Review 7：Everything was clean, everyone was friendly and accommodating, breakfast options were many, and I was impressed with the abundance of recycle bins. (I hate to see recycle in the trash.)

Review 8：We loved the location except for one thing. Twice (in less than 24 hrs.) we were held up for twenty minutes, or so, by the lift bridge being raised to allow huge ships to pass through the canal. There is no alternative other than wait. Just bad timing for us, but others should be aware of this possibility in case they have tight timelines.

Review 22：They don't tell you that they charge you right away for incidentals, every hotel I have ever stayed at they had my card on file and didn't charge anything until we checked out if need be. They originally charged me 121.79 when my room was supposed to be 105 then couldn't tell me why and didn't follow up with me like they said they would. Then when I found out they charged me 57 bucks for the "incidentals" which made it so I couldn't use my card at all. They didn't offer any sort of compensation for the inconveniences we had to ask for something. I worked in customer service for years and I would have handled the whole thing differently.

Review 24：A few of the staff could have been a little more friendly. Not that they were rude, but we believe it might have been the manager of the breakfast area walked by a few times and didn't try to make eye contact. He didn't smile much either. Maybe he was tired.

Loved the "extras" provided for guests...designer soaps, great coffee, very comfortable beds, large screen tv and even a handwritten welcome note from the owners! Review 31：Suggestion for improvement - rather than bad experience. Free coffee/tea throughout the day would be a bonus - this is available in the other hotels I have stayed in. Charge for use of guest laundry facilities more expensive than other hotels in the area.

Review 32：Clean modern decor. Particularly comfortable beds and pillows. Close to Canal Park - shuttle bus an added advantage. Better than average selection of bathroom toiletries. Decent size balconies with good views of the city and bridge, particularly with the lights at night.

Review 40：I have no idea why you would build a hotel at this site. The "city view" was more like looking at a junk yard. It was so ugly looking out our window. Next time, I will pay extra and go stay at a hotel built in a nicer location where I don't have to look at a junk yard when I go out on my patio.

Review 42：There are three things I had an issue with: 1) Smoking. I have been at several hotels.motels over the past 5 years. All except yours had some accommodation for smokers. Usually aside somewhere are places where you can smoke out of way and view of everyone. There was no accommodation whatsoever for smokers at your facility. And you can say, well, you knew we were a non-smoking hotel, why did you come here. The answer is, all hotels and motels are now smoke free; but, everyone other than yours has some off to the side place to accommodate smokers. 2) I legally carry a concealed weapon. I have yet to go to a hotel or motel other than yours that prohibits legal weapons. What are you afraid of? 3) The TV controllers were set to have the volume at 25 out of a scaled of 100. I am somewhat hard of hearing. I could barely hear the TV when the air conditioning was OFF. When the air conditioning was on, I could hear a single word. This is ridiculous. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who would be affected by any of these issues.

Review 43：Booked it last minute and so glad I did!!! We got upgraded to a suite and it was beautiful... Large, great view and has a jacuzzi!! Staff were all very polite and helpfull! Location great ... Got to stay on park point but easy walk to canal park. I will definitely stay here again!

Review 53：This was a new hotel on the other side of the drawbridge, which was only about a 10 minute walk to Canal Park. The room was nice and clean and we had a balcony over looking the harbor.

Review 54：At first we regretted not booking a hotel right in canal park, but driving there literally takes 2 minutes- super easy drive and parking isn't an issue either. We didn't mind not being in the center of it all.

What a great find right by the water, and I'll definitely be returning!
