Review 1：Rug in room had stains. Ants in room. There was no atmosphere in the restaurants and the waiter seemed to have forgotten about us after seating us. We left!!! TV was blaring in the dinning room. The whole place felt a bit run down.
Review 2：Location. Bed was nice. Bathroom was nice. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful.
Review 3：Very low quality breakfast, cheap rooms, old box TV, bad plugs ... and not very friendly owner .. saw him patronizing a young host and denying him access to his room with his bicycle, nothing to say about the policy but the posture was very authoritative and just felt .. wrong.
Review 4：Would recommend that the instructions to get to the hotel from Portalegre stress keeping to the Lisbon road and mention N18 as well as N4. The detour into Estremoz was not intended although it is a beautiful town and well worth a visit!

Review 7：Just a mile out of town in the countryside but with a view of the castle. The receptionists and owner all spoke English. We enjoyed the on site steak on a stone restaurant which the owner clearly enjoys himself.
Review 8：The way they charged my credit card before we got there paying scant regard to my instruction that we were paying cash. They refused to credit the amount back and re invoice us. They let it slip that this argument with guests happened often. They insisted that we were to blame not them nor booking.com. Whatever happened to "Customer first"?

Review 16：There are no proper blinds for the windows in the rooms, they just block direct sun light from entering but still a big amount of light enters. The age of it tends to show but still very functional, if it should be fully restored it would be a 4 stars. The prices of the beverages in the room mini-bar. If they would be cheaper I'm sure you'd sell a lot more, at least water and soda could be half price. Like it is I would drink it just in despair.
Review 17：The staff is very friendly and tries to make you feel at home. Very quiet location, on the outskirts of Estremoz with fields around it. The cost, good value for your money. I would stay again.

Review 25：We were surprised at the location, as it is about 4 km. Out of Estramoz,and due to a wedding that evening, there was no dining possible forhotel residents, which caused us to use a taxi both way ( 10 Euros ) toreach Estramoz for dinner, to avoid a drink driving situation. If we hadknown of this situation we would certainly have avoided this booking.The room lacked seating, but on request of the reception, 2 chairs wereimmediately supplied to allow us to enjoy the balcony.
Review 26：Worn down building, in and out. No chairs in the room or on the balcony.Hard beds. Dirty carpet on the floor. Unpleasant and unhelpful staff.Uncharming restaurant. We even had to argue with the waiter about thetv: We were only two foreign couples at the restaurant, we didn't wantto watch loud Portugese "soap" but the waiter insisted!! Absolutelyuncharming surroundings.

Review 29：quite a bargain. it's a relatively upscale 3 star hotel, for a small price. facilities are excellent. however, it is located a few minutes' drive outside the ciry, so you gotta have a car. moreover, it was not easy to find - we had to ask at a tourist information office.
