Reviews for Hotel Parus

Review 1:Terrifying list of penalties for broken glass, spotted towel etc. The penalty is 2 or 3-fold higher as compared to the damaged items real price.

Review 2:Quiet place near the city center. Lovely room design. Young and helpful staff.

Review 3:None

Review 4:Great location, just few minutes from Kremlin and main attractions. Helfull and attentive stuff, very clean rooms with all necessary amenties and the breakfast also was good (despite the previous reviews)

Review 5:A bit noisy in the weekends if your windows give to the small patio where sauna, karaoke and strip bar are situated

Review 6:location in the city centre Good breakfast for its price

Review 7:Nice and welcoming girls at the reception counter and restaurant, otherwise nobody is even saying hello in the corridor. The breakfast was not as good as I would have expected.

Review 8:The location is nice, all the sightseeing places are at the walking distance, seems to be quiet, at least it was quiet during our stay. They have billiards, saunas and strip-club - this could be good for a solo-traveler or a young couple, but not for everybody, mind this.

Review 9:Location was quite good, about 10 minutes walk from the main pedestrian street, but rather far from the metro.

Review 10:The tram stop was just 10 meters from the hotel entrance. The hotel was very clean, quiet and nice. The room was spacious, with modern decoration, furniture and air conditioning. The bathroom was well equipped including the bidet. The staff was friendly, they even offered us a kettle without us asking. There was no problem to iron some clothes when we needed to. Breakfasts were various and tasty. They had the best blini I had ever tried in Russia. We will undoubtedly stay in the hotel again if we happen to come to Nizhniy Novgorod again!

Review 11:Uncomfortable mattresses and pillows. Black-out curtains were leaving small gaps, allowing the sun to enter the room. Not sound proof rooms.

Review 12:Location was great, walking distance to center. Nice bathroom.

Review 13:The restaurant that serves breakfast starting at 7 a.m. doubles as a strip club at night. You do not hear it at night, but at 5 a.m., when it closes, the customers leave and make noise.

Review 14:It is a small, recently renovated hotel with all modern amenities. Nothing excessive, just very comfortable. The staff was very helpful. Breakfasts includes traditional Russian dishes, as if cooked at home.

Review 15:The location of the hotel is perfect for exploring the city as a tourist. A short walk to the view point across the river and then down to the Volga itself. 10 minutes from the Kremlin and main street too. The best part about the stay though was the staff- they couldn't do enough to help us. The room was very comfortable and clean. I'm not sure why people complain about breakfast, sure it's not 5 star, but there is buffet including cereal, toast, sausage, omelette and a choice of cakes. The only improvement would be to add fruit and non-instant coffee. I would definitely go back to Parus again.

Review 16:sometimes bad smell coming from bathroom

Review 17:confort, clean,breakfast

Review 18:No.

Review 19:Silent place to stay, close to city center. Own parking at hotel (by cost).

Review 20:breakfast wasn't very good.Lot of dishes were missing when we come and the quality of food could be better

Review 21:Soo clean, sooo correct!

Review 22:Breakfast in a separate building, some noise from karaoke

Review 23:Central location, clean and newly renovated rooms

Review 24:I liked everything.

Review 25:Nothing special

Review 26:Location Availability

Review 27:No restaurants near hotel. Restaurant in hotel very expensive.

Review 28:Almost everything, except -

Review 29:Breakfast

Review 30:Larissa is z very good nanager she let me get into my room although it was only9.30

Review 31:Breakfast room and motel approach

Review 32:Friendliness of staff Location rooms

Review 33:Breakfast is poor

Review 34:Location, territory, people at the reception desk, beds, rooms

Review 35:In very center, bar, billiard, even strip club in the neibourhood

Review 36:Rather high priced for level of services. Breakfast is no good.

Review 37:Confortable bed, rather quiet, had a good sleep

Review 38:Breakfast quite poor (it was OK, but poor choice) - some flakes, one type of fried eggs, sausages, bread, cheese spread, griddle cakes with sour cream or condensed milk. Instant coffee and tea, and thats it.

Review 39:Location - 7 min walking to the main Pokrovskaya street, clean comfortable rooms, all facilities in order, aircon, everything seems either new or just renovated, bed seemed hard but comfortable to me

Review 40:Perfect location to observe city center by foot. Close to Kremlin, Bolshaya Pokrovskaya and other landmarks. Very friendly staff, nice and clean room.

Review 41:This hotel is a delight in the heart of nIzhniy the staff are always friendly and extremely helpful and the service is top notch the hotel is immaculately clean and the facilities are very good can recommend the restaurant brilliant service all the time and spa and there a club Karaoke and pool bar night club and strip bar all on site. As the location is close to the main shopping street and minutes walk to the cities walkways with stunning views of the oka and volga and kremlin. I will use this again

Review 42:1. price for room higher than declared in Booking (160 euros/day - Booking, 190 euros/day in reality) 2.Extremely high price for car parking (in comparison with the same level hotels - more than 12 euros per day)

Review 43:location

Review 44:WiFi for extra fee is not friendly, taking into account accomodation price. The fridge was empty, it wasn't mini-bar at all.

Review 45:Perfect location, friendly staff, nice design

Review 46:small breakfast for additional cost; empty minibar and lack of mineral water in the room;

Review 47:Service; Friendly stuff; Entertainment; Cleanness; Comfortable rooms; From this hotel you can easily walk to the center of the city on foot; Despite the fact that the site of the hotel says the presence of the Internet in public places only, in my room internet was also available.

Review 48:A few things that travellors should be aware of, although the things are not in themselves bad. 1. No lift. If you are not capable of carrying your bag up the stairs, you should think twice. 2. The heating was a little too good! We did not see a thermostat. 3. The taxi could not drive to the front door, so one has to roll or carry luggage from the front gate about 50 metres. 4. The rooms are in an adjacent but not connected building. So after you check in you take your luggage across the courtyard.

Review 49:Rooms are a good size. Bathroom was larger than many similar hotels, meaning those which have been renovated to meet modern standards. The location was good. A short walk takes you to the middle of Pokrovska Street. In case your guide book is out of date, there is now a metro stop at Gorkova square.
