Review 2：At first we were offered a room with bunk beds which we didn't book. After "persuasion" we were given different room. Staff wasn't very welcoming. Rooms are simple but OK for the price.

Review 5：I was overcharged for the room. Booking.com by default made the booking in Euro. When I went to pay the posted price, in local currency, the man who checked me in said that the booking was in Euros so I owed 1,200 RSD more than the posted price, even though I was paying in RSD. Also, when I asked how to get to the bus to go to Lake Palic, he told me to go to the bus station, which was a 30 minute walk away. I got there, and was told buses do not leave from there, but from the city center. If he had said he did not know where the bus left from, that would have been fine, but to send me an hour round trip out of my way was very frustrating. It was about a 25 minute walk to the town center.

The room wasnt as good as we expected wathcing photos of rooms in Rooms Gat. According to the reviews breakfasts in Rooms Gat are good but in subtitiute hotel was poor. Our passport were held for the night, we had to pay in advance. Room was next to the toilets. If you are bookng place - call them in advance!

Review 12：A very nice place to stay in a quiet area. Large light room very clean with good bathroom. Breakfast available any time, good choice one item from menu, I had a huge plate of scrambled eggs and bacon and bread plus drink.There is a large restaurant for dinner.

Review 33：Depressing room with depressing lighting, dark linen in beds that youcant see if it was changed from previous customers, broken bed that wehad to change room, filthy floors that haven't been vacuumed forlong time, or washed with water ever... Only the bathroom was fairlyclean.. Unacceptable for germany!!!!!!

Review 39：Comfortable place to stay with very friendly personnel, clean rooms and good location - city center is 10-15 minutes on foot. Nice breakfast and good coffee in Rooms Gat's restaurant will make you happy from the very morning there. Excellent choice in terms of value of money.

Review 40：The only thing that I did not like about the Rooms Gat was that it is approached by a small road which at night is poorly lit.As the pavement on both sides is uneven,it pays to look down on occasions,not ahead,whilst you are walking along it.

Review 41：I stayed a Rooms Gat in May 2013 and was pleasantly surprised.The cost of the room was only 16 euros,with breakfast,per night and I really did not expect too much. The staff was very friendly (some spoke good English,) the hotel was very clean,the room ,although no-frills was large enough for 2 people,each in single beds,and was equipped with a somewhat cramped en-suite and the breakfast,(12 different choices) was excellent. The Gat is open 24 hours (this,so I understand,includes the bar.) Subotica itself is a beautiful,medium-sized town with a wealth of churches,museums,bars,restaurants and even its own "bar street," close to the railway station. A visit to the nearby Lake Palic is a must.It's 15 minutes away by bus or train and is beautiful.

Review 42：The double bed was pretty good - except for a couple of wayward springs signalling time for an update. Shower was hot & pressure OK - it could use a bit of a better scrub, but was not unsanitary.

Lots of power points for all your gadgets. Heated floors, I think - a nice touch. Decent onsite restaurant - bit far to walk to town for other options in the evening. Try the goulash :-)
