Reviews for New Summit Inn
Review 1:Wish they had microwaves in the rooms. Breakfast was ok, just pastries though so since I'm gluten free, there wasn't anything I could eat.
Review 2:Great location right off the highway in Frisco without the traffic noise. Great option for us as a family of 5, everyone had a bed to sleep in without needing to book 2 rooms. Not the fanciest place but good amount of floor space in the family suite.
Review 3:Noisy children running the hallways in the a.m. in their ski boots! Breakfast could have included some fresh fruit and cereal (:
Review 4:Once we found it (address doesn't really make sense--it's not on Summit), was well-located to town, etc. Very affordable for what you get.
Review 5:The family suite was a huge double sized room with three very comfortable queen beds. Sauna and hot tub available in the basement for soaking sore muscles after skiing.
Review 6:There wasn't any protein or healthy option for the breakfast. Had the coffee, but had to go somewhere to eat more food.
Review 7:Loved all services and extra amenity of sauna/hot tub after a long day on the mountain!
Review 8:Small breakfast area but not a big deal (you can also take your meal downstairs to a sitting area. No microwaves in the room but not a big deal as the main breakfast area has one. Small bathroom/sink in room but it didn't affect our stay.
Review 9:Hot tub and sauna facility area for a small and family run like Inn was very nice and has a place to shower before and after. A nice sitting area in that same area as well. Location close enough to Breck/Copper. Close access to big stores/restaurants, etc. Room size was pretty decent. Some take along breakfast options (danish type).
Review 10:In the breakfast it would have been nice to have fruit or oatmeal options.
Review 11:We had a family room and we had 6 people in three queen size beds. The room was quite large and we were very comfortable.
Review 12:needs more outlets for all of my electronic gadgets so everything can stay charged
Review 13:the location is convenient for work, it is small and comfortable, quiet and clean
Review 14:Lighting in the room could be brighter. Breakfast is very minimal but we knew that from last year so not a problem for us.
Review 15:Maria was a very friendly hostess. This was our second Christmas holiday at the Inn and we will stay again next year. We ski mostly at Copper but Loveland and A Basin are very close as well.
Review 16:Beds were hard as rocks, only had 1 pillow per person, 8person room and had the smallest bathroom ever, wifi was horrible couldn't even place a online food order, hot tub closing early
Review 17:Large room
Review 18:They had very comfortable and clean rooms. It was conventionally close to Breckenridge, one of the places we were trying to visit.Close walking distance to small fast food restaurants and wal mart , as well to a bar to walk back to room without driving.Very nice friendly staff, made us feel we very welcoming. Nice view from our rooms.
Review 19:No complaints for the value
Review 20:Friendly staff, great location, great value! I would highly recommend for the skier/snowboarder looking for a quick zzzzz before hitting the slopes again
Review 21:No bad experience
Review 22:Very friendly people , close to town easy get in and out. Overall great place. I will stay there again. Beautiful view of the mountains.
Review 23:Maybe a bit more soundproofing with each room's door.
Review 24:We loved the warm, winter cabin feeling of the hotel, and the value it provided. Great rates, and very clean/maintained property. Needless to say, our experience was better than most far pricier hotels. We will be back!
Review 25:Lack of any food choices for continental breakfast was very disappointing. Forced me to brave the cold weather before completely waking up to find local supermarket to get a yogurt, fruit and cereal. I may not come back.
Review 26:Size and furnishings of room
Review 27:The heater kept cycling on and off every two minutes or so all night. We were unable to adjust the thermostat as it was too hard to turn.
Review 28:Good location and very helpful staff.
Review 29:We stayed overnight on transit to Aspen. The stay was not like the reviews stated. It was a fairly decent accommodation. Nothing great to talk about. The bed was pretty hard, not comfortable at all. The purpose of our stay (to take rest between long travel) was defeated.
Review 30:I stayed in two different rooms. One didn't have a thermostat, so you had to manually crank on the loud heater when the room got cold every few hours.
Review 31:The prices were low, though granted it was off-season. The location is conveniently close to the highway, downtown Frisco, Breckenridge and hiking areas.
Review 32:The hotel was not handicap friendly. The room was really noisy. We were in a lower level room and heard every shower and toilet above us.
Review 33:The price was right.
Review 34:This is an older facility, but again, quite clean which is very important! The breakfast was minimal and I went elsewhere for the meal. My room overlooked a dumpster which wasn't very appealing!
Review 35:The location is good and the staff very friendly. The room and bathroom were clean.
Review 36:Not much we didn't like. Couldn't get the jets for the hot tub to work but the tub was still nice
Review 37:The room was very nice and we liked the cabin style atmosphere
Review 38:That there were no restrooms on any floors but where hot tib and sauna were. Wish breakfast included more options and milk. Hot and sauna were open early then 3-10
Review 39:Great location, vey clean and neat.
Review 40:Very small parking lot. 2 nights in a row, we had to park in a different lot. The main lobby floor creaked as you walked.
Review 41:It was clean, Very easy check in & check out, Very friendly staff, Great location, Very comfortable & very cozy.
Review 42:The breakfast, while I understand is free anyway, was not satisfying at all... It wasn't that much of an upset but if there was anything negative to say it would be that.
Review 43:This inn doesn't have a corporate feel, its more on the laid back, no-fuss side. It's slightly rustic and simple- which is what I was looking for.
Review 44:Very close to Hwy 70, but didn't hear too much noise.
Review 45:The staff was very attentive. Our kid accidentally hung the "Needs Maid Service" on the door and the front desk called to confirm and to warn they would be there very early in the morning and asked if it was a mistake. Saved us a very unpleasant wake up the next morning. :) For such a cheap price on a busy weekend, we were expecting something relatively poor, but we were pleasantly surprised. While not new and in need of a little TLC, it was clean and friendly.
Review 46:My only complaint is that the bed (hard) and pillows (flat) were not very comfortable for me.
Review 47:The staff was great, the convience and the price were awesome.
Review 48:Breakfast consisted of bagels and muffins, would have liked to see some oatmeal or some variety of other breakfast foods.
Review 49:Cleanliness and staff was nice and very accommodating.
Review 50:We checked in at about 9 on 9/6/15 and the woman at the front desk was cheerful and helpful and very nice! The rooms were spacious and comfortable and super clean, and the location was central, which we loved. Definitely recommend!!
Review 51:Only one very minor complaint: the breakfast was very simple (bagels and muffins). While I wouldn't expect a hot breakfast at this price, adding some fruit and yogurt would be great!
Review 52:Large room! We stayed in the large family room. With six children, it is rare to find a room that sleeps all eight of us.
Review 53:It's cheap but clean and overall good enough for budget travellers who are not too fussed about creature comforts. The decor can be best described as rustic. The breakfast is very basic, consisting of just coffee, muffins, pastries and bagels with cream cheese and butter. We didn't use their basement spa because my wife didn't really like the look of it. The proprietors, a Polish couple, seemed like very nice people.
Review 54:Breakfast was a real let-down. Only white bagels, little muffins and pastries along with orange juice and coffee. But the good news is that Safeway and Whole Foods are within easy walking distance to help supplement breakfast. Plus, each room has a refrigerator and there are 2 microwaves for public use.
Review 55:Wonderful location in Frisco - from the hotel we cycled to Breckenridge, Vail, Copper, Keystone. We could also walk to many of the restaurants in town. And if we got tired, the Summit Stage took us close to the hotel. We had a problem with the tub draining very slowly. The manager fixed it the very next day. Very friendly staff.
Review 56:WiFi could be improved but that was the least of my worries. When there is a full house I'm sure any WiFi will bog down
Review 57:Great location, cozy atmosphere
Review 58:The view. Room overlooking the parking lot. Not only cars but several other unattractive vehicles made the view not so nice. Pillows were very hard.
Review 59:Reasonable price. Comfortable room. The flowers out front were nice.
Review 60:Parking can be tight and it is a little hard to find after dark.
Review 61:The staff went the extra mile for us, even with a late check in. Room was clean, quiet and comfortable. Has a rustic wood lodge decor in the lobby.
Review 62:Staff was so thoughtful in providing extras for motorcycles (cleaning station/chems/rags). Hotel was comfy, clean and convenient to bars/restaurants. Definitely would recommend Summit Inn
Review 63:Wifi was spotty and beds were not queens. Other than that, everything was great.
Review 64:Friendly staff. Three beds in a large space. Our room also had a table and chairs. Comfortable and cozy space.
Review 65:Breakfast was weak but it was also very inexpensive so my expectations were low.
Review 66:Location was great for visiting Frisco and Dillon. The Summit Inn is a very cute, kitschy mountain motel.
Review 67:Would have liked a little more variety for breakfast - like oatmeal packets, hot chocolate packets, fresh fruit, yogurt....
Review 68:Location, price, & the quaintness a European ski chalet. Loved the skiing decor.b We were just there to sleep & shower
Review 69:Staff is super friendly. Beds very comfortable and everything is clean. Location is convenient to summer and winter outdoor activities. Price is great. They have a hot tub and great sauna too.
Review 70:The hotel was as expected, but the lady that works there was a nightmare. My first issue was when I called from the front lobby to get her to come to ask her a question, she was more concerned with who I was and how I got in the hotel, never even thinking that I might actually be staying there. But our biggest issue came after returning from dinner, there were no parking available, so I dropped off my wife and drove around looking for parking. After seeing nothing was available I called my wife and she called the front desk. I could hear the woman yelling at her, to which my wife was so shocked she told her this was not customer service. The ladies response was "oh God, park at another hotel", and then hung up on my wife. Terrible customer service, awful attitude. What a 'great' experience for our anniversary.
Review 71:Area
Review 72:It didn't have an indoor pool which our granddaughter would have loved
Review 73:The staff was very accommodating to our group. They were always nice and friendly.
Review 74:Beds not super, but okay. A little difficult to see at hotel at night. They need a better sign.
Review 75:Staff great, other guests nice, location fantastic, hotel was charming, a great experience!! Absolutely highly recommended!!
Review 76:The Wifi was almost non existent on the upper floor toward the west end of the hotel, but that is my only complaint about the hotel.
Review 77:The staff was very friendly and wanted to get to know you. They talked about their home town and talked fishing with us. They were always available and did not complain if you needed something in the middle of the night.
Review 78:The breakfast is limited; but I'm not much of a breakfast eater, anyway.
Review 79:This was our second year to take a group of 20+ people and stay at the Bre Summitt Inn. The staff has been very welcoming and accommodating. The facilities are comfortable and affordable.
Review 80:The breakfast had nothing but some bagels and some muffins. Fruit would have added a lot. The stairs to the second floor were very steep and a little stressful for transporting luggage.
Review 81:The Summit Inn was very clean, great location and priced very well.
Review 82:Very hard bed and pillows. Poor junk food quality breakfast items which just gave us an excuse to go to the Butterhorn in Frisco which is always excellent!!
Review 83:Clean, well kept facilities. Flowers, bench, and hummingbird feeder outside was a nice touch. Quiet; didn't notice any highway noise from our room along back side of building.
Review 84:Very clean, quiet and great location. Great hot tub and sauna. Staff very accommodating. Just across the street from Whole Foods and Rio Grande restaurant.
Review 85:Terrific value for this area! Nice cozy place with rustic wood banisters & breakfast nook furniture. Great, relaxed staff. Good check-in, check out processes. Comfortable bed & shower.
Review 86:My only issue was the password for the wifi didn't work for me. It worked for my friend but even after typing it in ten different times carefully I couldn't hook up... Not a big deal really.
Review 87:The bed was soft and lumpy. They definitely should update the mattresses. The breakfast was all unhealthy carbs.
Review 88:This was a very reasonable hotel. It also had a hot tub and sauna which were nice perks. Front desk was very friendly and helpful.
Review 89:Bed was very firm and slightly uncomfortable. Small and limited parking. Also while it had free Wi-Fi, it was very slow.
Review 90:The staff was great and accommodating. Not high end luxury but it was clean and had everything we needed for a great price.
Review 91:Obviously an older building so the room was a little stale and musty smelling when we walked in but there is a wall unit air conditioner. I always have Febreze in the car so that helped!
Review 92:This is such a great value! Good size rooms. Rustic wood furniture, good size flat screen tv, comfortable king size bed and friendly staff. Great for the price! Will definitely be back!
Review 93:Breakfast was all carbs. Previous guest's dirty shorts were found behind bathroom door.
Review 94:Location was great, room was adequate. Bed was comfortable
Review 95:Old school motel that still uses keys instead of card keys. Really pleasant staff and nice accommodations. Really glad I discovered this motel in Frisco!
Review 96:The breakfast only consisted of plain bagels, muffins and prepackaged pastries with orange juice & coffee. I would have liked some fresh fruit and oatmeal.
Review 97:The room was large and the entire building was nice and clean.
Review 98:beds and pillows suck, no microwave in room, better off going to gas station or out for breakfast cause there's is horrible,
Review 99:good location, the windows open... ahhhhhh air!!! decent view from back rooms.
Review 100:The location was closer to the traffic than I would have preferred, but because we were in the back, that improved the situation. The breakfast was continental style, but the items were not very healthy, with problematic ingredients in over-prepared foods.
Review 101:The bed was very comfortable, and the hostess friendly and helpful.
Review 102:Cleaning crew started early and was a little noisy next to the room I was in. Vacuum hitting the wall and I think they were using a squeegee for the tub. At least we know it's clean though!
Review 103:The ambiance of the hotel and the price. Very inviting!
Review 104:Needs updating. Not much of a continental breakfast(if you can call it a breakfast at all).
Review 105:It was quiet. If you need a place to just rest your head this is the place. The beds were fairly comfortable.
Review 106:Bed was a little hard. Would have liked some fresh fruit or yogurt at the breakfast.
Review 107:Staff very friendly and helpful. Let us check out late. Was worried about noise being close to the highway, but we could hear the traffic at all!
Review 108:The breakfast could offer a few more choices and maybe some fruit also.
Review 109:The whole experience was nice. Hot tub seemed pretty clean and it was nice to stay there.
Review 110:The address shown in here is not correct. Tried that address on GPS and it pointed us to somewhere else. Search on Apple map and found another address which turned out to be correct.
Review 111:indoor hot tub was nice. Strong mini fridge.
Review 112:I wasn't too fond of the location. I was told I would get a mountain view and I did not. The hotel seems somewhat "shut away" from its location.
Review 113:The staff was very nice, room was extremely clean, and the price was very afforadable.
Review 114:Place is old, so there's a musty smell. Also the free wi-fi didn't reach our room well enough to get online.
Review 115:Ease and convenience. Bed was very comfortable and room was large.
Review 116:Breakfast can be better. Less sugary items. Hard boiled eggs, and plain yogurt could be added.
Review 117:Rooms were clean and comfy. Loved the hot tub. Staff very friendly.
Review 118:the only thing that disappointed me was the continental breakfast. I've stayed in hotels that were cheaper and had a large selection of food from eggs, bacon, pancakes, waffles etc. the bagels and muffins weren't really what we were expecting and we had to go out to get something that would keep us from getting hungry since we would be skiing all day.
Review 119:the staff was extremely helpful and very patient with us when we were trying to figure out how to pay. She answered all of our questions about the area and was extremely friendly and approachable. The room was nice for our group of four! The beds were soft and it wasn't too cramped. We would definitely come back!
Review 120:Easy access to all our favorite spots. Continental breakfast always a big hit with the kids. The family that runs this hotel is very nice and accommodating!
Review 121:The bathroom was small. The WiFi was on off for several days and they had to reboot it (which they did right away and obligingly) few times. The breakfast was all starch (bagels, muffins, danish etc). It is not of importance to many people, but since I am so Eco friendly I didn't like the fact that they were changing our towels daily and that the toilet was dated and used gallons of water! The washing area/bathroom was small for 4 people.
Review 122:Close to many places of interest. Very clean, quiet and with lovely views of the Rockies from our 2nd floor room (facing North West). The staff was very nice and accommodating.
Review 123:The WIFI was lacking, speed was pretty slow.
Review 124:The room was clean, and the bed was firm. I was on vacation to ski and all I wanted was a clean room and an nice mattress. Both were very good.
Review 125:We wished there was more selection for breakfast. Lots of pastries, bagels and coffee, but would have been nice to have a protein source (cereal, eggs, bacon, something like that!)
Review 126:The price was reasonable and the hotel was very clean. The décor is a bit dated, but the room was clean and comfortable!
Review 127:Hot tub pluses= Big, roomy. Hot tub negatives=Got some weird infection from Hot Tub. Went immediately to regular Dr. upon returning home.. Game me perscription to try to contain infection and healing open wound I never had til 2 night in tub. I stay in at least 20 hotels yearly. This may have been in need of a cleaning more than any I've ever been in. Bedding had a multitude of colors, some of which was white, some used to be white. Would not have stayed all 4 booked nights if I could have got money back and it wasn't Spring Break with limited choices nearby for ski area.
Review 128:Location great. $107 was fair price considering Spring Break.
Review 129:Some problems w. wi-fi, but owners were planning to change provider.
Review 130:The accessability of our skiing destinations, the comfort and cleanliness of our room and the excellent service.
Review 131:I know that it is a simple cold breakfast that is offered, which is fine and good, but would love to see it slightly expanded to offer more than bagels, muffins & pastry.Other places I have stayed included, cereal choices, oatmeal, waffles that can be put in the toaster & even hard boiled eggs. Other than that, this place is great!
Review 132:Great value for the $$. Nice clean comfortable rooms and the customer service is wonderful. Tried to stay here after an outpatient surgery recently. When it turned out they were fully booked due to spring break, staff was kind enough to call and find another room for me at a local hotel with similar pricing. I would definitely recommend to friends and family.
Review 133:The value was great! Even a basic breakfast of bagels, pastries, and juice was included. We were tired after skiing, so we didn't mind that there was no pool. We drove downtown for dinner on Main St, which was only 5 minutes away.
Review 134:Check out time was 10, asked for late check out at 11 to finish a few things and this was ok'ed by the front desk. Housekeeping knocked on door to clean at 10, I explained the late check out. Housekeeping continued to knock and even calling the room every 5 min until I just gathered my bags and left upset.
Review 135:Hot tub was nice, room was extra clean, no frills but great price. Most of the staff was friendly.
Review 136:Wifi terrible, could barely do anything. Bathroom claustrophobic and old; shower creaked. Bathroom not cleaned each day. Lighting poor; needed to stand on chair to reach switch for overhead light. Staff defensive. Breakfast just OK, barely acceptable.
Review 137:Location is convenient
