Reviews for Hotel Patria
Review 1:My booking had not been received. I did not feel very welcome. there was no a/c and tv remote did not work - not 4 star standard
Review 2:Breakfast and helpful waitress
Review 3:There was no wireless internet in my room. Being able to hear the cooks' private chatter during my meal was kind of unpleasant. The mattress was too soft - but this is a matter of personal preference, I guess.
Review 4:The room was clean and the bathroom was exceptionally clean. One could eat straight from the tiles. There were peace and quiet all day and all night. I very much appreciated that. The older waiter was very helpful. The meals were tasty. The tap water in my room was actually drinkable. Huge plus!
Review 5:Was very unhappy with the hotel policy that my passport must stay in the hotel. It is only ID document for me and if police stops me I do not have any ID. The reason for that strategy was security for paying, which is stupid and can be overcome by simply asking for Credit Card Details. I refused to leave my passport and pay my stay in advance. Stuff is very unprofessional and even breakfast was included one day (my last day) breakfast wasn’t provided.
Review 6:Central location
Review 7:No plain black tea bags available for breakfast. About 20 different fruit flavours and Earl Grey but no Tea Negro or english breakfast tea.
Review 8:Nice hotel with clean comfortable room. Very close to the railway station.
Review 9:This hotel i located in the very center of Subotica, big rooms with big bathrooms, ac, wifi, broadband, free parking, tv, - everything. Breakfast ok. Very nice price. Maybe not so fashionable but very good.
Review 10:Unfriendly staff. I only stayed there for one night and spoke with two persons in the reception so I might have been unlucky but none of the two was very service-minded. When I checked in, the lady just asked me for my name and passport. I had self to ask about the breakfast and when I would get my passport back. "Tomorrow", she said. But what if the police stops me and asks for my passport? She answered: "They won't ask. Well, say that you stay at hotel Patria and everything will be alright." Or what if I had planned to make a trip to Hungary during the day? On the next morning I had to ask for my passport self to get it back. However, both receptionists spoke good English.
Review 11:It is a new, modern hotel close to the city center and the railway station. The room I got was big. Although, it was a cheap room. There are several currency exchange offices close to the hotel. This is good because Serbian Dinars are not supplied by many exchange offices outside Serbia.
Review 12:The staff were surly and unhelpful and the breakfast was a total disgrace. There were very few guests staying there and it just has the feel of a hotel that is about to close its doors for good
Review 13:Only the location
Review 14:The hotel lobby was quite dark in the evening, so it was not very comfortable to sit there then to use the wireless internet (which was not available in my hotel room).
Review 15:Staff was friendly. They made a 'lunch package' when I left too early for breakfast. They also helped me finding bus information towards Kikinda. The location of the hotel is near the train station and the city centre, so for me it could not have been better.
Review 16:The location was excellent. It was within walking distance with luggage from train station and bus station. It was also very close to the city center where all the activity was. Would have liked wifi in the room, but it was available both in the lobby and at the breakfast room.
Review 17:Unfortunately during our stay of 2 nights the air conditioning for the whole hotel was not working for 24hrs and no fans were available making the room uncomfortably hot. We were put into a smoking room and were not aware at time of booking that we may have been able to request a non smoking room. The bathroom and room furnishings were very worn and did not represent the photos shown online. We would consider the hotel to be 3 star rather than the advertised 4 star.
Review 18:The location of the hotel was good. The breakfast was good. When the air conditioning did work it was good. The front desk and bar area were pleasant and very comfortable. Free wi fi was great.
Review 19:cold room, noisy party
Review 20:location, staff
Review 21:No minibar, no late night room service, toilet not meticulously clean.

Review 23:Very poor breakfast, not friendly receptionist
Review 24:Large room, comfortable big bed
Review 25:Nothing
Review 26:Good location, nice room
Review 27:I didnt like breakfast at all. It was really poor. I had also problem with alarm, it activated while opening the doors without any reason.
Review 28:I liked location of the hotel, which was close to the town center. The hotel has spa and fitness but I didn't have the time to use it.
Review 29:Breakfast was exellent :)
