Reviews for Hotel Jerome, An Auberge Resort

Review 1:The hotel Jerome is an iconic hotel in the middle of Aspen. It is an amazing place to stay. Unfortunately the main restaurant wasn't open during our stay, but we had great dinners in the J-Bar.

Review 2:Resort fee was unexpected. Really didn't use much of the amenities

Review 3:Staff was extremely helpful. No issues with booking or anything. Room was newly renovated. Nice bathroom and products

Review 4:Spacious room, luxuriously appointed furnishings, mountain view, attentive and courteous service, plus nice touches such as free secure bike valet and storage, Malin & Goetz products.

Review 5:Valet station is sometimes hectic and it's Aspen so you're paying a premium for everything.

Review 6:Location is awesome. Walking distance to all the shops and restaurants of downtown Aspen.

Review 7:The sit-in breakfast was quite basic, would have been nice to have the possibility of mushrooms, cheeses, etc. Maybe the hotel should offer a full English breakfast?

Review 8:Service, service, service & trust. I am seldom in a hotel where I feel as welcome & as certain that all employees can be trusted i.e. all personal belongings were absolutely secure.

Review 9:I ordered room service breakfast for 10am. At 10:15am I called asking if it were on it's way; they said they had us down for 10:45am. When it arrived it was still the wrong order, but the staff member insisted it was our mistake, which was a disapointment.

Review 10:The Hotel itself was amazing. Staff were courteous and professional.

Review 11:Gym was too small and not enough equipment.

Review 12:Fabulous, humorous staff! Location was phenomenal! Old world western high end decore. Played with the kids in the pool for hours. Food was great! Celebrity sightings oh my. Didn't want to leave and I never feel this way about a hotel. Even bought a hat!

Review 13:This Aspen vacation was a surprise for my husband's 50th b-day to attend the Food & Wine Classic. I couldn't have asked for anything better than the experience we had at Hotel Jerome! The staff was amazing, professional and personable. I was thrilled to learn they upgraded us to a suite upon check-in and had a lovely bottle of wine & note in the room for my husband's special celebration. I absolutely loved our room - - décor, amenities was pure comfort! We enjoyed a delicious dinner at Prospect the first evening and the sommelier suggested a wonderful bottle of wine for us. Thank you Hotel Jerome for making our stay such a wonderful memory!

Review 14:Someone had spend DAYS smoking in the room. Definitely not the hotels fault but it had been so much smoking that it settled into the fabric of the chairs, sofa and bed. It was probably the person who had just checked out of the room the evening prior, because it was fresh. So sad because this establishment is top notch. Some people don't respect rules, sad situation, but I wouldn't have switched rooms so I can't really complain! 5 STARS!

Review 15:Complimentary upgrade and FABULOUS room service dining.. YUM! Thank you!

Review 16:Breakfast is very expensive. Hotel was a few blocks a away from the nearest ski station (for Aspen) and bus station (for Highlands, Snowmass and Buttermilk). Though the hotel would drive you to the Aspen ski station for free. Concierge was a bit hit and miss e.g. one restaurant was booked for the wrong night. Could do with a local, next day weather forecast provided in rooms or at reception.

Review 17:Eclectic mix of Wild West, Art Deco and animal print decoration set in an imposing red brick building. Large, luxurious, comfortable and very stylish bedroom and bathroom. Attentive, cheery service from the staff throughout the hotel. Great vibe in the bar, particularly on nights when there was live music. Knowledgeable bar staff. Well situated for a number of the best restaurants in town such as Cache Cache, Steak House 316 and Matsuhisha. Great to have the option of taking hotel cars to places within town, including pick up and collection from Aspen airport.

Review 18:Charging to go to the ski fields is a terrible given the room rates. Service should get better over time but it's definitely not there yet! Residences at little nell is unbeatable for service.... Different league

Review 19:The hotel is absolutely beautiful and it is a short stroll from everything but the skiing. Nobu, cache cache, Caribou club, etc

Review 20:Our only complaint was the air conditioning. We couldn't get it to work and it was so hot in our room we couldn't sleep. We let the front desk know the next morning and she just said that it was a tricky system and we should have called...

Review 21:This hotel is beautiful! Our room was spacious and very comfortable and we had a great view.

Review 47:Location

Review 48:Everything

Review 49:Great attention to detail and a very helpful staff - made for a memorable weekend.

Review 50:for skiing we prefer Hotels next to a lift

Review 51:Hotel Jerome charged me for a room that I physically couldn't use.

Review 52:parking fees

Review 53:service rooms

Review 54:No complaints.

Review 55:Excellent staff and great place.

Review 56:Late night check in not smooth

Review 57:Barbara the rooms director was outstanding. Valet/bell staff was efficient and friendly.

Review 58:Everything luxury , stuff should be trained that car rentals in Aspen airport are located in the arrival area by otherwise perfect shuttle service

Review 59:Outdoor Pool , Charming atmosphere in an old building and nice rooms in an attached new one

Review 60:They could have given us better advise regarding the airport when we got snowed in .

Review 61:The hotel was excellent . Loved the heated towels and robes by the pool. Loved the mini bar basket of food and the coffee machine. The games room. The bed. The overall quality.

Review 62:Aspen , being such a hot place should have higher quality restaurants.

Review 63:The staff of the Hotel was very friendly and very professionals. the hotel itself is an institution with a lot of history. The staff and the hotel have nothing to improve it was a great experience. the spa of the hotel was not at the level of the jerome.

Review 64:Nothing! ...The only problem is that Aspen is a bit too far from Tokyo, Japan. The area, however, is worth visiting even from a faraway place such as ours.

Review 65:This was our fourth visit to Aspen but the first time to stay there. This trraditional, historical and luxury hotel is one of best ones in the States, I believe. Not only the room we stayed but the common area are so nice! We would definitely stay in this hotel again if we could have another chance to visit Aspen.

Review 66:Every thing was to be liked!

Review 67:The staff were extremely helpful and friendly...the service was wonderful. The room was beautiful as was the rest of the hotel.

Review 68:First room I was given was view on an inside small courtyard with theventilation system of the hotel which caused constant noise.Unacceptable if you pay $600.00/night. They changed the room uponrequest without hassle. Breakfast cost is in line for the quality buthaving to pay $6.00 if you want two additional small croissant seemsreally excessive.

Review 69:Very friendly and helpful staff. Never had to wait when I had requests.Good location. Free Nespresso coffee in the rooms.

Review 70:We had always wanted to stay at the Jerome for years. It is a wonderful property but for us a little expensive. It is "old money", the front desk help was terrific and the hotel is very close to the restaurant and movie theater that we wanted to go to.

Review 71:Very shortly the things that compelled me to stay at the Jerome will bedestroyed. It is going to be "redecorated" meaning the powers that beare going to turn it into a Little Nell wanna be. They are going tohomogenize it and strip it of its old world charm. There ought to be alaw against such a travesty. Little Nell is at the base of Ajax, itslocation is unparalleled. The Jerome will never compete with thatlocation. Its only draw is its distinct character and charm. Once thatis destroyed, I will very simply stay at Little Nell's henceforth, therewill be no reason to be on the edge of town, rather than in the center.

Review 72:The sense of history and the old world charm are the reasons I selectedthe Jerome. Every detail said "Elegant old West" a style uniquelyAmerican. I have traveled all over Europe and Asia and the American OldWest has special charm, nothing like it anywhere. Although like visitingHadrian's Palace outside Rome or any of the 14th or 15 century Palacesof Europe, one gets a strong sense of others through out history who whohave walked the same halls. I love that

Review 73:J Bar, to much busy, noisy and smelly

Review 74:Charm, lobby bar, wonderfull bedroom and great staff

Review 75:A bit too noisy in main bar/ common area.

Review 76:Service, atmosphere, location. Shuttle services. Nice size rooms. Not too glitzy!

Review 77:Pluss beatific rooms. Historic decor and great service

Review 78:we had a wonderful stay.. Can hardly wait to see what the new look will be after the remodel...
