Review 1：Very courteous staff at every place such as dining area, front desk, and cleaning. We took longer at breakfast because kids eat slowly. We were NOT pressured to leave. We also called the plumbing person to fix the shower head because water was coming with unusually high pressure. The plumbing person was at our door in few minutes. The cleaning staff is very efficient also. The room was also bigger than e.g. Le Meridian. Also, food, groceries, barber is a minute walk from the hotel.

Review 2：Rooms are not of 5 star hotel standard, without carpet and cheap furniture only lobby and dining area is of 5 star. Beds size small and pillow uncomfortable. I would Rate this hotel 3.5 or 4 star. But You will get what you are paying for.

Review 6：Annoying thing was the security guys on entrance as they would stop asand when we entered the hotel. They couldn't communicate in anyother language apart from Arabic and even on showing room keys theywould make issue.

Review 7：I like the Reception staff and both the Supervisors and managers. Theirresponse time was way better than any other hotel that We have everstayed. They were quick to response and get things done as per therequest. I must mention Mr Muhammad Boraaya & Mr M. Moghazy as theymade our stay even more comfortable by quickly responding to anymaintenance or room change request. Rooms are really comfortable &hotel is close to Haram. We must say that it was the right decision tostay in this hotel. Food quality was really good.

Review 9：The front office staff were indifferent, but the general staffs was very polite,helpful and friendly. Great location but worn rooms.. choked bathroom.. faulty taps.. However,you tend to forgive in this holy land.

Review 10：The room we initially checked into wasn't clean at all. The shower head in the bathroom was moldy, the bedside table had smoke ashes on them, it smelt, etc.

Review 11：When we complained to the hotel management they offered us a different, more spacious room. The room was immaculate in comparison. Muhammad Al-Ahmadi, the guests relations executive was very professional. He also gave us a fruit basket and some Arabic coffee. I have stayed at this hotel on various occasions over the last couple of years and it does feel like it has lost that same standard it once had. They could really do with giving the place a face-lift.

Review 12：At first they simply said parking is full. When we told them that in the internet it says is parking availbale, a helpful staff came over and told us not to worry and they will take of it.

Review 28：they changed the rule of the food after we arrived we had the travel in Ramadan where we have two meals and we can choose only one as the breakfast so, we asked the receptionist to change it he told us that it is okay to go to the restaurant and have one of them once we reached the restaurant they didn't allow us to enter because we had only iftar and we didn't go!! it took us half an hour to do it with the manager

Review 37：The location was very close and easy access to Haram especially for older and young people. All the staff were very friendly and helpful although it was a high season during Ramadan. I liked the prayer facility in the hotel where you can pray with Haram at the same time. The food was excellent. The hotel worth the moeny we spent.

Review 50：Restaurant staff need to learn how to smile to the customer as no one from restaurant smile at all and you feel the Restaurant make a great favor to serve the customers look like customers take the iftar free . I think Hotel management need to work very hard to train the Restaurant staff also to understand that they take their salaries from the customers not from the Hotel

Review 51：The equivalent of breakfast should be Sahor. We arrived after the Maghrib time and we were being informed that we will be offered free Fatoor. We a struggle I got it agreed that we should be offered complementary Sahor but my suggestion is that at the time of check-in, the person at reception should ask about our preference. It's a matter of one month only

Review 52：Cleanses is a serious issue ,housekeeping didn't do our room till almost after Maghreb and we were there for a whole week and every day was an issue till we called the manager. Buffet was unacceptable , old food and sometimes 2-3 days old food were served during our stay. It was unprofessional.

Review 55：The time of checking in to the hotel is very late (18.00). The hotel needs to address this issue and train their reception staff on how to make it easier for clients who always come exhausted before or after Omrah.

All the time room was very loud noisy from neighbor room that has small children

Review 72：Very far now from the Holly Mosque entrance because of the construction that takes place in the mosque. In my room it was always too loud because of the construction work.

Review 73：It is at a little walk from the Haram sharif. It did not bother us as we had stayed here before and left a little earlier for prayer. I have little kids but they are used to walking and it did not bother them at all. The hotels in the clock tower may appear closer but you have to change at least two elevators that are always full and there is a lot of wait time.

Review 74：We really liked this hotel. It was our second time staying here and would stay here again Inshallah. The staff is wonderful. Very helpful and professional. The best part about this hotel is that there are no carpets in the room which is very important for me as my kid has asthma. The rooms are very spacious and clean. Bathrooms are a good size as well. There is a bath tub.

Review 77：Room wasn't ready even i came after 18:00 the lock of the door was HS they take 40 min to fix it. the breakfast was almost the same and it was dedicated to one country (there special food ),but before was fantastic i have more than 5 years to stay on this hotel. Room was clean verry well a lot of dust on the roof and specially on the AC filters even the water kettle was Putrefactive completly i call the the guy to get another one,this time i was completly disagree on the room services.

Review 78：The distance from Al Masjid Alharam is walking distance but very long i.e. you cannot go and come back every prayer time. It is about 10/15 minutes walk. After making Omra this distance is long. All windows are locked so there is no fresh air in the room when the weather is nice. I had to wait until about 4 PM to got my room BUT they upgraded me to a better room and I think it is the best room in the hotel. I will not recommend this hotel for the people who want to pray every prayer in Al Masjid Alharam and who cannot walk long distance.

Review 80：Overall...There is no value for money and the rate is unacceptable. I chose this hotel simply for the fact that it offered free parking. I would however never ever wanna stay in this hotel again. Furniture and fittings are from the late 70s, and that's the lack of comfort you feel. Rates in better location across the Haram were compatible or even lower.

Review 91：Waste of food by most people: The food is a buffae system and is paid for so people take more than they really need to put it on their plates as a result they get waste. I have taken some pictures of the food remaining on the table ( No one sitting on the table while i took the pictures) It is extra ordinary that people leaves so much food, and most of the people sorry to say belongs to a particular type . The way to deal with this is to say to them that they can eat as much as possible but if the food is remaining on the table then they have to pay for !!! It is done in few restaurant where buffae is suffered in England. Hope it helps.

Review 128：I had made multiple bookings in this hotel as I was not sure of my dates. The hotel began decreasing their rates so I cancelled my original bookings. All the bookings made were free cancellation and were cancelled prior to the penalty date. When I reviewed my credit card activity few days after check out and found that I was charged for one night on my cancelled booking. This error was made twice one on my Mastercard and the other on my Visa. I called the hotel and asked them to reverse the charges but they said it would be difficult to do that and offered to pay the money directly into my account. I explained that a direct transfer would incur charges and I would not get the full money owed to me. I disputed the charge with my credit card companies and then the charges where reversed. I will say Mr. Shams was very professional and helpful, but not sure why it was so difficult to simply reverse the charges.

Review 130：Slow Check-in process. There were many guests lining up to check-in, but the staffs at the reception were slow. Priority should be given to the guests already at the counter, but staff were busy answering phone calls.

Review 131：The rooms are comfortable, the hotel location is near Haram. Alhamdulillah I have been performing Umrah 3-4 times a year, and this was the first time I stay at Makarim Ajyad. I intend to stay at this hotel again in the future, In sha Allah.

Review 132：Poor Beddings. The Bed sheets had holes. Wifi wasn't working on the 7th floor. Poor Cleaning by staff. Had to call for checking of bathrooms as both the bathtub and basin drains were chocked. Very poor maintainence of bathrooms
