Review 1：There is no places near the hotel that sales food so your only option is to eat at the hotel restaurant which was terrible they didn't have a lot of option to chose from and the breakfast was almost had only cheese, egg and bread only and sometimes they would offer old bread
Review 2：The nature that surround the hotel, the staff were helpful but if you don't speak Portuguese they would not be able to help you.
Review 3：I was extremely disappointed with the commodities in the hotel. Being isolated it has very little to offer for those who don't have a car. The restaurant has set hours for food and between that we were hungry. The set menu is poor (3 choices), repetitive every day and the food is below average. Having eaten 2 meals in one day we had to order room service, at a surcharge, in order to eat something else only to be told they didn't have anything apart from a couple of nibbles and chips. I think it's a disgrace that you need to eat the same thing everyday when you have paid 3 times more what other hotels in the area charge. This is a terrible shame as it ruined our two nights there and we couldn't wait to leave.

Review 5：The hotel needs an urgent and complete renovation. Furniture is old and some of them are damaged. The menu of the restaurant is poor. The staff are slow to replenish breakfast buffet. In the first day there was no water for bath and the next day problems with heating. It's a pity because the place is wonderful. I would only return if there was a renovation.

Review 11：- The very bad sewage smell on the main terrace at breakfast. - The water in the little bay/beach facing the hotel seemed not very clean (probably direct reject of the sewers into the sea... :-( - The poor English of the staff.

Review 13：Only cold water in the bungalow- both jacuzzi and shower!!!! We called once to get it fixed but no one came. Our towels were also dirty when we arrived. Food prices very expensive and, since isolated location, no other options nearby. Also did not like the 15% service fee on top of everything (raising our total bill R80).
Review 14：Loved the scenery and the peacefulness. Even with the problems, this made it worthwhile! The bungalow was very comfortable too, especially the bed. Nice sauna. Good food! The reception upgraded us for free because it was our honeymoon! We appreciated that.

Review 17：I live in Sao Paulo for working reasons, and I decided to try to relaxone weekend in Pestana Angra.It was not my first stay in Pestana Angra, and I decided to repeat, ignoring the other customers poor opinions, because last time I was there (october 2011) I meet the Hotel Manager and I realized he was making a good effort to improve hotel service quality. But... bad news. The former manager was not any more at the hotel nor even at the Pestana Company and...... NOW ALL IS WRONG, BAD AND POOR IN THIS HOTEL. The service was really, really poor. They didn't have the room ready when I arrived, they passed the responsability to its "Booking Central in Sao Paulo" as it was other company different from them. They didn't offer me a complimentary drink nor an upgrade to compensate the waiting time. The queen size bed was made with two sheets and two small quilts, rather than a sheet and the appropriate size edredon (as expected in an hour or so I was sleeping directly over the mattress with the sheets knotted on my legs). In the morning, breakfast products were surronded by flys. When, before leaving the Hotel I declared that I did not want to pay a five star price for a two star service, they said that no reduction was possible and made me pay 600+ reais (300 US$) for a nigthmare one night stay. AVOID THIS HOTEL AND ITS POOR SERVICE (EVEN FOR THE REALLY POOR LEVEL OF BRASIL HOTELS).
