Review 1：There was an issue with the bathroom, but this issue is caused by the old plumbing throughout the city and not an issue with the hotel, per say. Americans are used to flushing the toilet paper down the toilet, but outside of Moscow and Saint-Petersburg, within Russia, the plumbing for the city is not up to date so toilet paper must be put into the bin adjacent to the toilet. There is a sign in most establishments to put the paper into the bin. This is quite odd for an American, but understood. If there is a bin, put it in, one can say. Unfortunately, the need to do this causes the bathroom to not smell so good. Closing the bathroom door locks the odor in so that the room is comfortable to stay in. There is spray available in the bathroom to help, and a bathroom fan. One will encounter this with any small hotel around this area.
Review 2：The staff greeted us as if welcoming us to their home. They were very accommodating and friendly. The location is in the middle of everything, including public transit stops so that one can easily move throughout the rest of this fine city. The room was cozy and professionally decorated with updated interior and a large flat-screen TV with HDMI connection available. There is a cold refrigerator, microwave, and a full set of tableware for two. WiFi is extremely fast and the connecttion is stable. Room is quiet, with the exception of infrequent hall traffic, but not too bad. The bed is one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in, and I've stayed in a lot of hotels. I slept well each of the 12-nights I was there. Good heating for the winter and I noticed there is an air conditioner. The window also opens a crack so that the temperature of the room can be lowered during winter. The breakfast is a substantial Russian breakfast, complete with main course, fruit, yogurt, a salami and cheese sandwich, juice, coffee, tea, and condiments. Perfect for getting the day started. When searching for a hotel, I looked for the cheapest rate with a good location. I was expecting to get what I paid for, but this place really delivered an exceptional value.
