Review 1：I paid $100 for my room (after discount) but it didn't have a FAN !!! I understand if it doesn't have an AC but no fan!!??? Seriously??! And they didn't provide toothbush or sandals?! A 2 -star hotel in third countries does provide at least a fan or TOOTHBUSH!!
Review 2：Free wifi only by 30min sessions - very inconvenient to require login every half hour; room facilities very primitive with no toaster, no hanger in wardrobe in the main chamber therefore occupied unnecessarily the already tiny room for 3 adults.

Review 6：I found it strange that the room did not have an iron or a toaster. The curtains didn't totally cover the Windows...and there was no door on the kitchen....this meant that the light outside the kitchen and the light outside the window shone on the room all night long. This made it hard to sleep because the light shone directly on the bed.
Review 7：We were greeted in a really friendly manner by the owners...they made us feel very welcome and told us a little about the area. The rooms were clean.
Review 8：Carpet around the edges of the room were pretty dirty and the ceiling fan (which was low so easily visible) was coated in a couple of centimetres of built up dirt and dust.

Review 14：We booked this as a last resort as my husband was riding in the Syd to Wollongong MS ride and accomodation was scarce. We had virtually no sleep as the room next to us were partying with another room until 3 am and then the nightclub didn't finish till 4am.

Review 18：The cost. I think this is very over priced. You can get an Medina Apartment in Coogee Beach for $150 currently. I think maybe $110 would be more close to the mark for what you get. I admit it was very clean, however the TV's need updating and breakfast would be good too.

Review 25：I really enjoyed that the bathroom had the necessary rails to get in and out of the shower and to use the toilet independently of my life-partner. It is so refreshing to see a budget hotel that caters for the wheelchair bound.
Review 26：The room was really dark And the wifi was on a code for 30 mins/50 mb so we had to keep logging back in. Not the motels fault but the rooms either side were outside at 6.30am smoking and talking which woke us up

To shave, had to turn approx 180 degrees from basin when bathroom door was open. Exhaust fan above basin instead of shower alcove. etc.

Review 33：The manager asked me what time I'd like to check out. When I told her 'late; around midday,' she said it couldn't be done because rooms are in demand. Next morning, cleaners banging around noisily and 10am checkout made me wonder why she even bothered to ask. Also, when I left at 10:30, no sign of any urgent guests arriving and no real need for me to vacate room before midday. Tell the cleaners to shut up with their banging around at 8am and provide option for a late checkout.

Review 35：Loud music from venue over the road. Drunken people walking the streets at night. There were a number of people arguing outside in the hallways. The rooms were very noisy. Could hear when people flushed toilets in rooms on either side of us. Many door were slammed shut throughout the night waking us up.

Air condition makes room warm at night so we can have a good sleep. Easy to park my car and it's convenient to get to Wollongong center and Mcdonald's for breakfast from motel.
Review 46：Worst shower we have ever experienced. Antiquated hot water set up with little control for a comfortable shower. Had to leave the a/c running all night to be warm enough in bed. Not enough blankets. Blankets were wet.

Review 55：What was shocking to me was the receptionist attitude. I got early to the hotel, knocked at the door to check in and no one was there. I knocked again and she came and practically yell at me. Next day I asked for some information of the city and she refused to give me any information. The rudest person I ever met. Then the bed was very uncomfortable. Noisy room, I woke up every day at 7 am as a guy next door was chopping a tree. Besides I was close to the street so I could hear cars driving past. Very dirty room. I found nails under the bed ( ?? ) Staying at Flinders Hotel ruined my 3 days holidays in Wollongong. I wouldn't recommend this Hotel at all.

Review 68："Free Wifi" was ridiculous. You had to sign in every half hour with a coupon, and you could only use 50mb at a time. When I asked the staff for more coupons they got angry at me. The basin was tiny, so was the shower. There were no free toiletries except two towels and a tiny bar of soap. I stayed for one night but it wasn't worth the money. For $90 I excepted better service.

Review 70：The carpets in our room needed a steam clean. As they were obviously stained, and the walls needed a wipe down in some places (I actually did this myself). The free wifi was appreciated, although you do need to specifically request it which might bother some guests. We didn't mind much.

Review 95：My friend used to stay at Flinders Motel for one night, and he wasn't really like here. However, since I need to go to UOW college to take a test, and Flinders Motel is nearby UOW, so I chose to bring it some business and stayed there for one night. I reckon $90 for a single room there was better than my expectation. The only pity is there's no late hour food store or fast food restaurant nearby.

Review 110：Everything the rooms were small, didn't feel safe and no value for money unfortunately had to leave an apartment for 1 night as had been well booked out in advance and this was the best on offer. The apartment rate was cheaper than this room. I got on bookings on my phone when I entered the room to see if I could find something else.

Also after arriving back after a function, we found we didn't have a designated parking area. In double unit, need to have two chairs to sit on. The bed is not an alternative, as it moves across the floor when sat on.

Review 127：I had a slight cold, feeling blah, so decided not to return to Sydneybut to stay the night here. Not a wise decision. I needed a hot shower,a warm bed, there were a few things I wanted to watch on abc-tv thatnight, and then get a good night's sleep. First of all: no hotwater! The shower was at best tepid. When I reported this to thereception, the very pleasant woman there implied she was surprised atthis and said it would be looked at, but I see now from previous reviewsthat this is a standard complaint about this motel. No abc tv reception.I was told to re-program the tv(!) which I did. I got all four abcchannels up and running, but the reception/breaking up rendered themunwatchable. ...And sleep? No! There was a party going on outside theunits just near mine, even a child running around. The beer-drinking andpartying went on till 1.00 A.M. Who do you complain to in thosecircumstances? In all fairness, the reception, when I complained aboutthe lack of hot water and tv reception, did offer to change rooms. Butwhen you're off colour, in a warm bed, you don't want to move,just get some sleep... But even that proved difficult at the Flinders.
