Reviews for Frisco Lodge
Review 1:The only negative was there weren't comforters, or extra blankets for the bed. The bed was covered with just 2 thin coverlets, and we had to keep the heater on all night.
Review 2:We stayed just one night, checked in after a day of skiing. Room was pleasant, clean and warm ! The staff welcomed us to Happy Hour of snacks and wine and we enjoyed good conversations with the other guests. Great location, you could walk to any number of restaurants to grab a meal. Breakfast the next morning was delicious.
Review 3:Very good Breakfast @ 4:30pm wine, soup and cheese Nice cozy living room with fireplace where you can relax and enjoy your breakfast and the wine and cheese in the afternoon
Review 4:I had a room behind the main house and I know it probably can't be changed, but seeing all the garbage piled outside if sort of an eye sore. Takes away a little of the charm.
Review 5:I loved the "down home" feel of the rooms with all the amenities. The owner is the sweetest thing since lollipops, and the entire place couldn't be more charming!!!
Review 6:The owner came barging into our room on a Sunday afternoon looking for an outlet light. This was clearly not true. No one was able to explain her bizarre behavior. We felt very uncomfortable and wanted to leave. She had her manager refuse our request. Only after insisting did she call us, but refused to resolve. Wanted to meet with us. We were on ting to maximize our travel time. There was no need to rehash what had happened and what we requested. Finally, we just stayed the more night. She never contacted us during this time. She and her staff made those remaining days very awkward and uncomfortable. Poor business model, not customer focused, while knowledge and skills in conflict resolution. Would not stay there again. There are so many choices with excellent client interactions.
Review 7:Breakfast was good; the location in downtown Frisco was nice
Review 8:We prefer charm to modern amenities. I was pleasantly surprised by the modern aspects and charmed by the antiques and somewhat small scale. The breakfast was a s standing ovation.
Review 9:Small warm rooms even with ceiling fan. Tired carpet and wallpaper. Crowded breakfast area.
Review 10:Location was perfect. Nice beds. Nice to have the extra bathrooms on the floor. Nice outdoor seating.
Review 11:The bed and pillows were too soft by our taste.
Review 12:The staff were outstanding. Friendly, courteous and accommodating. The room was small but cozy. The common areas were very nice for relaxing, especially the lovely outdoor patio and garden area. The breakfast was nicely prepared and plentiful and happy hour a nice treat.
Review 13:Our only complaint was the bed. It was ok, but not fantastic. We slept fine but after a 13 hr drive we were a bit sore waking up the next morning.
Review 14:I loved the overall feel of the place, the gardens were still blooming, but beautiful. The location was perfect, and close to all of downtown. The staff was friendly and helpful. I loved the decor and homey feeling everywhere. I would highly recommend it!
Review 15:The owner was wonderful. Staff was friendly. Room was beautiful. Location was great, I love Frisco and it's close to Breckinridge and Fairplay. lovely late afternoon wine, cheese, olives, and other snacks, and served with such friendly hospitality by susan, the owner. I've been to Frisco many times, but my first stay at the lodge. I will most definitely book a room here the next time I'm in town. What a great respite after drivng from Denver airport!
Review 16:Cost...
Review 17:Expensive but wonderful for meeting interesting people from thru out US and world. In the middle of some of world's best ski resorts. Always a most enjoyable stay.
Review 18:wi-fi not working in the rooms, had to go down in the living room
Review 19:Staff very kind with guests, looks like a family house not an hotel! Great position close to main ski resorts
Review 20:Superb staff, friendly clientele, excellent food (breakfast and "apres"/pre-dinner), a real "home" atmosphere that's welcoming but not smothering.
Review 21:Their "kitchenette" is only a microwave, mini-fridge, and sink. That makes it no different than any other hotel that does NOT have a "kitchenette." I expected at least a stovetop so that you can *cook* (and no, microwaving is not "cooking"). I felt that was very misleading. Also - their Wifi is terrible - rarely worked, and if it did, it was insanely slow. The staff knows about this as well (one staff had mentioned how the owner used money to buy a new oven instead of improving their Wifi so it seems to be a common complaint).
Review 22:Staff/Service - very friendly, Location (nice small downtown to walk around), great "home made" breakfast as well as daily Happy Hour (complimentary wine and nice appetizers)
Review 23:Perfect location for skiers and snowboarders. It is the central point of all those mountains covered in the epic/Colorado pass. 30 minutes from each. I have a gluten free diet and was catered for exceptionally well. Breakfast is wonderful, as are the evening snacks and soups. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the rooms, whilst old fashioned were very clean and well maintained, and the shower was wonderful. Frisco is a quirky town, with some very good restaurants. I recommend this location highly for those that ski, board, trek or mountain bike.
Review 24:Exposed bed frame in room 15 left me big bruises on each leg :(
Review 25:Breakfast and supper beyond expectations!!! Cozy and comfortable room... awesome outdoor hot tube... very attentive staff. Centric location :)
Review 26:the stairs inside and outside are a little steep especially when carrying up luggage.
Review 27:I loved the friendliness of the staff; the mattress on my bed was very good; great breakfast in the a.m. and wonderful cocktail hour in the p.m. and loved the location.
Review 28:Excellent customer care. You felt like a long-time regular even though it was your first time. Enjoyed the homemade touches at breakfast and social hour.
Review 29:Received two cherry flavored complimentary jolly ranchers. Arguably the worst flavor
Review 30:Staff treated us like family Cozy house setting Great food for happy hour and breakfast WINE! Free movie library (with great selections) All around great atmosphere
Review 31:The friendliness of the staff, the food, and the comfort were top notch compared to other modern hotel chains in the areas. Only a 10 minute drive to Breck and Keystone.
Review 32:occasionally the wifi would cut out. But had 4 choices, Jody code worked the best:)
Review 33:The staff was very acomadating and friendly. The hospitality was excellent! Would definitely go back. Thanks again. Cya next year:)
Review 34:Room was a little small, but fine for just an overnight stay.
Review 35:Made to order breakfast was great. Parking was right in front of our room which was convenient. Room was clean.
Review 36:The garbage dumpster was immediately outside our window and being used most of the night. Very loud.
Review 37:Central location, beautiful view from our room on the 2nd floor. Pleasant social times with other guests.
Review 38:Rooms a little small and crowded.
Review 39:Great location and hosts
Review 40:Small room Was woke up at 3am to a truck parked outside unloading his deliveries. Too noisy
Review 41:Not much

Review 47:Really loud exhaust fan in bathroom
Review 48:Coziness
Review 49:Confortable is the most under stated adjective you could have. As a Swede I felt so at home.
Review 50:I didn't like the double bed.

Review 64:Staff, staff, staff, 'nuff said!
Review 65:Staff & food outstanding - Recommendations made by staff regarding food, shopping & activities were excellent.
Review 66:We had to leave...
Review 67:The room & facilities were comfy & cozy. Great food, & ideal location
Review 68:This was a great experience; will stay there again when I come back to Colorado.
Review 69:Very slow check-in (albeit we showed up early). Decor of rooms not particularly my taste - very old-timey and kitschy, and overall the outside could use some paint. Ice was awful - came from a regular freezer and was clearly very old and smelly - consider a new ice maker.
Review 70:Location on Main Street in Frisco was excellent. Staff very friendly and went out of the way to help when needed. Very comfy beds. Clean. Nice hot tub.
Review 71:We booked as a last minute trip and our experience was wonderful. Thebreakfast was nice and snacks with wine in the late afternoon weregreat. The staff was friendly . It was nice to have a jacuzzi tub in ourroom. The location is great you can walk to all the resturants andshops. We would definitely recommend this hotel.
Review 72:What I will not tolerate is mice poop in the room. I understand that this place is old and with that comes certain traits. But mice poop all over the floors is not acceptable. What is even more unacceptable is when the staff then proceed to tell me, after signing the bill and right after kindly informing them about the poop, that I owed $22 for my 5yr old, and later that the poop was in fact gravel. I know the difference between gravel and mouse poop. Tapered ends and all the same size, shape, color. I had no intention of writing this up until they handled it the way they did. (they dropped the extra charges after I told them I would not pay the extra $22. I have only ever stayed at this inn when in Frisco. I am not sure I will again however.
Review 73:I like to stay in quaint B&Bs that have historical value.
Review 74:The only problem we had was that the lodge is halfway across the country from us, so making the trek to Frisco to stay again is much more complicated than it is for Colorado residents! Entirely not their fault, of course.
Review 75:The atmosphere was wonderful, with a great staff, top-notch espresso drinks made fresh to accompany breakfast, and an apres-ski (or hiking) social hour complete with wine and hors d'oeuvres for the guests.
Review 76:What's not to like? The only thing I noticed was the TV bracket in my room was starting to come out of the wall. A little attention to detail for maintenance.
Review 77:Very friendly service, great happy hour with cheese, snacks and delicious homemade soup, comfortable room and right on Main St.
Review 78:The location is great, the place is charming, my bed was comfy, the breakfast and happy hour soup and wine was a bonus . Everyone was so nice, I recommend and would definately stay again.
Review 79:Not a thing
Review 80:Lisa was very nice. Sally feed me a very nice breakfast:)
Review 81:Room was a little musty when we first arrived, but was fine after we opened the window.
Review 82:Breakfast was excellent! Wine and cheese reception was fun.
Review 83:Everything! Very sweet, quaint atmosphere; excellent breakfasts; friendly owner and staff. A wonderful stay!
Review 84:Breakfast buffet was great, rooms and lobby/public area are dated and looking worn out. Beds were comfortable.
Review 85:The hostess (not owner) was grumpy!
Review 86:Everything!
Review 87:Small fine place with charm and old fashion atmosphere.
Review 88:The cottage was a good surprise. People was very friendly. We felt welcome. From Frisco we could move to different ski areas around.
Review 89:That everything was so close
Review 90:Family room too small if staying for more than a few nights.
Review 91:Friendly staff, easy parking, very central in town. Extremely comfy beds, very clean.
