Reviews for Amazing Ngapali Resort

Review 1:It is not new nor renewed resort and in the rooms almost everything should be renewed or even painted. It is definitely not worth the money what they ask for a night

Review 2:The beach was very nice and the staff was kind

Review 3:Not too many places to go except fishermans village (a must) and inland local village market (optional) This is really dedicated beach resort as are the others nearby but great to relax after hectic schedule around Myanmar.

Review 4:Wonderful beach side location - 5/10 minutes transfer from airport - excellent restaurant with geat value for money and high quality food in super setting - rooms wonderfully equipped with sea/palm tree views - with air con - TV - and internet - tuktuk service from hotel to fisherman's village very convenient - great relaxing stay. Would recommend this resort to anyone - the name is totally appropriate!

Review 5:nothing.

Review 6:great White sandy beach with palmtrees. beatiful hotel, sandbeds, restaurant with extensive range of food (western and asian), great breakfast. swimming Pool next to restaurant: nice sunset view and nicely decorated, beatiful at night with lanterns

Review 7:Everything was Great!

Review 8:Friendliest staff Ever!! Especially the breakfast ladies! Also got a great Off Season Deal! Beautiful Ressort at a beautiful Place!

Review 9:The tase of watermelon really plain but banana was excellent. Wifi in my room really slow I have to use it in the other area.

Review 10:First time I came here at 5am in earlly morning a one man GSA really nice to me. He was allowed me to check-in before time(2PM) and then they given me a fruit platter for my complimentary breakfast :). My room number is 603 in the coconut palm tree garden along Ngapali beach. Everything perfect; room, bathroom kit, free a lot kind of teas, especially breakfast was really delicious. I love this private beach, calm, cozy and safe.

Review 11:Some of the staff were really rude. Slow Wi-Fi (no connection in the room). Would have expected better quality of the breakfast.

Review 12:Nice private beach. Close to the airport. Quiet.

Review 13:Bad WiFi, but it seems the max they can do. The matrass was very hard, but was replaced immediately after we asked for...

Review 14:Service, comfort, surprising pick-up from the airport, great place!

Review 15:There is a lot of room for improvement, especially given the price! Here to name a few...- There are nails sticking out of the wooden walkway that connects all rooms to the beach, so don't walk barefoot or you might be sorry- There is no beach service at all, and no bar either. So each time you want anything to drink during the day at the beach, you have to walk to the restaurant and stand there in the middle and wait to get served, then wait for them to elaboratly write on their order slips, then sign... not great in a bikini!- There are no toilets near the beach, so you either have to go back to your room, or walk through the restaurant again- There seems to be noone responsible to pick up any rubbish from the beach, not even things clearly left by hotel guests. E.g. they will collect used towels at the end of the day, but empty diet coke bottles will still be there 3 days later. Another example I witnessed was a gardener cutting himself, wrapping his toe in a tissue and then leaving the bloody tissue lying next to our entrance.- There is virtually no internet. If you are very patiend and sit in reception you might be lucky enough to download a newspaper or a few single emails.- Compared to other places on our Asia trip and in Myanmar, staff isn't very friendly or attentive. If you don't say it first, nobody will greet you if you walk past.- The level of English is extremely low with most of the wait staff. This resulted in almost every meal order going wrong in some shape or form. Whilst you try to be patient and understanding as it is a remote location and it's not their first language, it can be testing!- Hotel is generally a bit dated.

Review 16:The beach was certainly the best on that stretch (left of the airport). The other hotels had a lot of rocks, or no beach at all. During the day it was a lovely quiet location - no loud music or other annoyances. Spaciously laid out which makes it feel quite private. Whilst I have a lot of negative things to say, I am probalby just being picky as I really enjoyed my stay, I found it relaxing, the weather was amazing and the water a perfect temperature. Across the road from the hotel there are a few little local restaurants that do fresh fish, we went to "Mumu"'s place three times and whilst the wine was dreadful, the food was amazing and incredibly cheap. It just has so much potential that the negative things just disapointed us!

Review 17:The bed smelled like dead corpses had been Laying in it and was a king bed comprised of two twins squashed together. The rooms are huge and have nice patios but the furniture was awkward and the bathroom was lack luster.

Review 18:Overall I enjoyed my stay at ANR. The staff was very friendly, the hotel was clean with beautiful landscaping and the beach was amazing. The food was also fantastic and I enjoyed every meal I ate at the hotel. The breakfast was impressive.

Review 19:Nothing really, not much else to do in the area.

Review 20:Great place to relax after travelling around Myanmar for a couple of weeks, great staff and very good food in the restaurant. Everything you would expect for a touch of paradise! There are three other restaurants no more than five minutes walk away and they are much cheaper but the quality of the food in the hotel is much better even though it's much more expensive, you get what you pay for and we think it's good to spread your custom as the locals really need it.

Review 21:idyllic location and luxurious feel

Review 22:Feeling pampered from the beginning. Staff is so lovely and helpful. The rooms are spacious and you have everything you need.

Review 23:Proximity to a temple and religious festivities subjected us to evenings and nights (sic!) of blearing, synthesized cacaphony.

Review 24:The honeymoon decoration in the room. The present at the end of the staying.

Review 25:Amazing Location Incredibly helpful staff Awesome food The beaches were like beaches you only see in the movies......Paradise

Review 26:Food on menu not available, pool not very clean, no entertainment at all in evening,

Review 27:Good setting, rooms comfortable, staff nice. Food not so good.

Review 28:Nothing

Review 29:The nice and friendly staff, the atmosphere and the location

Review 30:The evening meals.

Review 31:Everything apart from the evening meals offered. I much preferred eating in some of the local restaurants.

Review 32:NO WIFI !!!!!!

Review 33:LOCATION

Review 34:Dinner was a bit expensive and not so well cooked (they cooked my prawns too much, so they were a bit dry).

Review 35:It was truly an amazing experience and I really liked the hotel, its amenities and staff. I can recommend it to anyone, especially for a couple! Breakfast is very good, with many varieties. We also had a look on some other hotels on the beach and agreed that Amazing Ngapali Resort looked the best. We also profited from happy hour, e.g. coctails with the sunset!
