Reviews for Alpine Inn
Review 1:We were not greeted when entering or leaving the lobby. No "thank you for staying with us." No "hope to see you again" or "have a good day." Customer Service training needed! Garbage can in exercise room over flowing for days. 2nd floor room over pool -noisy.
Review 2:The location was perfect.
Review 3:There was one of the front desk ladies that wasn't friendly at all and looked very unhappy to be there. Also, the complimentary breakfast wasn't that great.
Review 4:Great rooms that had that modern feel. The Frisco Bus Transit Station is 2 minute walk from the hotel. It's also a short walk to the Rio Grands restaurant, liquor store and whole foods.
Review 5:The Alpine Inn was very clean. The rooms are extremely clean and well presented. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was quiet - i.e. I did not notice any noise from traffic or other people. I cannot think of anything that was an issue. The location is fantastic with a Whole Foods store within a 3 minute walk from the Inn. I would definitely return. I would recommend this accomadation.
Review 6:Breakfast was limited with weak coffee. It did have bananas and boiled eggs so there was some quality.
Review 7:Very good for ski trips because the free bus to breck or keystone is one block from the hotel. The breakfast is not as good as some others in that category, but everything else was good and in good condition.
Review 8:Very clean and friendly staff. A short walk to restaurants and Whole Foods. Great location and comfortable bed. I have back issues so that is always a test for me!
Review 9:The breakfast lacked. I was looking for some kind of meat dish, scrambled eggs, some type of yogurt, maybe a waffle making device.
Review 10:The facility was very clean. The room was great, quiet, clean and comfortable.
Review 11:I wished the lobby's fireplace was turned on during our stay! I wish there was decaf coffee available
Review 12:I liked having the pool and hot tub to ourselves! Our room was clean and had convenience by having a frig n microwave
Review 13:Our room was on the side of the interstate, so noisy
Review 14:Though they no longer had the room we'd booked available, they honored the price in an alternate, more expensive room.
Review 15:We liked this hotel. It was clean and comfortable and affordable. It was very close to I-70, which was convenient, but you could hear a lot of freeway noise. If you turned on the fan, you could mostly shut it out.
Review 16:Very clean and comfy. Even though our room was on the highway side, we never heard the cars. When there were no cars passing by you couldn't even see the road since the room was slightly lower than the road. Therefore it didn't even spoil the view.
Review 17:Breakfast was a little sparse.
Review 18:Very clean. Friendly staff. Very good big TV. Nice pool and hot tub. Amazingly quiet, considering it is so close to the Interstate. Would definitely stay there again!
Review 19:The bed was not very comfortable and it is right off the freeway, so it was noisy.
Review 20:I just wanted a place to sleep on my way home, so it was good for the price.
Review 21:The breakfast is very basic. It did include bananas, apples, hard boiled eggs, muffins, bagels, coffee, juice.
Review 22:This is a very reliable and comfortable place. It doesn't look like much outside but the inside was remodeled and is comfortable and a good stop with good value for a trip through the mountains.
Review 23:Breakfast was boring and one of the people at the front desk (7am Sunday) was pretty grumpy. It seemed a little expensive.
Review 24:Location was convenient. Bed was comfortable . Room was quiet. Bicycle storage.
Review 25:You really should have an iron and ironing board in every room. 90% of hotels have these available automatically.
Review 26:It was surprisingly quiet. The a/c worked well, the rooms were large enough and we loved having the microwave and refrigerator at no additional cost.
Review 27:Bed was somewhat uncomfortable & made me miss my own bed on the first night. We did not need our room made up, but we did request clean towels from the housekeeper on the second day. He was very polite; however when he accidentally dropped one of the towels on the toilet & trash can, he re-folded it & put it on the towel rack. This kind of grossed my husband & I out; we wondered where the other "clean" towels had been.
Review 28:The hotel was walking distance to a few grocery stores, restaurants, & shops. Nice location, easily accessible & decently quiet. Updated decor was well done. No funny smells. Staff was very polite. Room was wonderfully equipped with flat screen tv, microwave, & refrigerator. Free wi-fi was adequate for a non-business traveler.
Review 29:Brakfast was a little bare and the juice maker didn't work.
Review 30:The staff was wonderful and the rooms were clean. pool was nice and hotel is beautifully updated.
Review 31:Looking for coffee creamer arounf 5:45am but there was not any available due the it being so early. The Service desk said that none would be available for an hour. I guess that response was ok, but a great service rep would have said," I will see if I can get some for you".Its the small things that keep people happy. : )
Review 32:Most all of it
Review 33:My wife said the mattress was very hard and she woke up stiff and sore. Breakfast was very minimal.
Review 34:Staff, pool, hot tub and room was very new and nice.
Review 35:Nothing... hated that we had to miss breakfast.
Review 36:Close to the interstate, yet no traffic noise. Front desk was super nice. Rosa, housekeeper, had our room TOP NOTCH CLEAN!!!! I love that I asked for a quiet room and I got it.
Review 37:Great location. Awesome staff! It's up to date and fresh. The employees did a great job ensuring that it was clean and that I had what I needed and wanted.
Review 38:A little bit noisy due to other guests activity. Nothing critically annoying.
Review 39:Small but quite functional hotel, at great value for this area. 15 minute drive to Breck, Keystone. Great service attitude by staff
Review 40:Single layer toilet paper. Triple layer toilet paper would have been preferable. Hotel has a storage room, but no specific facilities for storing skis and ski boots. Carpets were rather shabby, probably because guests walk around in the hotel in their ski boots (which is acceptable in the U.S.). Heating facilities in the room are too noisy for a light sleeper. I stayed 7 nights in the hotel. Rather unusually, I was expected to pay for my stay immediately upon arrival.
Review 41:Hotel is under 5 minutes walking distance from Frisco transportation centre, which is linked to Breckenridge ski resort by a regular free bus service. However, I only chose to stay in Frisco, because Breckenridge (like other U.S. ski resorts) does not offer competitively priced hotel accommodtaion for single travellers or couples. Complimentary breakfast is provided, being superior to the U.S. norm but inferior to the European norm. Boiled eggs were chilled in iced water, whereas in Europe they are served warm. Noise insulation seems very good. My room faced the interstate highway, but traffic noise was negligible.
Review 42:No complaint's
Review 43:5 star service...where else do they shovel the snow in front down sides and behind the cars in the lot. Easy for us to load and get to the slopes clean well maintained and great attentive staff, any need. It says continental breakfast and it was what I expected, and got. I will stay here again
Review 44:Not a particularly professional staff, unacceptable bed, limited breakfast, useless wifi when used in ones room, no lobby coffee except during breakfast hours.
Review 45:Very nice re-modeling job. Nice location.
Review 46:beds were soft. No towel bar for hand towels by sink in room. With no sink in the toilet and tub room there is little room to put anything so we worried about things falling into the toilet as it did not have a closing cover. Weak water pressure. Noisy heater and stuffy room.
Review 47:Good location for access to nearby ski areas. Clean room. Good breakfast. Nice staff.
Review 48:If staying here wasn't such a value I could complain about the breakfast lacking a bit but not for the money. The hardboiled eggs, muffins, bagels and cream cheese ,cereals, good coffee and o.j. provided enough sustenance for my ski morning.
Review 49:For the money you can't beat the Alpine Inn. Newly remodeled, friendly staff, great location.
Review 50:Would have liked a hot breakfast, but you get what you pay for!
Review 51:Perfect location for a skiing trip! There is a bus stop and a Hertz right across the street. The buses are free and will take you to Breck, Keystone, A-basin, or Copper. Take the Fresh Tracks shuttle to get to Vail or Denver (book 2+ days in advance, not too expensive). A great price for the location and amenities. Highly recommended
Review 52:Bathroom is very small, but that's typical for price range. One problem I have with this and other hotels is charging extra for more than two adults when the room has two queen beds. Why offer two queens then charge extra for using the second one? I had to pay extra for my college-age kids ($10/kid/night) not a lot but bothersome.
Review 53:Nice facilities, convenient location
Review 54:We stayed at two separate visits. The room on the highway side was very noisy with the trucks and cars traveling past. But we were able to drown that out by the loud heater. When we stayed on the shopping area side, we were able to sleep comfortably by not having to turn on the heat.
Review 55:The hotel has recently been refurbished, so it is very clean and modern. The pool and hot tube are very relaxing after skiing. The continental buffet breakfast is good, however only protein available is hard boiled eggs.
Review 56:The building itself is an older property so soundproofing is a bit of an issue. The beds while satisfactory were not as comfortable as say the heavenly bed at a Westin property. The property itself is located right off I-70 so you are not directly staying in any of the mountain resort towns proper and will need a car to get to the hills.
Review 57:Alpine Inn is the best value in Summit County for the budget conscious traveler. You are greeted with a small, nicely decorated lounge area as you proceed to the front desk. Front desk staff are courteous and provide prompt check-in to your room and gave a nice overview of the property amenities and details on the included breakfast available during our stay. The rooms are recently renovated and provide a clean, comfortable experience for guests. A small fridge and microwave are available in each room which is indeed and added bonus for ski trips. The property is conveniently located next to a Whole Foods, Safeway, and Mexican restaurant all within walking distance. There is also a WalMart less than a mile from the property. Overall, we were very satisfied with this property
Review 58:Too bad there isn't an elevator and didn't really care for toilets with no lids.
Review 59:This is like a completely different hotel since the beautiful remodel.
Review 60:Not much, I can't really complain about anything. The room was a tad cold at first because the thermostat wasn't on, took all of 5min to warm up.
Review 61:Alpine Inn was a solid choice for a stay. Worth the price, not too expensive, actually the room was nicer than I expected and had more amenities than I expected. Night staff was very helpful and nice.
Review 62:Breakfast was a disappointment. Only cold hard options, nothing worth getting up for like eggs or potatoes or sausage.
Review 63:We loved how clean and quiet the hotel was.
Review 64:The breakfast was frugal - fruit was not available when the dining area opened. Only cereals and breads for toasting. No yogurt was available.
Review 65:The closeness of two grocery stores and the bus transit center makes this a great location for skiiers.
Review 66:There needs to be an elevator so guests don't have to carry luggage up the stairs.
Review 67:Location was convenient; bed was comfortable, staff gave directions to restaurants that are open late.
Review 68:The dining and common area were good, but it was very quiet over there. Maybe stick a TV in there or pipe in some music.
Review 69:Clean room, you can tell that there was some money put into furniture, tv's, great location.
Review 70:Beds too soft. They could do more with their breakfast. No toilet seat lid is a bit public bathroom like.
Review 71:Good location off of I-70. Budget priced. Clean.
Review 72:Beds very soft, slept poorly. TV did not work properly...almost too dim to watch. Cont. breakfast just adequate, no more. No lid on toilet in bathroom. Felt like public restroom!
Review 73:Staff Cleanliness Location
Review 74:Clean, updated hotel.Next to I70 but don't worry about noise, well insulated walls and windows.Breakfast not as extravagent as other places but had all that I needed. Pastries, cereal, oatmeal, fruit, and boiled eggs. For the savings of over $30 less than other hotels in area I was happy. Across the street from shuttle service to neighboring communities.
Review 75:I didn't care for the coffee pot set up. I prefer a small regular coffee pot so I can brew my own coffee.
Review 76:Room was clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Location was good for us. Fridge, micro, coffee in room.
Review 77:Breakfast selection was poor. We didn't eat there.
Review 78:Loved the decor. Very new looking and fresh. Nice rooms, comfortable beds. Better priced than many places available.
Review 79:It would be better to say that they do not offer breakfast. It is beyond awful. And when I mentioned it, the receptionist asked if I was on a special diet which I am not. I just like decent food. This is not a 3 star hotel.
Review 80:I would not recommend this hotel for a long stay if you're lookingfor a romantic or luxury place; but for a stop-over of 1 night,it's perfect.
Review 81:We stopped in Frisco after flying from Europe to Denver because we didnot want to drive all the way to Moab as we landed late in the afternoonand were tired. The hotel was exactly what we needed: clean, good price, efficient check-in and check-out. We just needed a good night sleep andthat's what we got.
Review 82:No elevator but the desk clerk was very nice and packed our heavy suitcase up the stairs. The breakfast was a little less than other hotels but it was fine.
Review 83:Loved the town, the small hotel but with a classy feel, and very clean. We just came from a very poor Ramada in Denver and was very pleased to stay at this nice little Inn. My daughter accompanied me on my business trip so we could take a couple of extra days to go to see the ski resorts. She fell in love with the area and we would definately stay at the Inn again when visiting Colorado!
Review 84:Our room was very comfortable and clean, exactly what we were looking for. Not a fancy hotel by any means but e, a try what we were looking for. Great location too- near Main Street and I-70.
Review 85:Breakfast was substandard. If you're accustomed to express B'Fast at other hotels, this was awful in comparison - bagel, muffin or cereal. Perfect if you love carbs
Review 86:Location, decent facility for a short stay, staff VERY friendly and on top of things! Zach was amazing - knew who we were even before we checked in!
Review 87:Front desk/check-in girl was not very friendly or helpful; still rated staff as good in case she was just having a bad day.
Review 88:Room was updated and very comfortable. Location close to free shuttle bus. Will definitely stay again!
Review 89:There is nothing special about the place. It is very utilitarian.
Review 90:It is a good stopover in town, good value for the money. It is very close a grocery plaza
Review 91:Parking lot was a little small. Don't park along the south side if you don't want water spots all over your vehicle from the sprinklers.
Review 92:Nice breakfast provided. Clean rooms and adequate size. Very convenient location and easy to find. Lobby was very nice and inviting.
Review 93:Plastic Plates & utensils for breakfast. Highway next to hotel and road noise.
Review 94:The view of the mountains and the quaint town of Frisco. Great room with proper fridge freezer. Great swimming pool.
Review 95:When I gave the staff a "fair" rating, it was only the one morning (dark haired)lady at the front desk that could definitely use a personality adjustment. All other staff was kind, thoughtful, and always helpful The lady cleaning the rooms was especially nice.
Review 96:This place was spotless! It had very comfortable beds, a sml. coffee maker and frig., making it more convenient for our stay. The breakfast was adequate, everything they offered was constantly restocked and fresh.
Review 97:Great location next to the main road, as we were stopping by for a night. Pleasant, friendly staff. Light breakfast with coffee and orange juice. Great price for what we needed. Clean and inviting reception/lounge area. Didn't use swimming pool as we arrived to late and had to leave early in the morning but looked lovely.
Review 98:Unfortunately, our room was on the second floor and there was no elevator. We had some heavy luggage to carry up the stairs. However, the desk clerk did volunteer to assist us!
Review 99:This hotel was everything we expected. A good value for the money.
Review 100:Awful wifi. Slow plus weak signal. Had to use my cellphone hotspot. Our room appeared to be between 2 routers and neither one was close enough.
Review 101:Well-trained and courteous staff. Good room. Convenient parking.
Review 102:Walls are thin. Stairwell, ice machine and individual above our room were very noisy. Very poor night of sleep.
Review 103:Hotel staff pleasant and room clean.
Review 104:need to take care more about the breakfast room, by cleaning it during breakfast time
Review 105:very nice lobby
Review 106:No bicycles allowed in room. Noise from room above.
Review 107:Very clean, nice TV, nice room finishes, good stores nearby.
Review 108:Great hotel for those needing a comfy bed after a full day of skiing! Indoor pool, walking distance to bus and lots of food options :):):):) A++++
Review 109:This is a clean, basic motel with a comfortable bed. It's a good value, especially since it includes a simple continental breakfast.

Review 111:Very clean! Remodeled. Good location.
Review 112:Mattress was not very good
