Reviews for Rayong Resort Hotel
Review 1:Lack of a courteous greeting. No bath in the premier room so we asked to be moved. Was quoted 15,000 baht a night for a suite! Extra 400 baht for a cottage which we accepted. Breakfast(once we found out where it was) was an awful experience. We intended to leave after one night but manager did her very best to persuade us to stay and we were offered the best suite for the 2nd night at no extra cost. Apart from a group of Chinese students the hotel was pretty empty although it was midweek. Hence a number of facilities were not open. Wi-Fi was almost non-existent. TV only had one channel that worked and it was Chinese.
Review 2:The location. Great views from our room on 2nd night.
Review 3:No kids club. BF could be better.
Review 4:Prime location near national park. Beautiful pier with sunset slow boat free service, speed boat to Semet island provide at cost. Nice 3 pools.
Review 5:Overall facility is too old and definitely need to have remodeling. I stayed in a room located at the end of the 7th floor, and WiFi never worked for all 3 days I was staying there, and there's no LAN cable port for wired connection as a substitute. Excellent location but too isolated. There are only 2 restaurants, and no convenient store within the resort. If you want to buy any other foods or goods, there's no way but going to Ban Phe by calling taxi.
Review 6:The view was great and my family loved the long bridge from the bay to the sea. Early check-in and late check-out with no extra charge was appreciated (probably because it was not a peak season).
Review 7:Breakfast was average and wifi is rather slow.
Review 8:Great location, very relaxing. Good pool and restaurant. Koh Samet is an easy 15 minutes by speedboat so this hotel is a great base for snorkling trips to the Island.
Review 9:Everything from the rudeness of reception to total lack of staff itslike a empty film set era Saying 1960 the facade is a total lie towhat's inside......they are rated 4 stars location only otherwise0 from me/us......we actually tried to have breakfast but decidedupon viewing the glue all over a dead buffet to forgo...... By theway they don't even know what a cappucino is! A total waste ofmoney a rip off!
Review 10:When u drive inup the mountain and see the property its a true wowspectacular location but entering you realise it stopped dead 28 yearsago... Nor one Thai "wei " greeting in 2 days. The views aregorgeous the grounds lovely the rest totally dated this is a hotel foronly Thais Over 60 and come every year otherwise forget it
Review 11:The toilet lack of sprayer and no socket available around the writing table when you need to charge your mobile equipment. Transportation is a problem if you cannot get one except private taxi if you are not fussy
Review 12:The surrounding enviroment is good and a private beaches that you can enjoy with friends or family.
Review 13:The service is poor. Dealing with the management felt like being in an episode of Fawlty Towers. They really shout to guests. It is more a hotel for conventions and conferences, so they are not used to or don't need individual guests....what a pity, cause the location is great!
Review 14:The location with a huge park of palm trees and the sea view all around the hotel is fantastic.
Review 15:wifi practically only at the lobby, in TV only Thai channels, to get SPA treatment is necessary to find any person interested to deal with you - mainly the most of SPA facilities and offer were not available, no hook to leave clothes or towel in bathroom, lack of night small bed tables with lamp, air con old style with fan blowing straight on face when lying on bed - not possible to regulate, broken safe boz in room - not repaired during our stay
Review 16:location, silence, pool and beach, helpfull and nice staff, price, good breakfast, perfect to relax without all crowd in Koh Samet
Review 17:The staff is lazy. The beach is dirty and nobody clean it. There is very few beach bed and all of them are very old. The beach towels are horrible. The wi-fi is very slow and almost doesn't work as well. It's absolutely not four stars hotel.
Review 18:The location is wonderfull. The hotel is surrounded by sea. The restaurant is quite good, but breakfasts are very pure.
Review 19:If you are looking for action this is not the place to go as really quiet. Could do with a revamp but maybe would lose it 's charm. Showers could be better.
Review 20:Location perfect, very serene and beautiful. The end of the pier is a great spot for fishing. Sea was clean.Hotel has an old world charm , very quiet, staff helpful and friendly. Beds really comfortable.
Review 21:English is a problem! No activities at the beautiful hotel. Poorly managed.
Review 22:Beautiful scenery inspiring place. This is healing nature at progress for the soul.

Review 41:I've stayed here maybe 5-6 times but checked out after one day this time because of deafening noise of refurb works from power tools. I complained to the floor manager but nothing happened so went & complained to the manager at the lobby & explained that my children couldn't sleep but to no avail. I checked out & we could still hear the noise from the lobby as I was making my case. The children slept in the car on the way home. (my first ever review of an hotel but I couldn't let this go) I understand the refurb so it's in a poor state in the older parts & the drains are a disgrace & can be smelt from the lobby at times but the lack of courtesy for a returning family was unforgivable
Review 42:It's in such a beautiful spot & is jaw-dropping to look on the drive through it's grounds. The child's pool is perfect for my toddler & the main one has a proper deep end so you can dive without banging your head
Review 43:Basically I have been going to this hotel for several years I’ve spentover £1500.00 without question all the staff knows me “well”But unfortunately:- We were in the spar area and were ask to leave because we hadn’t paid for the privilege, the reason was by a very direct member of staff “TO ABRUPT I BELIEVE” if the other gests see us here they will want to join us – I’d like to point out there were 4 other couples staying in the hotel at the same time hardly busy - and we were then told it would be 1500 Bart an hour if we say - we left - somewhat disappointed – NOT SURE I WILL BE GOING BACK TO THIS HOTEL
Review 44:Generally the staffs are very nice and friendly - I believe a hotel isonly as good as the staff
Review 45:No wateractivities, poor english spoken staff, worn out pool chairs. Not all lights around the swimming pool were lit at night.
Review 46:Garden and swimming pool
Review 47:We found few oil spills on the beach and I guess this comes from the old boats that running between Ko Samet and main land. The rest was fine.
Review 48:The location, facilities and food of the resort are great. Very calm place and not very crowded. The garden and area of the resort are fantastic. Beach and three pools are also good. We have experienced a very nice atmosphere in the hotel. Strongly recommend to family holidays.
Review 49:Ridiculously priced food-twice what we paid on a resort on Koh Samet. Reception staff previously were OK, this time they were quite poor and a bit surly until a manager type turned up after a couple of days.
Review 50:Great location
Review 51:Reception staff poor and check out Lady was downright rude and unpleasant
Review 52:Fantastic location with great views to Koh Samed. Good swimming pools. Cape grill very good.
Review 53:High and many staircase, difficult for oldies to walk from car park to lobby (realized can drive to lobby when I was checking out, staff should inform guest to drive to lobby if see old guest arrive). Hard to adjust water temperature in shower room. It changed to very hot and very cold itself, should be fixed. Should have power points for guest to charge phone at working table.
Review 54:Rayong resort surrounded by private beach, mountain view with sea view, long bridge, boat to see sun set, breakfast, have wheel chair for old people. Recommend to have outdoor table for breakfast for alternative and to have BBQ Buffet dinner party for guests. If have promotion offer I will visit again during the year.
Review 55:I thought the food and drinks at the restaurant were expensive. We had a car so being out of the way wasn't an issue but it may not suit everyone.
Review 56:Our second stay at this hotel. The rooms have been renovated to a good standard and we had a nice view. I liked the location away from traffic and noise which suited us fine. The staff were helpful.
Review 57:Around the pool was slippery and dangerous for kids... Was a little bigand a little too expensive for Thailand.
Review 58:The views were splendid and the beach was very pleasant. I also enjoyedthe restaurant and evening bar. Staff very kind and friendly,Unfortunately, ddin't speak much English and didn't know how tohelp for activities or suggesting restaurants, etc that much....
