easy access to restaurants, shops and the mountains.
Review 31:Very reasonable price, perfect location. It's not fancy but meets my needs. If you want good value, clean, don't need all the amenities this place is the best.
Review 32:Room was very stuffy. Open the window but curtains block the air. No air conditioning in the room. If you open the widow curtain everyone passing by the room could see you.
Review 33:Great location. Free breakfast which was decent.
Review 34:The room itself was fine, the only problem we had were the two queen mattresses. Both of them were terribly lopsided. There was a major difference between the left and right side of both. Like they have not been changed or even flipped in over a decade. Fine if you're sleeping alone but with a partner it was uncomfortable. And both in the room were the exact same.
Review 35:I like the location of this hotel. Right on the main drag, walking distance to some fine places to eat.
Review 36:The breakfast was very simple and the bed wasn't very comfortable. However, I have no found many hotel or motel beds that are!
Review 37:The motel couldn't be more conveniently located. It was right on main street, so all we did was walk out of the room and we were able to shop, eat, go to the outdoor museum, and park with ease. The rooms were also recently remodeled, so they were inviting, clean, comfortable. The staff was also very nice, I enjoyed seeing them.
Review 38:I didn't like that booking.com messed up my reservation as well asquoting me an incorrect price...... But the cool folks at the snowshoemotel took care of it !!
Review 39:The best customer service ever! I arrived super late, ran into all kindsof problems, was grumpy and irritated, the night guy ( mark, I think?)was awesome- did everything he could to accommodate me, made my staybetter immediately. And the young lady who worked during the day ( verycute, glasses) was extra sweet and helped me out as well. Overall, greatstay due entirely to a great staff !
Review 40:wall were thin and you could hear everything. all night long there was a baby crying in the room next door and above us there was a child running and jumping early in the morning.
Review 41:great location to the shops
Review 42:Main Street is under construction but still able to get to motel. Noise was not a problem.
Review 43:Beautiful room, nice staff and very convenient to restaurants.
Review 44:Had issues staying on WiFi. Room was stuffy. No air. Older motel. Looks run down on the outside
Review 45:People were great. Room was nice. Beds clean and comfotable
Review 46:The location in Frisco was great, right downtown near shopping and restaurants. The room was clean and had all we needed including fridge, microwave, coffee maker, flat screen TV, desk and chairs, hot tub, sauna. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rate was great and we felt we got good value for the price. We would have preferred queen beds but doubles worked ok, except one was a bit worn out. That was really our only issue. We enjoyed our stay.
Review 47:The motel is a traditional older property but is very clean and maintained.
Review 48:Staff was excellent, nothing to be said besides really was a great experience. Did not go in having high expectations because of the price but as a frequent traveler to the area and staying at all types of lodging in the past this property is definitely worth the money and will for sure stay at again.
Review 49:First room smelled heavy of smoke. Asked to be moved and staff was very courteous in accommodating us. Very noisy outside late at night both nights we stayed. Young party crowds seem to stay here.
Review 50:Staff was friendly and very helpful
Review 51:Stayed for 5 nights asked the maid several times not to clean our room due to the expensive equipment that was inside and usually they leave your door open when cleaning and she still did broughtit up to the manager on the third day and she said that it wasn't her so there was nothing she could do.the breakfast consisted of old danishs and cereal with no milk and we definatly had to buy breakfast else where. Also the most outdated and ugliest hotel in frisco we went to the holiday inn around the corner the last 2 days for 30 dollars cheaper and a much more enjoyable expierence
Review 52:Nothing
Review 53:Great location with bus stop right in front. Within walking distance to numerous restaurants and shops. Hot tub is always hot. Met friendly folks from several states and countries.
Review 54:Thin walls, badly in need of updating, noisy bus stop directly in front, maid arrived before I was out of bed one morning and never returned to clean.
Review 55:Location is the only thing this motel has going for it.
Review 56:The bathrooms were clean but outdated. The breakfast room was to small
Review 57:The rooms were old but clean. The breakfast was quick and easy. The location was perfect
Review 58:The sink where you washed your cups etc. was the same one to wash in. There wasn't a sink / basin in the bathroom.
Review 59:The fact that you had a fridge, microwave and drinks machine. The bed was also very comfortable. The room was also spacious.
Review 60:Comcast sucks, the hotels WiFi was as intermittent as the cable tv, hotel owner said Comcast was not interested in fixing the issue, boycott Comcast, they surely are the worst company on the planet. No do not disturb sign, maid woke me up to see if service was required one day, but it was 10am... No biggie.
Review 61:Very friendly staff, great location, easy walk to multiple restaurants, 5 miles from Copper mountain.
Review 62:The place is nothing fancy but it is clean, well-maintained and in a great location on Main St. in Frisco. The staff was also very accommodating as I had to change my reservations because of a flight cancellation.
Review 63:Nothing I didn't like. I was paying <$100 a night in summit county. Its a bed, shower, and a free Danish in the morning. I was happy.
Review 64:The price.
Review 65:Facilities were fine. Shower was not welcoming and hot tub was dirty. Fine place to stay the night and right down town and around the corner from many good mountains. I will stay here agin in the future.
Review 66:Walls are thin you can hear conversations through the walls and people on the street.
Review 67:Great location on the bus stop, plenty of parking, comfortable beds, and price was right.
Review 68:Old looking bathroom, thin walls. Don't get the room by the stairs, you hear foot traffic all night.
Review 69:Quick drive after skiing all day at Breck. Pretty good breakfast in the lobby. A bit cramped in the room when it is crowded.
Review 70:Pillows were very hard, Towels were nearly rags. Unacceptable. Pocket door needed repair. Good value if you're not looking for anything fancy.
Review 71:Location is perfect. Walk to everything and pick up public transportation right at the door. Breakfast was adequate and quite a savings as opposed to eating in a restaurant.Carpet/bathroom were nice. Furniture was fine. Mattress was comfortable.
Review 72:The walls are way too thin. We heard everything around us. We heard all the traffic of cars, people, dogs that was awful. We heard full cconversations in the room above and next to us.
Review 73:Loved the area. Staff was very friendly. Price of motel was just right.
Review 74:Continental breakfast could've had bananas.
Review 75:Chill friendly staff. Great location next to bars. Perfect for getting a little loose and attempting to snowboard down main street.
Review 76:For the price great. Close to the areas Highway Interchange so was easy fish to several locations. Lots of bait shops. Will take GF on next trip. She can catch the Shuttle buses right outside the hotel on Main St. if she does not want to fish. Hiking trails and shopping for her up and down the valley from the Shuttle. I got lucky other guests were quite and very frendly during my stay.
Review 77:A welcoming feeling with Paul and Vanessa... and his willingness to send my pillow that I forgot through the mail. The room was very clean which is a must for me to stay there. thanks!
Review 78:My wife and I stayed in early September, and were happy with the room. Great location in town close to restaurants and pubs, all within walking distance. Would have no problem with booking here again.
Review 79:Very loud atmosphere. No door on bathroom (!) Maid cleaned room and threw out personal items before I checked out.
Review 80:Quaint, old fashioned motel. Walking distance to restaurants and shopping
Review 81:We were there in the summer and had the window open, sound from the street carries into the rooms.
Review 82:The location is excellent, the hotel is located right on Main Street in Frisco within walking distance of great shops and restaurants. The bus line to local ski resorts is available right in the front parking lot.
Review 83:TV channel selection, wifi was weak in room
Review 84:Nice staff, convenient location, great parking, comfy beds, nice breakfast room with good food selection for breakfast, great water pressure (in shower), refrig, micro in room.
Review 85:It's located on Main St and close to the Brewery and other restraurants. The ski shuttle picks up right in front.
