Reviews for Forest Villas Hotel
Review 1:the breakfast buffet location is very small and expected variety of hot foods...
Review 2:the location is is easily accessible to shopping & restaurants. The rooms have balconies overlooking Prescott and mountains. Beautiful!
Review 3:This hotel is very misleading. There is no bar, beer or wine only that the front desk staff pulls out of their refrigerator. The breakfast buffet that they claim is microwaved eggs and microwaved sausage links. Oh and I read a review about the woman who runs the breakfast not being very pleasant, which is an understatement. When we went into our room it had an overwhelming smell of mold and mildew. My west facing sunset view room that I paid extra for was a view of the hotel next to us. Also over the course of the weekend we found 2 big spiders, one above the bed, and one in the bathroom. Yikes!
Review 4:Other than physically being in Prescott and decent TV channels there's not anything good to say.
Review 5:We purposely chose a more expensive resort to help ensure a better experience. We completed our stay and were left with the question of why this resort was more expensive than other local properties.
Review 6:The staff was extremely nice and knowledgeable, even late night.
Review 7:First day, the breakfast server made coffee strong. Perfect. Second day, very weak coffee. Would have like a variety for different days. Maybe bacon or ham. Consider having selection of danish on one day.
Review 8:Beautiful and serene. The comfort and privacy of room jacuzzi was worth it.
Review 9:I didn't like that I was in the very end of the hotel. When I was arrive I asked for a early check in about 3 week before I arrive and the room wasn't ready. Didn't have a microwave in the room they wanted $10.00 dollars a day to bring one. The bed wasn't that comfortable. I won't STAY there again!
Review 10:It was quite.
Review 11:No Late Checkout with a fee? Really? Pool hours again were to early fortraveling and were not available for arriving late, sad thing is we weretold because of the rooms around the pool, there are no rooms around thepool area. The pool and hot tub could stay open much later.
Review 12:Location was great, Booked last minute and was available. Inside entry.Breakfast included.
Review 13:It is a beautiful motel with a wonderful wide staircase. The staff are very pleasant and accommodating. The beds and pillows were wonderful. The grounds feature several fountains.
Review 14:I think we were the youngest people to ever visit this hotel haha!
Review 15:Very friendly staff, good location with nice view, very clean rooms, comfortable beds, Wifi worked fine, breakfast was nice! Very nice hotel overall.
Review 16:Front desk staff seemed very harried even though we were the only guests checking in. Disappointed our requests for an upper level room away from highway was not honored, Told that internet site often does not send the request info to hotel. Do not believe this at all. Repeated our preference - ignored - staff just purse lips, sighed and put us on first floor anyway. Will not return or recommend. Empty hotel, empty parking lot, still request not honored. Went out for an errand, when we returned we glanced in the breakfast room. Same clerk looked at us suspiciously and asked our name and room number - as if we did not belong in the hotel. Creepy.
Review 17:Comfortable bed
Review 18:The use of plastic cups in the rooms and plastic plates and cutlery used for breakfast gives a cheapness feel to the hotel, when you are paying good money to stay there. Wasn't too impressed with the view from our lovely bedroom, over looking the car park and the concert hotel next door.
Review 19:The hotel has it's own quirky charm and a very welcoming atmosphere. I really liked The spa bath In our bedroom, nice large bathroom and super comfortable king bed. Enjoyed the pool and hot tub as the sun was setting. The buffet breakfast had a good choice of food and the pianist was a beautiful touch for a relaxing Sunday morning breakfast.
Review 20:I think the staff doesn't like young kids. I was traveling with grandkids and felt uncomfortable to let them make any noise at all which is hard with little ones. I say one staff member yell at 2 little boys who I didn't really think where being that loud. Second time staying and we got same impresssion first time as well it's definetly geared for older people NOT kid friendly.
Review 21:I really like the location of the hotel and property is beautiful with amazing views.
Review 22:Breakfast was not that good, eggs were fake and it was not what we expected.
Review 23:The hotel was very clean, the hotel was quiet and very nice for a romantic getaway. We stayed in a suite and the size, tub, and patio were great extras. We actually ended up getting engaged there by the courtyard. It was very romantic and quiet and we will be back of course!
Review 24:The parking garage elevator didn't work with our card which we had to re-swipe twice. Our room had no reading lamps and/or low watt bulbs. Sitting on balcony was difficult with air conditioner blowing warm air on us. Small surface area.
Review 25:Comfortable beds. Lovely garden area and lobby area very relaxing. Enjoyed the piano playing in the AM
Review 26:We had to monitor the toilet as it did not shut off when flushed.
Review 27:The piano music was beautiful for the breakfast time. I left some things in the room and they are shipping them to me.
Review 28:I didn't like being charged 2 different prices for the 2 nights I was there. They said one night was a weekend rate and the other the weekday rate! It was $40 difference and nothing different to justify it!
Review 29:The view from the first floor was just as good as the second floor!
Review 30:The breakfast is wonderful - even eggs and sausage. The grounds are really pretty with fountains, rose bushes and grape vines. Very peaceful - even a lady who plays the piano on Sunday mornings.
Review 31:I booked the room 2 months early and requested a second story because I am a light sleeper. I was told that there was an error in our booking and they had nothing on the top floor to offer us. Our friends checked in 45 mins after us and was given an upstairs room. I hate being lied to. I spoke to the manager the next day and he moved us upstairs and apologized, but I will not be back. Also, breakfast was not good.
Review 32:Green property, nicely landscaped Nice beds
Review 33:The room was really clean, the bed was extremely comfortable, and it was totally quiet. It was the best hotel expeience I have ever had, and I have stayed in many cities. The gentelman at the front desk was very very nice and the ladyat the desk when we checked out was very charming. All in all a wonderful experience and will recommend to anyone. We will be back!!
Review 34:I made a reservation, disclosing I had a pet, was given a final price, then told I owed another $50 when I arrived. Very disappointing. It was a "gotcha" moment I thought very crass and the staff was non-responsive when I challenged that based on my final bill received by e-mail versus the on sight bill.
Review 35:Overall a pretty cool property with mature trees and clean.
Review 36:Bath Rooms are very small. tight fit onto toilet. If you get a road side room on Rte 69, be preparred for a lot of road noise. There seems to be quite a few motorcycles in thgis town!
Review 37:Lounging area is warm and spacious but who uses it much?
Review 38:We were questioned at breakfast if we could show our room cards and what room we were in, because attendant wasn't aware there were any children staying in the hotel. My mothe in law and father were questioned as well.
Review 39:Rooms and beds comfortable.
Review 40:we came to Prescott for 5 days without reservations. There were only 2 hotels left in a 90% booked town. This was one of them. The reason was because it was very tired and very overpriced. Had we booked earlier we could have had a beautiful room at a neighbouring hotel for 2/3 of the price. Some staff were great, others were from a latet night horror movie
Review 41:so overpriced and tired meant that it was quiet and we were lucky to have asked for a room with a great view
Review 42:The grounds are beautiful, I loved the balcony to enjoy the gorgeous views, and the breakfast was just yummy! All staff members were friendly and went out of their way to make sure my needs were met. I felt like I was at a retreat!
Review 43:Cramped toilet space and too small breakfast room.
Review 44:Wonderful staff, very clean rooms and beautiful facilities. Great piano player. Very classy. Highly recommend, will return.
Review 45:Breakfast was ok but not great. Need another toaster to prevent waiting time.
Review 46:Loved the balcony from our room, clean room, very comfortable bed, and location is perfect. Right off the main road.
Review 47:Have been there a number of times and recommended to others. Would not extend our checkout time by 2 hours. Probably will not be a priority to stay here again.
Review 48:Quiet.
Review 49:checking in and checking out takes a little more time than usual as the mature staff is a little slow to react.
Review 50:Very relaxing atmosphere.Off the beaten path but still near enough to down town.Splurge for one of the deluxe or up scale suites. It is worth the price.Clean and safe, pretty grounds and an acceptable breakfast makes for a low stress stay.
Review 51:Being the only ones there, difficulty getting registered and staying upstairs, smallish room, view of Costco instead of a forest.
Review 52:Beautiful balconies, entryway with spiral staircase and crystal chandeliers, detail in art work and classically themed décor, very quiet.
Review 53:I did not like the beds, they were a disappointment. Just not as comfy as I I am used to and was expecting given the elegance of the rooms. I think 35 a night is a little excessive for my dog to stay one night and I was not thrilled with the breakfast options....however I was thrilled when they directed to me a lovely bistro across the way. I was VERY disappointed that I had reserved two king suites but they said it was executive suites that were reserved and I knew that was not the case.
Review 54:I loved the location, the balconies, the views, the spa tub and fire place and I really loved the amazing staff. I love how clean it was and the convenience of our rooms to parking. The grounds were beautiful and they allow pets so overall it was a good stay.
Review 55:This was the best hotel I have ever stayed in. The hotel was beautiful and felt like we were in the Mediterranean. The staff was so friendly and the beds super comfortable. I would highly recommend this hotel.
Review 56:We were in town for a wedding and the hotel was situated right in the middle of everything we needed but the comfort, friendly staff and amenities is what made our stay extremely enjoyable.
Review 57:Next time I will ask for a room away from the road but it wasn't bad.
Review 58:The staff was wonderful, the room was clean, great location, everything was so nice.
Review 59:Breakfast is good, but wish the eggs were not the imitation type.
Review 60:The bed was extremely comfortable and had a great night sleep. The hotel is beautiful with a very charming atmosphere. Also enjoyed sitting outside on the balcony area.
Review 61:There was nothing that I didn't like.
Review 62:The front desk staff, the breakfast workers, and the housekeeping staff were all very friendly and very helpful. I love my stay there every time.
Review 63:I hate to criticize unless I can imagine a realistic solution to the problem, but I struggled with my luggage going from parking lot to the building due to the incline. Wasn't told of parking garage that might have made things easier (?).
Review 64:Located on a hill, nice views Interesting architecture and pretty gardens Quiet halls and rooms Piano player in lobby on weekends Halfway between Prescott and Prescott Valley Better than Continental breakfast w/ scrambled eggs and sausage
Review 65:Very attentive staff. We checked in late (10:00 pm) and were immediately assisted. I like privately-owned hotels more than the more modern chains. Fountain Villas was full of charm. Our room was cozy but inviting and matched the photos on the website exactly. We knew exactly what we were getting!
Review 66:Out dated décor. Animal friendly (dogs barking). Quality of free breakfast. Room overlooking the noisy main road.
Review 67:Price and location. Covered parking. Room with a balcony.
Review 68:The air conditioner had rattles and up stairs unit lots of noise from people walking around. All nite. When inform staff next morning they said air was new. It still had damn rattle in it. So didn't stay 2 nd nite. Even though they charged me for it.
Review 69:Was in pretty area and thought we would like the stay until we tried to sleep.
Review 70:Forest Villas is a beautiful hotel with lovely gardens and a pool deck that gives a view of the mountains surrounding Prescott, AZ. It is quite dreary to go to another anonymous chain hotel after staying here! Breakfast and wifi are good, the beds are comfy, the staff is very helpful and the price is quote good too! I will always stay here when I am in the area.
Review 71:Nothing.
Review 72:Kate and Art were wonderful hosts! always professional, yet personable enough to make us feel welcomed, treated us like family. Always asking and taking care of any needs we had quickly and always with a smile. Thank you!! I will definitely return
Review 73:Had we depended on the pool yard towels, OMG they were like postage stamps. Talking about Room 203...toilet too low, damn near cracked my knees first time. Also toilet jammed to close and gotta' be careful not to head butt the wall on getting up.
Review 74:We used spa both days...pool/spa yard very nice, clean very relaxing. Glad I asked desk about towels, they magically appeared.
Review 75:I needed to print (5) boarding passes and was charged for the "copy". Printer is located behind the desk so the clerk knew I was not printing a book. Very petty, took away from the hotel a "get every penny" attitude.
Review 76:We went because the room offered a fireplace but it did not work.
Review 77:Beautiful king suite...lived the sunken bath tub in room with fireplace
Review 78:Door key wouldn't work on elevator. Room had bad odor from carpet and stains on the linens.
Review 79:Location and front desk was friendly
Review 80:The pillows were not comfortable.
Review 81:The room was very roomy, loved the fireplace and jacuzzi tub in the same location. The balcony was nice as well.
Review 82:I thought the so called complimentary breakfast was terrible. There were not enough luggage rollers.
Review 83:It was okay.
Review 84:not having a microwave without paying extra
Review 85:everything
Review 86:The decor was a bad flashback to the 80's, it felt like the set for the Golden Girls
Review 87:bed, awful breakfast, mediocre dated rooms..
Review 88:easy parking
Review 89:No coffee available except at breakfast
Review 90:Balcony off the room.
Review 91:Noise from highway

Review 100:Friendliness of staff
Review 101:Nothing
Review 102:Kids liked the pool. Breakfast was nice and well managed.
Review 103:It needs alittle up dating and bushes cleaned up on the outside.
Review 104:It is very clean and quiet.
Review 105:Room service company that the hotel uses.
Review 106:The staff were all very nice. The room was spotless. Nice place to stay.
Review 107:Bathroom was the worst . Small bathroom. Toilet installed in the worst location. Hard to sit down and feel cramped in a small corner.
