Reviews for Hotel Neuvice

Review 1:The daylight wakes us early in the morning because of the curtains that do not totally close the window.

Review 2:High-tech equipment in an old building perfectly restored.

Review 3:No evening bar. We used minibar for a night cap and sat in courtyard which has an open roof, chairs and tables. Breakfast delicious but expensive for continental only.

Review 4:Beautifully designed property with many interesting features. Close to bars and restaurants. Very comfy bed, really good nights sleep.

Review 5:A charming small hotel in the heart of the city. Simply and beautifully decorated. Large room with a wall of windows overlooking the courtyard. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Dined at recommended restaurant featuring local cuisine -- excellent. We stay at Hotel Neuvice again and would recommend it to our friends.

Review 6:Walk from car park with cases - cannot bring car close. Bed rather hard for our liking. Light switches irritating at night.

Review 7:Location very handy for Christmas markets. Comfortable lounge area. Courtyard would be a bonus in the summer. Staff friendly & helpful.

Review 8:Very over priced. Liege has little to offer tourists. Drain in sinkslow, heater in bathroom did not work, breakfast overpriced

Review 9:Staff arranged a restaurant on second night when we were unable to getin to a place on the first night. Staff were welcoming

Review 10:Loved the hotel but the street was dark and I was a little apprehensive late at night. I was reassured by the staff at the hotel.

Review 11:A beautifully restored printer's with exceptional staff. Full of character and a very interesting city. The hotel is situated off the Market Place contains a good mix of specialists shops.

Review 12:We felt that the street and immediate area is not clean and somewhat intimidating. If you have a car it is very awkward to park the car and unload the luggage. On saying that it is extremely handy and all other aspects of the hotel are excellent.

Review 13:The hotel is clean, modern with great facilities. Bathroom and bedrooms lovely. Staff - Alice was very helpful as we couldn't find the hotel with the GPS - however, in end found it after asking a policeman. No cars allowed down the street. Parking close by is excellent.Breakfasts were amazing - fresh fruits, juice and breads/croissants - well worth having at the hotel. Thanks Hotel Neuvce. We were there for three nights. Restaurant recommendatios were great as well -thanks Alice.

Review 14:Not acoustic insulation because is an old house. A bit noisy from the internal court. Maybe better to get higher floor rooms. Our was at the first floor.

Review 15:The building, the location, the staff, the breakfast and the near parking possibility. If in Liege, we would book it again x sure.

Review 16:although the hotel is very safe, the alley leading to it did not feel as safe. Maybe just got a wrong vibe

Review 17:splendid room, very modern, ultra comfortable and spacious. They could charge around 200€ for a room like this

Review 18:Awesome staff, beautiful room, delicious breakfast

Review 19:Magnificent place with friendly staff.

Review 20:Lovely modern hotel

Review 21:Beautiful building and interior design , lovely bedroom and welcoming and helpful staff

Review 22:I really enjoyed this hotel and the staff was very helpful and nice.

Review 23:Everything.

Review 24:WiFi connection did not work properly, (but as I did not ask for help in solving, I apportion no blame!).

Review 25:Very friendly staff, helpful and efficient

Review 26:Lovely design, beautiful location, warm and helpful staff

Review 27:Was a bit cold in the room and bathroom

Review 28:Design and charm of a boutique htel

Review 29:Steep steps for other rooms.

Review 30:Room 1 was excellent for those who have trouble with stairs.

Review 31:Staff were very helpful

Review 32:Nothing

Review 33:Friendly, courteous and helpful staff; clean and well appointed rooms; the hotel is stylishly renovated blending the old and the new in an architecturally satisfying way and it is on an interesting street in the centre of the town.

Review 34:One of the reasons we selected this hotel was because the photographs made the rooms appear very bright and I'm sure many are. We were disappointed to be given a room on the ground floor next to the stairs and facing a wall. It was very dark and quite gloomy, not helped by poor lighting. If we were to return to Liege we would consider this hotel again but only in a room on a higher floor with more natural light.

Review 35:This was a very contemporary boutique style hotel fashioned out of a much more ancient building. Very central for the centre of Liege. Excellent if expensive breakfast.

Review 36:Amazing! The hotel was just beautiful and our room was spacious and really clean. The staff was very friendly and polite. We enjoyed our stay so much!

Review 37:christmas lights in front of the hotel didin't work :-)

Review 38:good quality family room, kids love their "own" floor, delicious breakfast, nice warm fire

Review 39:The channels of the tv are mostly french. There are about 200 channelsof which only 4 of them are Dutch and maybe 5 of them are English.

Review 40:The hotel was ah-ma-zing!! It was truly wonderful. The trip to Liege wasa surprise for my mom's birthday and before our arrival I contactedthe hotel to inquire about anything extra they did for birthdays. Theygave me a few options and I eventually chose the bottle of champagne.Upon arrival in our room, the bottle of champagne was ready for us,complete with glasses and a happy birthday note in our own language (inthis case Dutch). I loved that little extra effort they put into mystay. We didn't really like the city Liege, but we decided that theonly reason why we would ever do come back was for the hotel.Apart from the excellent service, the location of the hotel is perfect. It's right in between the new centre and the old centre. And last but certainly not least, the hotel itself! The way they incorporated the old architecture with new, modern and luxurious elements is absolutely superb! It's elegant, graceful, peaceful.. simply wonderful! Tip: when you do visit, make sure you check out the toilets in the basement, you will be surprised! Also, in previous reviews there were comments about no kettle in the room. Before my arrival I contacted the hotel about this and they informed me that every room has a kettle complete with cups, coffee and tea. You will also get two bottles of water free of charge to go with it!

Review 41:This remodeled boutique hotel is in an older building and does not have an elevator. Navigating the narrow curving stairways with luggage can be an adventure. The desk is not staffed after 9:00 pm. On two of three mornings the requested wake-up call was at least twenty minutes late. Street door is always locked, and room key needed for entry. My key failed several times in front door

Review 42:Room very comfortable. The location of the hotel is excellent for sightseeing, and there are very good restaurants nearby. The staff is very attentive, helpful and knowledgeable. The manager gave us excellent suggestions for dinners. The hotel is on a quiet pedestrian street, with an excellent bakery and cheese shop next door and across the street

Review 43:Our room was on the second floor, up a very old but very safe winding staircase. The room, in total contrast, was ultra modern. It retained the ethos of a 'boutique' hotel, yet it is set in a very old building. We will be back!

Review 44:The family room does not have an elevator leading to it. The rest is more then fine.

Review 45:The hotel was really good in everything. Food, staff, clean and well-designed rooms for a reasonable price.

Review 46:Television was not working correctly, receptionist managed to tune tobbc News on our arrival but we could not change channel. We Could notget it to work next morning. Also light bulb missing from one lamp andanother did not work, lighting very subdued

Review 47:Central location, comfortable beds, modern style

Review 48:We felt badly that we couldn't stay there as it looked beautiful and they were lovely. A missed opportunity.

Review 49:Actually we didn't stay here as they had sold all the other rooms to a big party and they didn't want us to have a noisy night. They booked us into another more expensive hotel and they paid the difference. And gave us cab fare to make the change across town. Could not have been more fair and more generous.

Review 50:The hotel and staff were great but we were not impressed with the city. We had to climb two flights to get to our room and although it wasn't that big of a deal, it should be mentioned that there is no elevator.

Review 51:The hotel is a restored 17th century building and it's quite beautiful. The free wifi and the reception staff were excellent. Guitane (not sure how to spell her name) actually carried one of our heavy luggage up the two flights of stairs and took the time to give us an overview of the room and hotel.

Review 52:Nothing I could be accommodating of.

Review 53:A small boutique hotel - modern, stylish and well serviced by impressive, inovative and entrepreneurial owners. Nearby secure public car park works well for this city hotel. Did not have breakfast to comment on catering.

Review 54:- 15 € pp. for breakfast is rather expensive.

Review 55:- Staff was very nice. - Room and hotel were beautifully decorated. - Central location. - Great shower.

Review 56:Tucked away in the historic center of Liège, this Boutique hotel is probably the most tasteful, friendly and comfortable you can get in the whole town of Liege. Don't miss out on the lafrite resto around the corner!

Review 57:Great stay. A really friendly boutique hotel. Very clean and comfortable. Need to climb stairs to room. Good breakfast (15Euros). Well located in old town - 50m from Christmas market. Fully recommend.

Review 58:The room was freezing due to the fact that all electrical devices wereshutdown when you left the room. And also if you pushed the button thelandlady invited you to push before going to sleep to avoid the"annoying led indicators" on the light switches. Well, you notice thisin the morning. Breakfast was fine. The facility is split in 2 rooms, one being a stair of flights down from the one where the staff islocated. I was served one cup of coffee, had top move up the stairslater (with a bad leg) to ask for more, and got another one cup ofcoffee. After 10:00 o'clock the hustling around my table was a clearindication not to ask for another one.

Review 59:Friendliness at the reception. The room I was in was quite comfortable, great beds. Nice bathroom too. Very clean and very quiet, especially fora hotel situated in the center of the city.

Review 60:Have a local city map. We visited the city without knowing anythingabout it or where anything was located. It took a little time tofigure out how to operate the tv, suggest instructions be provided ineach room.

Review 61:Location was perfect and quiet. Near everything. Staff was outstandingand very friendly. Everyone went out of their way to make us welcome andcomfortable.

Review 62:Breakfast price excessive (although of good quality). A kettle in theroom would be appreciated.

Review 63:Everything perfect! Very clean room with refined furniture and suitableappliances (free WiFi, satellite tv with hundreds of channels). Veryfriendly staff. Perfect location in the city center.

Review 64:No private parking

Review 65:Friendly owner and hotel has a fresh mordern feel with all the latest mod cons, sat tv, wifi, electric shutters, etc. Rooms are tastefully decorated and very clean.

Review 66:very nice staff, nicely renovated hotel with beautiful original features. lovely breakfast (fresh juice, fruit salad, cheese and meats, basket of bread), free wifi good location. nothing to complain about. I wish the owners the best with the venture and will be recommending it to colleagues.

Review 67:Nothing, it was a really lovely hotel.

Review 68:Beautiful hotel, new and nicely renovated, very friendly staff, good location easy walking distance to bars, restaurants and the wknd market. Highly recommend.

Review 69:Dificult to find if you are driving. The nearest parking is 10 minuteswalk away.

Review 70:Newly renovated. Very clean and cozy. Nice atomsphere. I din't havebreakfast and am not able to make comments.

Review 71:The location is difficult to find and parking is a distance away.

Review 72:Hotel is modern and fairly new. It was decorated nice with nice furnishing.

Review 73:very high end hotel with excellent staff

Review 74:Beautifully renovated XVIII Century building ...

Review 75:Beautiful Hotel, nice staff.. didnt get to see the town but had a great nights sleep and would have been happy to stay another night.

Review 76:Hotel Neuvice is a nicely designed and well decorated hotel in the centre of Liège. Staff is lovely. Would definitely recommend it.

Review 77:Fantastic room. Reasonable good brerakfast

Review 78:Breakfast was served from 8 o'clock onwards. If you have to be in meeting early you don't have time to eat it.

Review 79:Nice and small quiet hotel.

Review 80:the atmosphere was very pleasant and personal

Review 81:stairs not suitable for everybody, no access by car

Review 82:Location in city, very convenient for sightseeing/eating out

Review 83:absence of a bar; breakfast not to the standard
