Reviews for Hostel 7 Brasilia

Review 1:Excellent staff. Very nice facilities with cabinets, dedicated bed lights and air conditioner. Free juice and fruits are also quite nice. Nice surroundings with many options of food.

Review 2:Only one couch in kitchen/communal area but it's a minor detail!!

Review 3:Great security with key fobs for the dorms as well as lockers. Staff very friendly and helpful. Decent location away from the centre but an easy walk or bus ride to attractions. Good breakfast. Good wifi. Well-equipped kitchen with juice, coffee, and bananas available all day.

Review 4:a little bit far from the heart of the city but easy to get there by bus or bike.

Review 5:Clean rooms, air conditioning, great staff, rent-a-bike service, very good breakfast, free juice and bananas all day long.

Review 6:location , just a bit far from downtown or main spots but ok you can find a bus to take you there

Review 7:atmosphere! made me feel like i was in my home, people working there really care about you. facilities excellent, breakfast couldn't have asked for more. rooms with a/c just great

Review 8:The hostel is actually an oasis amongst other buildings on the block - the area surrounding the hostel is not very nice, old buildings, very dirty neighborhood and prostitutes nearby at night. Not a very safe area, especially if you're a girl. Once you're inside the hostel facility thought, it's a completely different vibe - much nicer.

Review 9:Great facility, very nice staff - always ready to help out and give tips about the city. Fresh fruits always available, decent breakfast. Comfortable bedroom with hot shower, a/c, and even a nice hair blow drier at the 'girls only' room. Bus station nearby which makes easier to get around.

Review 10:I was searching a long time for the hostel and only found it with thehelp of 8 brasilians! This place needs more signs and other things tolead the way to this awesome facility.Desite that I would like to find information how to arrive from the famous landmarks, because it is very difficult to use public transport in Brasilia.

Review 11:The stay was awesome with the big unity room and free PCs. The staffwere all speaking perfect English! The roomates were very nice. The bikeservice is nice and with 10 r$ per h cheap. For an entire day with 20r$ it is as well... Everything was very clean and you were asked tokeep it that way.

Review 12:As I said it is a very nice hostel, but a little far away from the centre. And maybe the room was small for 8 people.

Review 13:Very chique and trendy hostel. The accommodation was almost perfect. The staff very friendly and helpful. The breakfast more than sufficient. The shower a little cold ;-) The beers good… it is a pity that I did not stay longer.

Review 14:i could hear everything from the kitchen place at my room very loudly.

Review 15:very near at the bus stop, so u can go almost everywhere by bus easily. and very clean everywhere in that hostel. people are kind and speak English!!!

Review 16:I was sadly disappointed in every aspect of this hostel. Perhaps my one night stay wasn't long enough for it to grow on me. For a large +12 person room there was one small private bathroom that was always poorly taken care of. I never once say anyone clean it. There was constantly a puddle of water inside the washroom. The security was good but that's because it needed to be. My first walk outside I witnessed a man get arrested and after dinner on the main street, I noticed prostitutes every 20 meters surrounding the block. There were run-down buildings and stray dogs. When I checked out the staff member forgot to ask me for my locker key, and so I was charged for the key. The crowd was very young and immature, had I traveled with as a couple instead of solo it would be a nightmare. Unfortunately there is no economical option in Brasilia. Take your chances.

Review 17:I stayed here one night because I had no other option, although I was looking forward to the stay because the reviews were good. There are no hostels in Brasilia which makes sense because it's the government capital.

Review 18:I disliked nothing about this place.

Review 19:Staying at this hostel felt like staying at a friends apartment except the food was much better and you can't beat free Caju and Maracuja juice all day long. The staff were super friendly and open to discuss options for seeing the town and getting around. Brasilia is a great city and this is a great place to stay. You will feel right at home.

Review 20:Location: Suspect; in the day it's mostly car repair shops but at night it's just the BBQ place opposite and the bar next door with the crazy looking tranny.Security:Picture this; It's about 7am and all the dorm beds are full. You're awoken by someone wandering about and you see it's a guy. You tell yourself that the all girls dorm is perhaps now mixed. But later you and the other ladies realise that no, there was strange a guy in the room. He had let himself into the room, had a shower and left. I did see this guy again. He was cleaning the room the following day. This was how it was the whole time. No knock, just the staff letting themselves in to do whatever as though etiquette need not be afforded to travellers. The same day, while we were all getting ready to go out, another staff opened the door and showed a new girl into the full room. The newcomer apologised and said that her room wasn't ready and she'd been asked to stay/stand in our dorm. (How not the lounge?) Fortunately, the staff came back and told her that her room was ready.Socially inept Staff:Now, I'm well aware that white Brazilians don't see black people as anything other than 'the help', athletes, entertainers and the down and out. But you'd have expected better during the World Cup. On arrival I was asked to show my passport. A white guy walks in seconds later to check in, the staff just ask him if he knew his passport number. We were shown to our rooms at the same time. The guy was given a code to enter his room. I was made to use my fingerprint to enter my room rather than a code like everyone else. It could be because I complimented the clever designs of the hostel. Don't know. I was compliant and didn't complain. But it didn't stop there. As the room was full for 2/3 days one day in the melee to get ready a guy came in to clean.

Review 21:Cleverly designed hostel. Easy to get to and from airport and fuselage of the Pilot plan, aka the city centre. Brazilian staples for breakfast; bread, cheese, ham, coffee and bananas; fine. Free coffee and juices. Nice communal areas. Place opposite does great BBQ at night. Cheap too.

Review 22:The most expensive of all the hostels I stayed in but seemed to be well priced for Brasilia. Not the best location bur was good enough for the purpose of my visit

Review 23:The facilities are great. Really cool decor and the staff are very welcoming and friendly

Review 24:Everything was very good. Prices could go down a little but I guess it was world cup high season.

Review 25:Very clean, Very nice people and Colombia won 4-1 to Japan!

Review 26:Very steep price. Fare more expensive than some local hotels. Still definitely worth it. Would definitely come back.

Review 27:Wonderful place and staff really did go out of their way to make you feel at home. Really great atmosphere.

Review 28:Wifi not always works, a bit far from city center an the price was very high for a dorm, 250 reais per night!!!!

Review 29:All the stuff speaks English :-) Have everything nearby.

Review 30:Bring ear plugs and your own toileteries.

Review 31:The staff is some of the best you'll ever stay with. And the camaraderie that is generated with other people is priceless.

Review 32:Perhaps not the best area at night. Lots of prostitutes about and didn't feel too safe walking around. Daytime was fine though, and there are bus stops nearby. Went during World cup and prices were very high for a hostel - about £70 a night for a dorm room. Other times of year will be cheaper though I'm sure.

Review 33:Really nice hostel with an excellent social area. Staff are very helpful and all spoke very good english.

Review 34:Staff will organise any trips for you - a good hostel layout which allocates for both sleep and socialising. The hostel organised friendly football matches, allows people to have hot drinks, juice and fruit any time of day. Great value for money, one of the best hostels I have ever stayed at.

Review 35:Bad location and neighborhood. Extremely pricy during the World Cup. More expensive than most hotels in the city

Review 36:Cool environment Great staff Nice structure

Review 37:Beds were really hard.

Review 38:Nice staff and good outside terrace.

Review 39:Good breakfast.

Review 40:The bedrooms are small.

Review 41:The place is very well located and its is a good value for the money. The facility is very clean and it a good climate.

Review 42:Can be a bit noisy.

Review 43:Nice clean place to stay and a good value for the money.

Review 44:Very nicely set! All facilities work propely! Excellent breakfast!

Review 45:staff is very nice but, the old guy

Review 46:Nothin'

Review 47:Always a cold beer in the fridge!

Review 48:Nothing too bad but hard to find and location not great

Review 49:The people!

Review 50:a place to meet with other travellers and share information

Review 51:location

Review 52:staff was excellent hostel was awesome amazing design

Review 53:Typical hostel, overpriced due to World Cup.

Review 54:They were open 24/7, friendly service.

Review 55:Hostel was a little far away from centre (hot spots).

Review 56:The staff were amazing! Hostel was new and so clean. Great common area.

Review 57:her husband

Review 58:The girl

Review 59:very expensive and very far from downtown

Review 60:the staff

Review 61:Exorbitant price during the World Cup

Review 62:Very friendly staff

Review 63:The fact that there was one bathroom between 12, maybe a few extra separate toilets would be great. Wifi dropped out a lot but they were always trying to fix it

Review 64:The atmosphere at the hostel was amazing, with the staff very helpful. The breakfast was really good and the whole hostel was pretty nice.

Review 65:I wish they had more washrooms. A dorm for 8 females with one bathroom can be a nightmare cuz the wait time can be long.

Review 66:The staff were super friendly. The atmosphere was fantastic due to the World Cup. They had a bar on the roof top with a big screen TV to watch the games and the drinks were cheap and tasty, especially the Caipirinha. The breakfast was great.

Review 67:Far from all, prostitutes in front of the door, and for almost the same price you find a better place in a 5 stars hotel in the city center of Brasilia!

Review 68:Friendly staff and very well english spoken

Review 69:bathrooms needed to be cleaned a little more often, really cramped rooms, pricey for a hostel (but I think this is the only hostel in Brasilia)

Review 70:great staff, breakfast was good, coffee and juice available all day

Review 71:The beds in the dorm were very close together. The 12 bed dorm was very cramped!

Review 72:The communal area was really nice, modern and had access to drinks and bananas all day!

Review 73:Excellent hostel I trully reccomend, very clean, beautiful, modern, the location is OK, the staff are very friendly and the "key room" is awesome.

Review 74:It's pretty expensive for a hostel, but there are so few options in Brasilia. It had more of city feel than a backpacker feel, but, again, that's probably just the crowd Brasilia attracts.

Review 75:The staff was definitely the highlight - they were helpful with guiding me how to get around and giving me suggestions on what to do. The hostel has a great common area and good security.

Review 76:No A/C in rooms until after 7pm (can't take a nap in the afternoon unless you don't mind waking up in a puddle of sweat)

Review 77:Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Atmosphere was very lively and welcoming.

Review 78:Rooms are a bit tiny but good enough for one night. Addresses in Brasilia are not obvious, so make sure you know the sector of the city.

Review 79:Nice breakfast with fruits, juica and bread. The common area was the best part and the wifi internet was fast!

Review 80:The hostel was very difficult to find from the airport. It could be better sign posted.

Review 81:For a hostel it was very clean and the people staying and working there were very nice.

Review 82:Lack of electric points to recharge PDA and cell phones. Few electric sockets.

Review 83:Very clean! Excellent place. Everything is new. Well decorated, tematic spaces. Very beautiful. Free juice and coffe all the time.

Review 84:My bedroom was cramped, and the lockers are of very poor quality. The shared bathroom could have been a lot cleaner.

Review 85:The reception and communal areas are really nice and comfortable; staff are friendly.

Review 86:-The bedrooms & bathrooms could be cleaner. With a big dorm, perhaps the bathroom needs cleaning more than x1 per day.

Review 87:-Bike Hire! Really good extra offered by the hostel to see the city. -Pedro & Andrea were very friendly, welcoming & helpful, with lots of tips. -Breakfast. Tasty cheese & ham toasties, coffee & juice -Communal area nice too.

Review 88:Is kind off difficult to find although it's near a lot of things.

Review 89:The staff is really kind and friendly and they can help you any time you need. Also the facilities are all new and very clean

Review 90:Staff is excelent and try to help you and give you tips of the city.. The owners are also very friendly and their saying couldnt be more true: we dont have guests, we have friends. Gotta love it!!

Review 91:Very poor linens quality. No individual reading lights on each bed. It´s be good to have a curtain to provide some sort of privacy at each bed.

Review 92:Security, ambience, staff, cleanliness.

Review 93:I didn't like that the patio were they serve breakfast and common area, had a lot of mosquitoes and did nothing about it.

Review 94:I loved the facilities, the breackfast was delicious, and decor made it look great.

Review 95:Kind of hard to find, but maybe it's 'cause the city has a unusual arrangement.

Review 96:I loved the staff and accommodations, they really made me fell welcome.

Review 97:The staff is amazing. They will support you with good information. The hostel has a excellent environment, useful facilities and a good location to get public transport.

Review 98:A little cramped in the dorms

Review 99:Great breakfast provided, new furnishings and modern design. Also lockers are provided under every bed so it's really convenient

Review 100:It's a new hostel in Brasilia with a great ambient. It's very clean e organized and they have a wonderful staff. It's easy to get there by bus. I recommend.

Review 101:None of the staff was particularly helpful. It was very expensive for such a bad part of town.

Review 102:The place was well-kept. Andre was nice, but not helpful.

Review 103:Taxi get lost all the time to get there. It isn't much safe to leave your stuff arround, lockers are too small and no doors have keys, so anyone could enter the hostel, into your room and mess arround.

Review 104:The staff was very helpful though a bit unprofessional. It is a easy place to have conversations and have a good environment.

Review 105:The staff is amazing. They will support you with good information. The hostel has a excellent environment, useful facilities and a good location to get public transport.

Review 106:expensive

Review 107:Cleanliness Facility Wi-Fi

Review 108:Towels top small. Sheets don't fit The beds.

Review 109:Great people! Great atmosphere!

Review 110:People, food, atmosphere....everything was wonderful!!!!

Review 111:Expensive but this is the only hostel in Brasilia so it makes sense why it's so pricey

Review 112:Very clean, great staff.

Review 113:Price!

Review 114:Localization.

Review 115:all good!

Review 116:companionship with fellow guests & particularly staff.
